Bionicle 2009 Discussion (Spam free)
---Vertea--- replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Remember when Vorox was the best ever? ...now, though, his mask just no longer appeals.... But Zesk always makes me smile. Kinda irritating, though, that those are just helmets... it would be cooler story-wise to have those be faces. -
I remember this movie!!!! Wow, this brings back memories.... I like all of the details you put in!

I just hope this trend keeps up throughout the next years... I really don't want another lime green case again. -

So far, I have had no problems. No loose joints, but not too tight. No breakage, either with Stronius' red, or Vastus' green. Teh piece quality seems improved. -

I won't buy. The only parts I want are the white claws, the pohatu propeller arm things, and the Takadox heads. -

*throws poke'ball* JINZO escaped! JINZO used teleport! JINZO ran away! DANGIT!!!! Yes, titan Mats is dreadful, but those parts are awful attractive... ...where's Antrozek do draw an attractive piece? @Bfahome: what???? first off, Nocturn is the Bionicle equivalent of Grievous(set-wise), second, NOTHING is comparable to Grieveous-at least the animated one that kicked megablox. The movie one was LAME. yeah... two seconds of sabers, ten minutes of monowheel, another two seconds to blast his chest open. WTF, mate? Although it really is horrible to let you go without that set- it really was a fine piece of work-for only fifteen bucks!!! If ever I find an extra for sale, you'll be the first to know! -

YES. And I'm glad to have purchased him. Glow-in-the darks, recolours, lime green, and an overall awesome build, he was well worth the price. -
Hooray for Domo! This is actually pretty darn good! 10/10!

hopefully! Because despite the HUGE parts score, I wouldn't pay over thirty. Fortunately, though, it looks to be about the price of last years "takanuva", but with better parts. -

yeah... but in a cool way. I like the pencil sketch artwork. It's really really cool, and doesn't look childish at all. Oh, and Cthulhu... there's never a bad time for a Lovecraft reference! Though while we're on the subject, the serpentine scheme of Vastus' design will definitely aid in a Lovecraftian MOC of sorts eventually. And I am one person that is very much excited to be getting Cendox this year-a much better parts pack for twenty bucks than Vultraz(though I bought that , too). AND it has yellow! And what's more, a yellow Kiina fin! And of course, there's the treads which I have zero of right now. I actually don't have ANY Bionicle-scale wheels and such... So I'll prolly want to pick up Kaxuim... -

Vultraz's mask was one of my personal favourites. Had it been yellow and red, he would've looked like a sun-god. -

The Gali mask still looks nothing like a KauKau, but it does look wicked. Kinda reminds me of the Glatorian iron man heads... Wouldn't it be cool if you could order parts based off of prototype drawings? -
yeah... kinda sucks a lot.

Woah! the details you got in the head are amazing!

I just noticed something about Telluris! If you look closely at the ToyFair pics, you can see a black pin on the underside of his shoulder armour. This is a great move by the designers! the second case this year of the set designers eliminating that dreadful wobble!(the first being Strakk) -
good god no! LEGO has already given itself to too many other things, and as much as I am a HUGE Simpsons fan, I would not like to see them as LEGOs

Anyone else wondering if we'll get a full trailer for Bionicle : Legend Reborn? -
The color scheme is VERY unique and I like it. On the whole, it looks very solid and all awesome.

Yeah... saw that a while back. Seems almost intentional-using pink instead of the olde purple to turn people off. -

Me too.... what a classic... And I'd like to see a tad more in the way of Mata Blue. Tarix was cool, but more would be terrific. But definitely Mata green. I have grown rather distasteful of the darker hues, as they do not photograph well and there's just too much of them. And, like always, I am still awaiting the time that LEGO finally decides to go with the fans and make purple again. A purple and yellow set would be sick. -

Actually(although I CAN see the green), I always thought that the Glatorian heads seemed a tad more towards the yellow side. -

A damn shame.... I really miss the dark green, dark blue, and the light blue eyes of yore... -
