Ah, got it. Obviously your tracks have the form like the original real model, not an oval.- 33 replies

[WIP] Crawler Crane
Aleh replied to gvo25's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The main photo with the Sir cat is cool! I've noticed that you implemented double winch to the A-frame, like the real crane - high attention to details, greaat!- 33 replies

If I'm not wrong real model uses hydroylic cylinder for every boom. I/m I right? Your solutionn is cool, of course! And about the track tension- this is your decision and not taken from the real model, right?- 33 replies

Oh, I didn't know about them even and don't own any. But thanks for the idea! Thank you. Firstly I did a draft with more longer sections but understood instantly that they will require a powerfull superstructure with a heavy counterweight, which kiils the project. Sych geavy superstructure may be build only in the center of the chassis, obviously.

Hello guys. Today when my country is involved into the alien's war, it's hard to speak about lego or to build something, luckily this project was very close to finish and after minor updates I will publish it. I hope I will publish both HQ images and video (I bough a new camera several month ago, yeah!) in case and only in case I will not have to escape my country!! I have to add a counterweight to the concrete pump boom, which is absent in the real model because boom is too heavy to stay erased simply on LA without couterweight. Also I did only two outriggers because they can cope with their tsk well enough, and secondly please read the reason in the introduction. Any questions or recommendations about the model will be appreciated. If you want to say something not abot the model - please use PM or spoiler.

Because without derrick boom (the orange one) this crawler cane can't be so most powerfull. The winch to operate the orange boom is located inside the superctructure as far as I remember. Added - that is actual for LR11000, LR13000 is a bit different, though. Ooperating the orange boom need only during the crane assembly, so ongoing operationg via motr is not needed for it. Only to assemble the crane and lift it from the ground. MOCers will quickly turn it into interesting model :) No: you will build either longer luffing jib OR longer powerboom from the box. If any option wil occure, of course -

How did you come to hthis conclusion? One one can switch between 2/3 functions. All three winches mau be operated by one motor + another motor for the gearbox. Please let it be technic parts! It may be like new frame from F1, but bigger, which allows to re use it in other sets easy. -
