There is a lunar eclipse happening tonight. That's the whole reason we're doing the tour today! I know that and I'm just the security guard. You're right though, people do tend to act funny during eclipses. But if we all stay calm and stick together, everything should be fine. Note to self: Redhead has no respect for authority and seems easily distracted.

Red Moon Confirmation & Discussion thread

Yeah, same thing here. The security check was over before I was even caught up. -
My apologies for taking so long with the security check. There were an alarming number of knifes that needed to be confiscated. As it states in the pamphlet, there are no weapons allowed on this tour. I have padlocked all of the knifes away in the weapons locker in the luggage compartment of the bus where they will stay for the duration of the tour. I have the only key to the weapons locker so you needn't worry. Knives would do you very little good on Devil's Island. There are jaguars there that would eviscerate you before you could so much as swipe them with a knife. Not that you need to worry about them. That's why I always carry this, *Holds up tranquilzer gun* Guns, that's where real security lies. I'll let you keep it, but I ask that you don't use it on any of your fellow tour members (not even your husband). You will get your knife back after the tour is over.

I'm Fred Thomas. I am the security guard assigned to this tour group. I will make sure things stay safe as y'all visit the Fancy Dabbles ruins or whatever they're called. Wake me up when we get there. -
Go Rock Monsters! I liked the trailer. Looking forward to the finished product.

Short and fun! Not your typical brickflick either; I liked it.

Yes! I definitely want in on this. I'm not big on Mafia games, but I loves me a good mystery! I hope there are deathtraps and/or Cthulhuian tentacles. Is there any way I can bribe you into getting a slot? Oh, did I type that out loud? Oops! Well even if I don't get in, I will play along at home. Looking forward to it!

I have built a quite a few buildings for New Block City in nanoscale. I am slowly working on taking the buildings I design in nanoscale and converting them to microscale and vice versa. Thus I recently finished the Blue Bank Building so I could put it in the background of one scene in my new animation. Here's a comparison shot with the original nanoscale And here's a close up of hte entrance detailing Hope you like it!

Some of you may remember an Octopus Machine I posted here a while back. It has evolved into a playground. How did it get from one to the other? You'll have to watch my latest animation to find out. I used mostly the same piece, but I had to add in a few here and there. SO it's not entirely an alternate model, but it definitely is in that spirit.

Hey there! I think this is only my second topic here in the Bionicle forum. Most of my creations fall into "other" town or space. This one started out as other, but as it evolved it has taken on more and more Bionicle elements. I completed this so I could stick it in the background of one scene of my latest animation. It's barely noticeable, but in a future episode it's going to be prominently featured. Without further ado I present Helios the Flammable: Here's a little backstory I made for her. "Back at the dawn of time, Helios was trapped inside the Figurian Sky after an epic battle with Zundar Silverspine. Ever since, she has begrudgingly provide Figuria with light and warmth." I stole much of the leg design from Tuma. And here's a shot of the back so you can see how the flames are held on. Hope you like it! Here's the whole photo gallery.

This is great! Very striking. I'd love to see this expanded. It would make a great head on an even larger bird.

I have mine displayed on the window ledge in my kitchen. I made a few minor adjustments

A Challenge to you Brick Flickers
fallentomato replied to Hovertron's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Yeah, I'm a big fan of Grayson and had thought several times before of making it in Lego and possibly even expanding it in to a longer movie. But I have too many of my own projects to work on already... I'd love to see someone else do this though -
Sorry this video is so delayed (I was hoping to finish it in Octboer), my life has been crazy the past couple months. I'm glad to have finally finished this up though. We're getting close to the end of the first episode... only one more major cast member to introduce (Zundar Silverspine - Weatherdragon Extraordinaire). Hope you enjoy it. I'll hope to post some of the MOCs from this on the weekend.

Hehehe You did a great job with the sound effects and music. I love the way all the characters grunt and laugh and exclaim. As someone else pointed out, if you added in more frames per second you could get smoother animation, but I think this was relatively smooth considering the low frame rate. I thought you did a very good job with the lighting too. Keep up the great work!

REVIEW: Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub
fallentomato replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I just picked up this set on my way home today. I wasn't convinced of the color scheme until I saw it in person. This is a really great set, and it has got me excited about the whole line. It feels like the true return to Aquazone (the 2007 Aquaraiders felt more like Divers 2.0 than Aquazone to me - still great though ). I couldn't figure out how the proppelor flipping mechanism worked until I came here and looked at your review and then saw my mistake. Now that I figure it out, I agree, it's very satisfying. I kept flipping back and forth. This is the first set in quite a while that I really want to play with the way I did when I was a kid. Also the shark-man is awesome. I want a whole army of them. Thanks for the review! -
Fabuland Housewives Season II Premiere
fallentomato replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Warning- I'm not going to bother with the spoiler bars below, if you haven't watched the episode yet, go do that now! Wohoo! Glad to see this starting up again. I'm looking forward to being able to reading along in real-time this season. I too had trouble remember some of the characters, maybe I should go back and re-read season 1. I loled at the rapidly aging children - "It's not my place" "It was last time" - " I don't think you have the right body" - "Knock you all the way to Paradisa" I was glad that Lila died and not Gavin or Gregor They are still my favorite couple (and if you do anything to them you'll have to answer to me ). Also, I was having trouble keeping track of all the lambs, so that helps. Other thoughts - Carly is a manipulative female canine and I predict Hadyn has got the hots for Payton. But maybe that's just me seeing homoerotic subtext everywhere. Keep up the great work! -
MOC: The Twortise and the Spider
fallentomato replied to fallentomato's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes, perhaps I should have explained that better. The Twortise is supposed to be a two-sided turtle/tortise. One half is robotic and the other half is fiery. It's hard to make out, but I tried to create a shell shaped body. The heads are a little weird though. -
A couple years ago I picked up the UCS Batmobile for 50% off. I didn't have much interest in building the actual model, but I used the pieces to build some alternate models. I first rounded up all the pieces that were not grey or black and tried to see how colorful I could make something from a set that was mostly monotone. The result was the Twortise Half-Fire... Half- Machine... 100% Awesome. It even has two tails Then I looked at the remaining pieces and knew that the 4x4 dishes with the Batman insignia had to be the eyes. I first made a really creepy Pogo Bat thing but my friends told me that was too creepy, so that eventually evolved into a spider. I'm really proud of the face. Both together: These have been sitting around on my shelf for acouple years now collecting dust. I thought it was time I photographed them. Those dark red curved slopes on the Twortise are looking mighty appealing after all...

These sound really cool! I like the idea of a whole microscale train layout. May have to do something with that. I mean... I'm not stealing MOC ideas from your dreams. What are you talking about? I had another lego dream recently, though this time I was buying a set that actually exists (Medieval Market Village). Not so exciting, but still pretty awesome.

Not sure if anyone else had heard about this, but it sounds like it could be interesting. http://www.variety.com/article/VR111801030...yid=14&cs=1

Yes, I have both, but my Mac is better.

How many Brick Separators do you own?
fallentomato replied to Big Cam's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hahaha That'd be a big keychain, but a very useful one. I think I have 5, though I may have more, all of them are grey. I don't know if i ever bought any on my own, maybe the first one. But as I absorbed my friends' lego collections I picked up more. I got a bunch of Mindstorms school kits from my friend's step-dad and there were at least 3 or 4 with that. That being said, at least one of them has gotten worn down from being over used and the other ones tend to migrate all over my apartment, so I wouldn't mind having more, especially if they were a cool color -
As for the height issue, it depends on the character. If it makes sense for them to wear a dress/skirt/apron/robe, then I'll give them the big slope, but if they need to be shorter I might use a combination of plates and a plain slope bricks to achieve the effect. I tend to prefer pants for my characters, but sometimes you've got no choice. All this talk about dresses reminded me of a custom one I painted a while back and never posted pics of. I just put it up in the Minifig Customization Forum.

Sandy's thread about dresses reminded me of this simple custom I did a while back.
