    As stated before, the year a set is released does not dictate the order of retirement. Demand does. Look up the Death Star and UCS b-wing if you believe your theory to be true, ChrisO

    It doesn't matter how long since a product was release. It's all about demand for the product. A very good example of early retirement would be the UCS b-wing. Lasted less than 18 months, already went on sale 50% off before the anniversary it was released.

    I thought about putting the UCS Tie next to the UCS x-wing but so far everything UCS is minifigure scaled. Not to be too detailed but wouldn't it be somewhat off since the xwing is not minifigure scaled?

    I would agree because it makes sense but disagree on your theory based on the fact that they did unveil the slave 1 ready for purchase after the holidays.

    No they haven't but the past does not equal the future. All we can do is speculate but what I can say was back in 2012, this exact situation was happening to the GE. Stock was very low and I had to place a back order on the set. Didn't ship till a month later (December). Fast forward two years later and it is still on the page with retirement written all over it. At the end of the day, it's better safe than sorry to buy now but TLG is probably showing low stock because they want to push the demand for it.

    While I have no evidence to disagree with this notion, I only hope that you are wrong. I love the little things like this and it would be a shame to pay secondary prices for them!

    I just placed an order for town hall via local stores around my city. I did it for the sake of completing the modular line. Can someone enlighten me with their own words why this set is worth purchasing besides piece count?

    More than likely, no. Maybe and only MAYBE a variant when the next guardians movie

    Well regardless of the movie, they still made the figure in a poly bag form so we should be seeing it soon.
