Thanks for the comments, all! :) Sorry about that- due to the aspect ratio I think it wound up being 800X740 or something like that. I can see about resizing it.

My first castle MOC- the Robbers' Cave. I bought the two old Dark Forest men from Bricklink specially for it. Please bear with the poor photography... still learning! :) Comments and advice are welcome! Also nice (and suitable) mixing of old and new gray to get a variating effect.

That is awesome- I was just about to ask what you used for the pillars. They look amazing! Super realistic.

Interesting build. The olive green is distinctive, and nice use of the dome on top.
-
I like it! Nice simple design.
-
Terrific MOC- so much detail! I really like the castle floor and the wine merchant.
-
Ah too bad. The Wrong Trousers is a great Wallace & Gromit short film. A very similar scene occurs in the film.

In that case, it's well done for what you have! :)

Nice! Now that wouldn't have been inspired by The Wrong Trousers, would it? :)

Legends of Chima-Overall Thoughts

I'm not a big fan of anthromorphism anyway, so my impressions are not the greatest. But really then I suppose it's meant to appeal to children more than AFOL's. -
Terrific representation of the lava flow- it really looks like it's moving. The eagle is great too. CallMePie- hilarious avatar. Lol! :)

Hi, I first tried to register to Eurobricks using my preferred username cortman. I was able (I believe) to activate the account but henceforth whenever trying to log in, I get a message that I am banned/not allowed to access the forums. So I created this account, el_cortman, and that went through fine. I would like to request that my el_cortman account be renamed cortman, and that the original cortman account be shut down. I can provide passwords/associated email address for the both accounts via PM. I'm unaware of the forum policy on name change, if I have requested something amiss, apologies. Thanks!

I really like the strings/webs all around- definitely evokes the atmosphere from the film!

^ Nice avatar. :) I won't be army building as my LOTR sets are all for my collection rather than MOCs. But hey, maybe I'll bricklink enough parts/figs to start doing LOTR mocs. I am currently working on a castle MOC featuring the forestmen/bandits, so I'm looking for cheap ways to build up a bunch of them... They're kind of expensive any more.

I love this MOC! The only thing I'd do different is make the ship a little less stubby. The water and the shore is fantastic though!

Bought 2 Dark Forest minifigures and a bunch of bricks on Bricklink for my upcoming MOC. I'm finding Bricklink to be dangerously addicting... :)

This looks fantastic! I'm in the process of supporting. The design is really great. I can't think of anything I'd change. On the plus side it doesn't appear to require any new parts, so you stand a way better chance of succeeding.

I like it- it's complex, much like the passages/ladders/catwalks were underneath Isengard. I wonder too how many Orc Forge sets you went through! (It's next on my list to buy).

Nice MOC! I like the mountain in the back, and the battle scene is really good!

I can't tell if I'd like them or not because I can't understand most of your post. What is "Ongsloth"? May want to run your stuff through a spell checker before posting. I like some of the ideas that people are giving, but everyone's being WAY too optimistic on the minifigs IMO- my guess is we won't see near the number or variety people are predicting.

[MOC] the Hobbit: Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire

Really impressive! The angle and size of the tree and the eagle are done really, really well! -
Welcome! I'm recently come back from my dark ages myself. My advice for buying LEGO (and you have some pretty expensive sets in your crosshairs) is to watch sales, and especially browse eBay. While there are scalpers out there demanding ridiculous prices for some sets, the genuine deal can be found, and probably more regularly than almost anywhere else. Bricklink is another great resource. It's not hard to find some sets for 20% off retail or more. Watch sales at your local stores too. Good luck!
