  1. In a members only thread on 1000steine someone posted he has the new 2007 catalog. Unfortunately he doesn't have scans. Their site admin confirmed the catalog. What's in it: 12 pages of City stuff (yay) with Garbage Truck EUR 14.99 Cement Mixer EUR 14.99 Gas Station EUR 35.99 (no mentioning if licensed, like Shell or anything) Container Transport EUR 16.99 Harbor EUR 79.99 (this seems to be big: harbor, crane, truck, container ship, containers). The containers are new ones (again :-|), they are 10x6x5 studs. Spongebob 3825 (EUR 24.99), 3826 (EUR 36.99) and 3827 (EUR 57.99) No new Space or Castle. That's all that was mentioned. UPDATE by Yoda: I added here the link provided by Hobbes for simplicity !! Keep an eye on this link: Catalog 2007
  2. Yeah, that seems to be the swedish version of the guillotine, the guillosquash. Messy, but effective nonetheless ;-)
  3. Yes, I know that white baseplates exist. In the christmas town it just looks like bricks to me ;-)
  4. What hurts this presentation is the red background. I think it wouldn't look that bad (emphasis on bad) on a lighter background. Looks very randomly put together but I'm not going to critisize the building technique cos a spaceship MOC by me would probably look very similar... Corrected.
  5. No. SES all the way (it seems I've voted already although I can't remember). BSB looks "cute" with its color scheme and it makes a nice "toy boat", but as a pirate (or any sailing) ship the SES looks a lot better (and I know 'cos I happen to own one).
  6. How exactly do you order "10+"? Can you put "10+" in your cart? How many do you get then? 11? 19? ;-)
  7. Warning for "showing off". Because that's what this is. And no, that's not what everybody else does. People share information if they have it. If they can't share it, they don't tell anything. Pretty simple. What's "I have top secret info but can't tell" in regards to contribution to the forums? Except you getting a kick out of it? So keep your top secret info until you can share it. If you can't share, be quiet.
  8. Oh, I always thought mecha were roboty sort of things... ;-)
  9. I know white baseplates exist(ed), in this picture they still look like bricks to me ;-)
  10. Interesting... for most sets (for my country, and not many SW at that) it's the first time in a long time that 1 Dollar equals 1 Euro. Since I don't buy SW it's a positive surprise ;-)
  11. Don't just talk - show...
  12. Lovely scenery! I think those are bricks...
  13. You mean the driftwood?
  14. Nah, we just spend our money well ;-)
  15. After my wife bought a 6375 on ebay last week, I did the same and bought another 6375 and a 483 *sweet*
  16. B-T-03C I just found this browsing brickshelf and thought it's worth posting (pic = link): I'm not that a huge fan of old train stations but this one's just one stunning MOC 8-
  17. TLC does have the power to shut EB down. Not only that, they could sue the owner (i.e. jipay), too, or drown him in so much bureaucracy that he'd give up sooner or later. Forget about the "anonymous internet", it isn't anonymous. When you're a small group that doesn't bother you, you just start anew. jipay is rebel enough he didn't care in the beginning. But once EB grew to a certain size and was a known source for (any sort of) information he had to make a decision where to go with EB. And he made it. We have to accept that. We'll never know where EB would be if he had chosen differently. But maybe it wouldn't be here anymore at all. And this is not just meeting trouble halfway, those were real decisions that had to be taken, even if it's still "just a platform to share a hobby"...
  18. Nope, that's not it. I don't know if there actually is a meaning behind it. Right now I'm guessing it's simply a CSS error because there's other things (legend titles and the like) that turn up colored or bolded where they shouldn't. Just ignore it. Colors do specify member groups, the bold font doesn't say anything as far as I know now ;-)
  19. Hey, I don't mind Wikipedia, I like it. I just found it funny that SW4J mentioned (jokingly or not) that to him Wikipedia isn't a reliable source for information and then starts a thread that ends in tons of Wikipedia links :-)
  20. I don't know what all the fuss is about. May I quote from the opening post: Savvy? ;-)
  21. Lotsa Wikipedia links here, ain't there? ;-)
