  1. Karie's ears perk up at the sound of alcohol. "Please sir, describe this hurricane you speak of." She looks about at the large amount of soldiers. "So who are all the armed men? Sell-swords?"
  2. Worked for Karie... sort off.
  3. I'm flawless in my KO's. Never have been once! Just don't bring up hexing. That never seems to end well for me.
  4. Oh, hush you! We'll get to them when we get to them! I noticed them to!
  5. Karie wanders to the bar, squeezing through the crowd. She finds a seat and motions the barkeep over. "Busy night, I see? What do you got to drink?"
  6. Darn it, thought I posted. Sorry Zepher!
  7. Karie waggles her rusty dagger in the air. "Nothing but scrap metal." Karie wraps her cape around her as she makes her way back to the road Hershey trailing behind her feet. "Jeez, it's getting chilly out. If fall felt more like spring I might have enjoyed it more."
  8. Karie pockets the dagger, trying to attract as little attention to herself as she can. "Hey, Dyric, you find anything?"
  9. I'm not complaining! Slightly bored and more than a little peeved, Karie hopped the fence and looked about in the grass for anything of worth or interest, Hershey slipping down and helping her look about. OOC: Hershey's helping for roleplay purposes.
  10. "Ugh! I'm right here you know!" Karie stuff her hands in her pockets, looking about her surroundings for anything suspicious. She felt exposed on the open road, similar to the forest's in Eubric. Now there was something she didn't want the others involved in. Demons and ancient legends.
  11. Karie acquires a puzzled look as Dyric and Thothwick begin talking about an explosives expert, clearly unaware of who they were speaking about. "I'm out of the loop here, who's this explosives expert were talking about?" "Mreoow mreoow. <I'd like to know as well, to ensure I don't wind up losing all my lives due to some stupid bomb.>"
  12. The final battle with Wren? Ha! I was making fun of that battle before it was cool! Pie, what are the Camera thingies stats? I don't think you posted them.
  13. "Look, I'm more than a little inquisitive. I'm sorry if you felt I was being a little instigative, but don't you find it suspicious that an armed caravan gets attacked, and the one guy who survives to tell the tale happens to claim it was the rival house who supplied the bandits? That and did you see both of their reactions? I was rather polite about the whole thing, and both Grady and Henry begin to direct the statement elsewhere. I'm not saying they're responsible, I just have an inkling suspicion." Perhaps the Hinckwells were all the same, greedy, treacherous merchants who felt the need to hide all their transactions in fear of banks finding loopholes. What did her father say again? "A man prides himself not on the size of his wallet, but the integrity of his business"? Something like that. Karie gives a small giggle. "Well that sounds like it would merit some degree of mirth! Yeah, Thothwick, wasn't it? If you'd please?" "Mreoow? <What the hell is mirth?>"
  14. As she meanders along the road with her company, Karie's curiosity on the the rest of the party grows. An Assassin of the Light and a Metasimian Black Knight. Surely some conversation would spark? "So, any cool stories you guys want to share? Moments of badassery? Of just flat out, sheer dumb luck?"
  15. "I see. I'm ready to head out when you guys are, but take your time." "Mreow-eow! <Oh, please! You hate the outdoors!>"
  16. I have yet to put that Paper Doll to effect, but come level 20, Karie is hex free, so nananananana all you QM's! I think I'm one of the few people here who looks at the role play aspect of their loot. Why is the Oculoid Palm cooler than some other whip? Because it's a severed tentacle of an octopus demon that wraps around its user's arm and when not in use mimics a tattoo. Want! coughMaskoftheGenderSwapcough I'm not harassing you, Flare, I understand why you're holding onto it. I've just found something I find great joy in poking fun at!
  17. Keep them coming Flare!
  18. I believe the last film I saw was Dredd, and that was fun. I usually don't say it, but this looked like it would have been fun to see in 3D. It was overall a fun little action that I'll probably never watch again, but it was good none the less. I also watched The Dark Knight Rises for the first time. I didn't like it. Before I get flamed, the last act: phenomenal, in another movie. It just didn't feel like Batman. Oh, the whole city's under lockdown by a guy who sounds like Sean Connery on a respiratory. That's cool, but not in Batman. It's like one of those tacky America got to get rid of the filthy commie/ terrorist films that have shown up lately (Red Dawn remake, White House Down, etc.) I like some of the concepts, but the film falls flat on its rear end. Which is a shame, because the films first few and last few moments where we learn what happens to Bruce and Selina are good! As well, Bane as a villain was an exposition machine. "Let me tell you about people, Mr. Wayne! Let me tell about the upper class, Gotham! Let me tell you about the growth on my foot, internet!" Sure he has his scary moments, but he's too clean. If you want to make him an intellect with the mind of a killer, show it! Have him snap, have him kill some guy! Talia felt rushed at best. I wish Talia was brought up in The Dark Knight so when this film rolled along her betrayal felt more genuine. Finally, the main problem with the film was that it could never recreate what The Dark Knight created. The Dark Knight is an outstanding crime drama, with great action, dialogue, and acting. The Dark Knight Rises could never be as good or better than that. And that's the movies downfall. That being said, Anne Hathway as Catwoman was great, the acting was all around good, and so was the action. It's just the plot sucks. It got interesting until Bane took control of the city. It felt really out of place for Batman. My rating: 6/10.
  19. Fixed it for you, Flare.
  20. "Eh, not really. I've been asked to do worse." Karie rubs her eyes sleepily. It was too early for this stuff. The antics last night had her all around the city. Darn shame it came with nothing getting done. "My only question left is where would you recommend we start? It would be good to know the location of the attack."
  21. I was looking at the price of grand potions. I'll fix that shortly.
  22. Karie crosses her arms. "No, Grady, I'm calling you incredibly suspicious. If three men walk into a room, and only one walks out alive, who would you consider the suspect at first? The murders could have happened any number of ways, sir, just like the incident at hand, but the only way to figure it out is to find out the basic facts." Karie giggles as names are being read of the list. "No, please, continue! Humour me, I'm curious as to the others you were considering, since I beat out their charisma by tenfold, and in a position like this, where merchandise is on the line, trust me, you want that sneaky bitch who's got a grin on her face and a plan to go with every situation." Tossing her dagger up and down, she turns her attention to Henry. "I came here to get a job done, sir. Do you want it done by professionals, or not?"
  23. "Hmmm. When did Grady return? I find it a little sus that one man escapes from a group of bandits and claims that a rival house is responsible for the attack. No offence to you, milords, it's just I want to ensure all possibilities are looked at."
  24. The Syndicate counts as well. You can put Masson and Octavyn on that list as well! I'd love to see everyone from every major group in their own respective images, but good luck with that. Let's not forget the Academy of Enlightenment! There may be a brief cameo of a certain someone who may or may not have Syndicate ties in the background in 83.
  25. I will follow thy holy words, oh great and might Pie!
