Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion
Bob replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Day Two is now up. Thanks for playing KingOfTheZempk, Dragonator, and AwesomeStar. -
It was late at night on the U.E.N. Excalibur. Or, at least, the crew was told it was night. Not everyone was in bed it seems. Doctor Julius Burbank / Dragonator is working hard and not hardly working in his laboratory late at night when he should be asleep. Perhaps it would have served him better to get a full nights rest... "Oh, seriously?" he asked. "I'm finally able to play mafia games again and I'm killed off on Night One? megablocking metagamers." *BANG* "What's with the old school bang gun?" the killer asked. "And the blood? That's not very spacey." Shut up. It's just to prove he died. "Whatever. Dick." the killer said. Elsewhere, Ensign Jason Falcon / Scouty was walking around the rec-room returning to his quarters after a quick bathroom break. "Dammit! I thought I'd last longer!" Falcon said. Oops, sorry. Wrong minifigure. Lieutenant Joshua Wright / AwesomeStar was walking around the rec-room returning to his quarters after a quick bathroom break. "Did you make a mistake with me, too?" he asked. "No. He was spot-on with this one." the killer said. *BUZZZZZZZZZZ* The Lieutenant burst apart and went flying around the room. "Oops! I had the setting on too high." The Fleet Admiral then summoned everyone to the Rec Room. "You guys were awful with all of your choices. Robbins (KingOfTheZempk), Wright (AwesomeStar), and Burbank (Dragonator) were all Loyalists. I hope you'll do better today." Hey jerk, the day's over.

A crowd of his fellow angry shippies gathered around him. "I'm innocent!" Ensign Robbins yelled. "You've chosen Ensign Robbins. He shall be taken away for interrogation." the Fleet Admiral said. The security detail led the janitor out of the rec room and away from the rest of the group. Later, the rest of the crew decided to get plastered. Lieutenant Jones took advantage of Ensign Falcon's fear of rabbits and chased him around with a bunny hat. Suzanne hoped that the alcohol would remove Richard's inhibitions and finally give her a chance to win him over. She was also carrying a banana for some reason. However, as soon as they all went to bed, dark sinister people were out and about. Doing dark sinister things. Sinisterly. And darkly. Note of Change: From now on, the day will last the full 72 hours no matter what. This topic may now be locked.

Suzanne and Richard were carrying the body of Captain McTague out of the room. "Where are we supposed to put his body?" Suzanne asked. "Put it somewhere cold, so it can be preserved." Doctor Burbank ordered. "Ok!" "I have a bad feeling about this..." First Officer Walters said. A few people discussed the matters at hand at a table while Ensign Robbins rolled around on the floor. "Don't kill meee!" he sobbed. "Who's going to operate the PowerWasher 6000?!" "Donna? Are you okay?" Chief Engineer Wilder asked. "She hasn't spoken up all day." Michelle said. "Oh." There's still around 36 hours left in the day. Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion
Bob replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oops. Could a moderator/admin add "Excalibur" - Day One into the topic title? Anyway, it's up. -
Captain Ross McTague lay bruised and bloodied and quite dead on the table in the main rec room. Fleet Admiral Bob stepped through the crowd. "Alright you scummy scummers straight from scummy town. We received a message from this ship from the killers. They're members of these League Of Purists, and they say more will die unless we cancel the mission." He paused I, however, am not one for quitting. Since I can't trust any of you, I've brought my own team in to fly the ship. The bridge is off-limits to all of you without one of my staff there. He paused again. Each day I'm ordering you to vote off whoever you think is a member of this cult. I've given a few of you special abilities to help you out." "We depart from Earth in few moments, are there any questions?" "Why do you wear green?" "Shush." Excalibur -- Confirmation and Discussion
Bob replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Looks like everyone has confirmed. Tomorrow I should post Day One. Until then feel free to continue to roleplay here in thread. But as soon as Day One goes up there shouldn't be anymore roleplaying. I like the enthusiasm that I see. -

In the meantime, don't riot or protest. Please let me know of any issues, if you didn't get a role PM or anything similar or to the like. Thank you. To those who didn't make it, I'm sorry, but that's why I closed the signups, so more people wouldn't be disappointed when they didn't make it.

Since I don't want to upset anymore people since we've got more than enough players, signups are now closed. This can please get locked.

Fugazi gets all 23 sign ups with that one answer. Congratulations.

Where the heck did you come from? You haven't been on the Mafia/Mystery Games forums in a super long time.

The U.E.N. (United Earth Navy) Excalibur is the pride of the United Earth, a federation of nations on the planet of Earth. The United Earth stemmed from the United Nations, an old committee of sorts where the nations of the world held meetings and discussed various issues. In the late 2020’s, most war and other conflicts by and large ended, bringing about the end of tyrants and dictators in the world. Eventually, following the Great Unification of 2059, in which the amount of countries in the world slipped down to ten, the world was able to unite closer, and get past their differences. In 2064, the United Earth was founded, a loose organization of the remaining eleven nations. The nations were: Great Britain, Russia, China, the European Union, the United States of America, the South American United Nations, Africa, Canada, Japan, India, and Australia. Much of Asia and the Middle East were taken over by Russia and China. Most of the countries in the pacific were absorbed into Australia, Africa was the entire African continent, and the South American United Nations, or SAUN, was composed of all the nations south of the United States. It was clear that the three superpowers of the United Earth were the U.S., China, and Russia, and as a result it was up to them to maintain peace throughout the world. Prosperity for the new United Earth reigned, and slowly the federation began to tighten. With new laws and legislation being passed at the now global level, the literacy rate and the infrastructures of the world improved drastically. Poverty began to drop dramatically. The global laws were made by the United Earth Council; a member of each nation was chosen to represent their country. This served as the Executive Branch in the Government. The World Court of course stayed in Geneva and served as the judicial branch of government. For once the world was totally at peace with itself. In 2079, humanity turned to the stars once again, and slowly began a space program. A larger version of the International Space Station was launched, as was a small lunar base and an expedition to establish a base on Mars. Slowly but surely, as time progressed, the United Earth launched their first space navy vessels, designed for defense on the off chance of danger and also a few designed for exploration. Plans for the first large vessel began in 2120. In 2140, the U.E.N. Excalibur was launched under the command of Captain Ross McTague, and sent out to explore past the known solar system. However, there are those that ardently oppose the exploration past the solar system, and wish for mankind to remain where it is. After all, if we were meant for space and worlds other than ours, we’d be able to survive there without special tools. The movement grew in influence, but remained a small fraction of people on Earth. Our story takes place in 2141, onboard the U.E.N. Excalibur during one of its first missions... ~~~~~~~ I'm looking for 23 eager and willing players that aren't afraid to blast off to the stars and serve their planet. Please answer these questions: 1) Mafia History (of course) 2) What is space (in your own words) 3) What is 2 + 2? If you can answer these to my satisfaction then you'll be in the pool of potential candidates. And yes, I'm aware of the obvious stereotypes in the "signing" picture. I was inspired by for some reason.

I'm not sure why everyone's hating on the new Palpatine's Arrest. This is one of the few Prequel sets that has gotten my interest mostly because of the non-CW faces for the Jedi. I'll likely get it and add more walls and maybe make it larger. It's a playset of course, not meant to be displayed but meant to be played in.
-
Yeah, everything I have from the 80's is older than me. It's funny when I look at an old pirate minifigure and think "that's been around longer than I have."
-
Nice improvement, did you design them smaller so they'd specifically fit in the new palace, or is that just how it happened?
-
I think losing Shadows was the biggest blow to me, mostly because I relied on his observations because usually my feelings are either wrong or stupid. My erratic behaviour change on Day One attracted so much odd attention and reflecting I see why. I went from odd slapstick actions to a sudden let's get down to business stance rather quickly. I don't know why MetroiD insisted I was scum even over the course of several days. Cecile was among those I was curious of, specifically of her willingness to follow MetroiD and also follow Rick, who was in addition scum. I'm not sure why I didn't say anything and that was certainly a mistake. It is time I stepped up my game, but I do read the game threads. I'll admit occasionally that there's times when I could read things closer, but it's disappointing to me when I completely misread something and end up doing something completely wrong. I don't really think that I've complained about my performance after every game though. I was proud of my final stand at the end of Yakuza, and had no regrets during Baritones III unless I have memory problems and put down that I did. IMHOTEP is a game that I have serious regrets about, mostly because I didn't know what Badboy was doing during Day One and I couldn't grasp all the day one events. I like the whole 12 player set up, however my only regret is that I didn't insert myself with more alliances.
-
megabluck my life. That's all I can say. I don't like reflecting on how I did during the game because most of the time my feelings were wrong and that ultimately costs me.
