  13. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MuakaS8N/BBC54/entry_pic.jpg The Dune Scorpion is a creature that lives in the deserts of Bara Magna. It harvests Thornax fruit and stores them in it's back. When threatened, the creature will fire collected Thronax from it's tail or strike with powerful claws. Normally nocturnal, these creatures should never be disturbed. This was a fun one. It began as an attempt to create the monster that Skopio XV-1 was based off of and ended up being a success in having a functional creation. The arms have a lashing/grabbing action when pressed on the Kalmah armour on the backs of the arms. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MuakaS8N/BBC54/p1020323.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MuakaS8N/BBC54/p1020324.jpg The Thornax storage is actually positioned for the tail to be able to reach down and grip the Thornax as a sort of reload mechanism. It actually works!!! http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MuakaS8N/BBC54/p1020331.jpg The head was another success that I am quite proud of. When I learned that System parts could not be used, I was at first bothered, then struck with the idea to use Cordak missiles for eyes. I think it works quite nicely and the head appears to do a good job being creepy. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MuakaS8N/BBC54/p1020320.jpg For locomotion I went with an old school rahi trick and gave it wheels. There are two large gear-wheels under the "legs" and another gear-wheel under the head. It makes it a whole lot easier than trying to pose several legs constantly. The Piraka feet work as a great substitute, sine the legs don't actually have to move. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/MuakaS8N/BBC54/p1020322.jpg The body used to be the Chassis for a vehicle I was trying to make, but accidentally worked as a carapace for the beast. And now, enjoy a video of the functions of the Dune Scorpion. Gallery(when public): Dune Scorpion Comments and questions appreciated! The BZPower topic (the same exact thing as this)
  14. Nuthin' wrong with that! He's a pretty good buy-great for parts-and the funky design is WIN.
  15. I keep my canisters until the next wave of sets come out. Unless they can be built with-in which case I keep any useable elements. @Toa Rodimus-that sucks!!!! EVERY set from 01-08?
  16. sweet! any hints as to the nature of what I should be building??
  17. HAY GUYS!!!! CHECK THIS OUT!!!! This quote from greg is implying that the new Ben 10 sets will be buildable action figures. This is something we have all been figuring for some time, and plenty of hints have been given that support this. Now, many of you are dreading the possibility of another Galidor, but what if the figures are made of Technic or Bionicle parts??? Do you realize the implications??? Ben 10 is full of odd creatures that if translated into set form would make som REALLY cool parts. What do you guys think?
  18. Stronius, Cendox, Skopio
  19. Hate to say, but that fellow looks buff and serious. I think it's the mask. I second that emotion. I, for one pick vehicles based on size, design, and parts score. This mans that if ever the driver is a factor in my decision, it is because it had good parts. Cendox: cool vehicle, yellow Kiina armour, more black Brutaka blades, cool mask, FINALLY some treads(I don't have any), good price. YES Kaxium: TWO vehicles for a good price, good parts, recolours, reversible masks, Bionicle-sized wheels, but a lot of silver: VERY POSSIBLE Baranus: not for forty bones, but maybe on sale. Good parts, awesome driver colors, plus three total glatorian heads and masks(the spikit has two masks mounted on Glatorian heads with Bohrok eyes on the sides). but not enough total to warrant $40.00. MAYBE Thornatus: more tan, recolours of Krika mask, Gali Mistika scope, wheels, really BIG wheel, nice design, rider is bland but has cool mask and new arm joint parts. POSSIBLY Skopio: The rider is unique, has a bitchin' mask, and orange. The vehicle has lots of red for those of us who missed out on Axalara, and then some. Transforming function, good design, massive. If I can afford it, YES.
  20. For nostalgia's sake, it's good. I have certain tastes in unconventional design and bizarre looks. sue me. But not really I'm still getting both MN's for their great parts. And I think that the canister MN looks fine. not quite legendary, but still pretty good. Stronius 22 + Ackar 20 Vastus 20 Kiina 20 Gelu 18 - Mata Nui 20
  21. I'll get on that. I'll also show you pics of him with lime green Inika legs(from Nocturn). just that part makes him look suddenly buff and menacing. Haven't the slightest what to do with that torso. I don't like moding too much-just enough to make it better. @bundalings: harsh, but facts are facts. It is simply whether or not it matches up to preference. In all honesty, this is prolly a horrid set to lots of people for the reasons you list, but I think it's pretty cool. I have an attraction to the strange and unusual. The worse a set looks, the more appeal to me it has.
  22. I know, right! makes 'her' even freakier. and the name. Seamstress. So cool. I'm curious what they'll name the others
  23. True that. those buzzsaws would be welcome in my Bionicle collection. Same with those wheels. Ona set-related judgement, the whole thing just looks so well designed. The way it sort of slithers along looks really cool. It could be the one PM set I purchase this year. ... BTW-what's it's price?
