"Invasion from below!" Pacific Rim much? If you ask me, I am not really excited. Although I have not seen the figures yet (because it's really hard to look at them on those pics). Also I don't really like the Mech and Beast designs. Meh.
-
So, this one is machine-based? Honestly I can't imagine good walker for an ultrabuild figure.

Assuming your manner of writing and your behavior (not to mention the year of your birth in your nickname which is 1999), the term 'old dog' cannot be applied to you. So stop being cocky and actually listen to people.

[LDD MOC] Hero v1.0 Custom Frame
The Mugbearer replied to The Mugbearer's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Hmm, good, very good! Though the legs weren't intended that way because of 1.0 leg armor, but it's ok. =)- 41 replies

Ah, nice Toa of Metal. =) I've also built one once. Although in my days I was very tired of Inika and Piraka torsos, I think you've managed to cover it well.
-
Good. Find some time and check out my works. Maybe you'll find some useful ideas. =)
-
Oh. Clever. Damn, his back looks so good!
-
The gun arm is cool. How is torso plating done?
-
The quality! T_T My eyes are bleeding. However, the model is good. Overall look of it is pretty solid, and some nice part usage (such as Hahli Mahri's wings).
-
Imgur will not fix the images' very poor quality. However, I can see pass it and I can say that this model is pretty well done. I personally like the chest and sword. =)
-
That's a bit too complicated, Leewan. =) Better use "Select by color" tool. That way you can avoid recoloring of the whole model. Also, when you select all bricks and click "paint", this will automatically paint them in the color selected in the palette (red is chosen by default). That's why it seemed as if bucket tool deselected the whole model. It has simply painted red bricks in red. :D

Design for new Hero Factory Torsos
The Mugbearer replied to Takanuinuva's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Ask Leewan to order some samples. :D Because these are pretty good. -
Yeah, a CUUSOO project might be a great idea. The question is: will it get the necessary votes? And after all that, project will need TLG's approval.

Hero Factory Moc Week. Nebula Gang 2.0
The Mugbearer replied to Takanuinuva's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Von Nebula's body is extremely short. He should have a normal body but hunch alot. -
@ Missing Brick, I need to find a way to rename myself then. :D People are often confused when I am attempting to defend my project. And I do it a bit over aggressive, so I apologize. However, your opinion on what CUUSOO projects ideally should be is quite similar to mine. I often visit project list and don't see anything that would catch my eye, and then I think "Come on, give me something that everyone would like!" But you can not indulge every creature, so there are always will be those who would say 'Meh!' or will be sarcastic as you are. Anyway, thanks for wishing good luck. I think we'll need it. =)

As Glen Bricker stated somewhere in the main CUUSOO thread, it is actually targeted on niche communities. Well, the exact formulation was suggested by Glen Bricker, and I do trust him in a matter of what is right to say and how to attract supporters. I am not very good at winning arguments honestly, but here's what I find attractive in possible FTL set aside from my love to the game itself: Small format of the ships allows to gather a wide collection. It's not that good for actual play and has no shooting lasers or cogs'n'joints stuff. Some people collect Hot Wheels because they are small and cool, and there was nothing bad about it. Of course, if it was in my power, I'd rather make big model that will fit micro or even minifigures, with removable roof and other bells and whistles. But I am okay with the current scale. And we decided to keep it and even rejected idea of adding minifigs into a set. Also, a variety of relatively original unique ship designs. And what do you consider to be an 'interesting AFOL set we could all enjoy'? Maybe you just want something diametrically different from those designs of mine? Well, I can be polite too, and say that those who express deep emotion of hatred can carry on and keep doing this, and then we will be equal, but you asked for an explanation of my point of view, and here it is. Not the best and detailed one though, providing that English is not my natural language.

That's rude. =\ If you don't like it, nobody forces you to dance and yell "Yay, congrats!" Nobody expects you to comment either, especially in that manner of yours.

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
The Mugbearer replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I guess that's because of my conceit. I don't think I need to be that aggressive about those things. That's actually the first time I make something that significant so I am very excited. Thank you, anyway. We've put a lot of effort in this project and I almost pray for success. But, I fear that Lego designers will change my original designs. I hope they'll manage to improve them. -
Hero Factory Moc Week. Nebula Gang 2.0
The Mugbearer replied to Takanuinuva's topic in LEGO Action Figures
That's a fair intention. Just looked at the HeroSector, they really have very similar structure. I guess I just wanted them to be a little more different. On the other hand, I really like Meltdown and Corroder. Although they also share the pretty similar structure, you managed to keep the difference. For example, Corroder's leg joints, which do really fit him. -
LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
The Mugbearer replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Glen Bricker did renders and some community activities that served very well for the project (also helped me to make an appropriate description and consulted me on a design all the way), and I did the models all along. So I find the lack of my nickname (which is CrashSanders, please to meet you) in your post disturbing. If I am getting a bit rude here, I do apologize, but please, don't say 'GlenBricker's FTL project', because that is a lie which irritates me. I am not asking to give all credit to me, but also giving credit only to him will make our relationship quite unfair. After all, we are partners who value each other. Also, more on the topic: this is all okay with IP because game's developers has actually supported us all the way to the 10k, doing important tweets and telling their opinion on any ideas that came to Glen or me. -
