General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

What? 7 x normal wardrobe and no skeleton. Why not? -
Hi, I saw your awesome dioramas and I get a new idea. And I think why not. -> What are you thinking about a new LSW diorama line. In every wave one excellente AFOL diorama (that would be two dioramas in one year, understood?). Including OT-dioramas and Prequel-trilogie-dioramas (maybe Death-Star, Endor, Dagobarth, Bespin... what ever). And these dioramas show us scenes from the movies (maybe the Final Duel or the Bespin-scene with "I am your father!" Or Palpatines office inluding Mace Windu, that would be a wonderful diorama. I mean no playsets. I mean really dioramas. I think a new diorama linie would be really GREATE!

Hi, this is a very beauty tavern. Many details, good structure and a beauty lady. Top! We want see more.
-
For me personally would be a small german-subtheme (Germania) very interesting. Including with a german village (no bigger as the LEGO Castle Marketplace), the Limes (Grenzwall) (like the 6062 Battering Ram), the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest and a roman castra.
-
Very good work! Your IG-88 version is the best I have ever seen.
-
Thanks, yes, to create this scene one shade darker is a good idea. hmmm..., you have right. It look like a marionette show. What I need now are small lamps for the 1x1 yellow trans plates. I'm happy that my first MOC here have found so a good feedback. My next MOC coming soon.
-
That is amazing! What a fantastic MOC. Including with very beauty details (likewise the waiting zone with C-3PO and R2D2) and your very good technic style is the Star Tours Starspeeder very realistic.
-
This year have LOTR (The Fellowship of the Ring, 2001) the 10 anniversary and it is one year before The Hobbit. The next Tolkien-hipe will not be longer than maybe 2014. If not now produce, when? J.R.R. Tolkiens Middle-earth is to big. LEGO can't create and produce all the peoples and locations. But if LEGO want the biggest possible buisness (I mean to produce the maximum what is possible in this time), than they must start now (this year, 2011)!
-
Thanks, yes, you are right, but let me tell you that is a fault in the film. I've corrected the scene for Eurobricks. Maybe George Lucas will see my correction and will repair the filmscene. So George Lucas if you read this, I want to say to you: Your film is very great and it is a pleasure to help you.

Thank's for the first comment's! If you click at the pictures, than they will be bigger. Greetings from Germany, Elander EDIT: Thank's @ KielDaMan How you have done this?

Hi folk's, here I present you my first Star Wars MOC for Euro Bricks. It show us the fight between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I hope the picture-upload had worked. HAVE FUN! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Darth Vader: I've been waiting for you, Obi-wan. We meet again at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now I am the master. Obi-Wan: Only a master of evil, Darth. Darth Vader: Your powers are weak, old man. Obi-Wan: You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Video on YouTube -front: -window: -Obi-Wan Kenobi: -Darth Vader: -right: -top view: Original thumbnail pics: Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?
Elander replied to Dollar Bill's topic in LEGO Licensed
...Sauron the Necromancer in LEGO-style would be just amazing. ->Maybe like in a very small bionicle-version with long capes. And Radagast the Brown would be a very beauty collectable minifigure. -
Impressive! Can you with this program create transparent/blue horses. I mean: Can you give the LEGO-horses a transparen/blue colour? -If yes, than you could create the action-scene at the Ford of Bruinen. I see Frodo, Arwen/Glorfindel and the Nazguls do you have. What you need are some rocks, small blue/transparent bricks and the blue/transparent waterhorses. That would be awesome if you could do this. Sticker-question: Is it with this program possible to design stickers? -Or is it possible pictures from other programs to take in this program (as a sticker-motive)? It would be amazing if it is possible to design and create the Gate of Moria with a in dark (moonlight) shining sticker! LED-question: Gandalf have a in dark shining wand. Is it possible Gandalf to give a LED lightup-function like Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi (see LEGO lightsaber duel-set). Ok, the problem is LEGO have never produced a wand were the tip is shining, but with the LED-lightsabers would it be possible to hint this possibility. -ok, I think it would be easier to create the Witchking with the Flamesword. Here we would not have a sword, but with the LED-lightsaber it could be a better hint. I am very excitedly of your next shots. I like the picture with the white nazguls and the transparent/invisible Frodo-minifigure. I dont no if the nazgules must be green/transparent. The King of Death and the Army of Death is green/white transparent in shining colours. The print and the material for the King of Death must be very special. I belive every LEGO-Designer would it love to design his body. -the FireWorkDragon from "A Long Expected Party" in red/orange transparent colours must not be perfekt. That must just be a hint. With the Fireworkdragon would be the set "A Long Expected Party" complete. Greetings, Elander
-
Hi, :) the sets are all really very beauty and are designed very well. I give you some tips for the minifigures. The Wheatertop: If you have white torsos, legs and a white head in this programm -than you can build maybe white Nazguls with golden crowns. Ok they would not have a face and no details, but i think that would not be so a problem. Balins Tomb: Goblins are smaller as orcs. I would give this goblins short legs (like dwarfs or hobbits). For next scenes/locations: -Orcs and uruk-hais would to get long legs (like elves or men)! -A Long Expected Party (small): Do you have red/orange transpared bricks? If yes -than you could to hint (imply) us the fireworkdragon. The fireworkdragon must not be good. It would be just a hint. Now i to wait eagerly on the next sets. Very beauty work. Really! Greetings, Elander

Cool, my wish comes true! All the new sets sounds good! I hope the London-set give us two civilians with periwigs and soldiers with bayonets for the guns. TLG, if you really want. If you really serious want. Than will be this theme to go like a bomb! You must to integrate well appointed Exclusive-Sets in this theme (for example like the style from the city-houses as governor-mension with some aristocrats). Here you can really win the elderly. Now it is your chance! Visit Disneyworld, drive the PotC-ride to see this world and give us some from this locations. Give this sets a small recall value. The people will to grin and say: "hey, here, do you remember the scene were in the village the men was waterspitting pulled out of the well?" So many people have seen this scenes. And they will remember. Connect small ride-scenes with the movie-scenes and you give this sets a double recall value! Phu.... so much possibilities. You can't fail. I hope we will see the dog with the key. I love that dog. -
Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?
Elander replied to Dollar Bill's topic in LEGO Licensed
In module-style like 6062 Battering Ram or 6059 Knights Stronghold. The Orthanc Tower for example would give it in two versions. As Playset like 7093 Skeleton Tower and as UCS Set. -
Dracula's Castle ("The Master's Call")

I am totally impressed. Your MOC is fantastic and horrorfying. The picture with the lady over the fireplace is amazing. Best Dracula Moc I've ever seen! -
Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?
Elander replied to Dollar Bill's topic in LEGO Licensed
I see no comparison between LEGO orcs and these orcs. Likewise the dwarves. Just to see these characters in LEGO-style must be awesome. And where are the LEGO-fantasy elements (bricks)? For example different exquisitely-turned stonecolumns for the dwarf-halls (like trees or just columns with dwarfsymbols). The orcs or trolls would have for example animalcolumns (maybe snakes or dragons). I to mean LEGO bricks in fantasy-style. For the different characters (peoples) on-topic arches, windows, tapestries, statuary, roofing tiles... and and and. In dark lighted symbols or whole bricks. It must be awesome if you have these well-fitting LEGO elements to build your own tree house (like Lothlorien with shining steps and white windig roofs). I fail to see why LEGO have never produced a reasonable commercial fantasy-line. -
Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?
Elander replied to Dollar Bill's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes, I believe. I believe in October 2012 (two months before the first Hobbit movie) we will see the first LEGO Hobbit sets in some stores. Next year (2013) between the two movies maybe the first Lord of the Rings set. After the Hobbit movies we will have for a while the next break. After the the break (maybe 5 or maybe 15 years) come The Children of Hurin in the cinemas. And here we will see the most spectacularly locations in Tolkiens world. Connected with "The Children of Hurin" will Hollywood show us the next moneymakers. "The Beginning of Arda and the Return of the Noldor", "Beren and Luthien", "Nirnaeth Arnoediad", "The Fall of Gondolin", "Earendil and the War of Wrath". Tolkiens Silmarillion with the impressive Elve citys and Dwarf Kingdoms, Balrog- and Dragonarmies will be LEGOs next Star Wars. Yes, and I believe the Classic Castle Theme will never die. Like Star Wars and Space Police or Mars Mission will LEGO produce Classic Castle and Tolkien in the same time. One day we will have some LEGO Tolkien plus Classic Castle sets in a store in our neighborhood. Greetings, Elander -
WOW! Thanks! I have listed your ideas in my first Post. Some ideas are really great. At the time we have 48 LEGO Harry Potter Set-ideas. I'm happy if you describe your set-idea with some details (like @ MrCustomizer). What do you think? Is the "Harry Potter Chess" idea ready for the "Hall of Fame"? Greetings, Elander

Hi, I've started to list all armys and characters in the 4.2 Minifigure-collection. The first chapter is "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings". I think this listening give us a better overview concerning armys and minifigures. I know, no everybody of you like fantasy. But I hope the others have fun and to get some good new inspirations for new mocs. And maybe is this idea-collection a good foundation for a great Tolkien theme starting winter 2012 (when the first Hobbit movie comes in the cinemas). And don't forget: Hollywood have great interest concerning the film rights for the Children of Hurin. I believe we will see next year some forestman sets (like Robin Hood). This theme would with the actually castle theme to match very well. No big line, just three or four sets. One big set (maybe two trees with treehouses), one middle (for example a ambush set with horse carriage and a tree with two hidden forestmans) and one or two small sets. I think the best time for this theme is now. Many people would like this. And I think, I too.

350 sets! At the time I'm working on the "3.2.6 War of the Dwarves and Orcs". I believe I'm with the chapters "3.2.6.1 Battle of Azanulbizar" and "3.2.6.2 Sacking of Gundabad" finished. I'm glad, it's working. Tolkiens world is bigger as I thought. But one day I will have Tolkiens world complete transform in LEGO set ideas. Why I do it? Because I want to show you what here in this world is possible. And we see that the possibilities are endless. So, and now have fun and maybe you want to transform one from this ideas. Cheers! Yes! And so must LEGO implement Port Royal! With modular-sets (the blacksmith, the dock, the prison .... (see "LEGO City houses modular-style). Rome was not built in a day too. Please not like Harry Potter Castle and "boom" -> One set, and that it was. I repeat: I hope for many smaller modular-sets. One set is very expensive. To expensive for many people. Come-on LEGO: Win the parents and children with many smaller modular-sets. ;) -

I hope for an islander-village with many new coloured Insulaner-Minifigs. -> Jocularly in addition Jack Sparrow would be (painted) on spit. ^^ As an Action-Playset (so I call it) there would be the rolling cage (where itself William Turner and the rest consider). That cage would be a hang roll down. As a pursuer there would be in addition other islanders.
