  1. Yep, just saw that... SO AWESOME. And here's the teaser: and poster: http://comicbook.com/2016/01/07/marvels-daredevil-season-2-poster-released/
  2. With 3 spider man sets coming this summer, if there's no white tiger minifigure, my head may explode. I really want to complete the original team. Other heroes I'd like in those sets are, agent venom, cloak and dagger and spider man 2099. As for villians, mysterio, lizard (comic version), vulture, shocker and electro (classic). I too would not mind waiting for 2017 for kraven as long as they don't make him look too different in the movie ala electro.
  3. Daredevil season 2 release to come march 25. Same day as batman v superman. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/marvels-daredevil-season-2-to-premiere-on-same-day/1100-6433509/
  4. This is exactly the problem I have is that they gave huge build up for a character that is, as you say, a stormtrooper commander with cool armor. She has almost no baring on the story and that which she does have could easily have been served by many other characters. I'm not even sure that I care what they do with her in future films because to this point she's a throwaway character at best and at worst a distraction from the many wonderful aspects of the film.
  5. That would be awesome... Do you have a link to the article?
  6. I'm not entirely sure Lukas is playing with a full deck anymore... He was thoroughly convinced the world was going to end back in 2012 when the Myan calendar ended. He sold star wars thinking, "what the heck, there's no future anyway." Now he's mouthing off cause he was wrong. It is really sad to see him acting like this. I mean, as a writer, I'd like to think I'd welcome someone continuing a legacy that I'd created.
  7. So maybe it's just 360 that has the issues. Is anybody having issues with any other systems?
  8. While I certainly am not one to ignore the PT, I think saying three of the four other sw films are about blowing up a space station is a wee bit off. A new hope was pretty much about blowing up a space station, yes but IMO episodes VI and VII were about much more. In jedi you have the whole arc about luke, Vader and the emperor. This goes far more to the heart of the film than blowing up the death star does. The redemption of Vader, a mass murderer and luke becoming a true jedi are the central events for me. For TFA, well its far more about Rey finding luke and han confronting kylo ren than the destruction of star killer base. Simply taking the biggest action scene in a movie and saying that's what it's about is a problem many people who don't like action based films have. Good movies and stories of all types are more about character evolution than simply a series of events.
  9. If you don't mind my asking what system are you using? I'm using ps4 and have had no problems with the game. Starscream said he was haveing trouble on the 360. I wonder if it's buggy on the older systems it would be interesting to hear peoples experiences on different platforms. Also is anyone out there playing it on Xbox one, cause I know a lot of games were supper buggy early on with that console to the point of not working at all, but I thought I'd heard that they'd worked those problems out.
  10. There's always the ancient one.. I think that would be better than a damsel in distress, however, considering LEGO history, as you say, it is something LEGO would do.
  11. First official pic of punisher from Daredevil season 2 is out... http://comicbook.com...fficial-look-r/ I really hope he wears the iconic skull tee-shirt at some point! Nightmare please
  12. Not sure what system you have but I have a Wii U started set I don't need... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=118875
  13. Hey, I ended up getting a few things for the holiday that I got twice or can't use. 1: lego dimensions starter set for the Wii U. I've got a ps4 and the person who got it for me is loaded and didn't want to bother me with exchanging it with Amazon so they just ordered the correct one after realizing their mistake. 2: cyborg Lego dimensions funpack 3: gimli Lego dimensions funpack Please pm me if you'd like to negotiate for any of it. I am on the strsight shooters list a ways back if you care to look it up.
  14. I know that the others are lying and I'm the only one that has seen the force awakens... ;)
  15. I thought a marysue was someone who did everything right for no apparent reason
  16. Okay, after seeing the movie Tuesday and wanting to spend a few days reflecting on what I saw, here is my analysis. Did the film borrow from the OT: yes it did, however, when you're making a part VII of any story, that is going to be hard to avoid. I'm glad it borrowed the right things from the OT rather than the wrong things from the prequels. Looking back, i think one of the biggest problems with the prequels (especially Phantom what was George Lukas thinking...) was the effort to be too different. Going back to the original source material was a must. What I think was a bit genius about episode VII was exactly what they borrowed. For me, the film took all the best things from the OT, especially ep IV and V and put them in one package. You have the fun of episode IV, the relief of a major victory, opposed by the sadness of the death of an icon and you have episode V's shocking revelation that the fight is bigger than any one battle as we are left with a hero defeated and seriously injured. You also have a little bit of episode VI added with a character finding redemption after years of brainwashing to save the day. In the end, I think episode VII was a bit of a retooling of Star Wars and kind of covered the entire OT journey while begging a new journey at the end of the film. For me episode VII is the best star wars yet. In response to a few other criticisms from other fans: The idea that Rey is a bit of a mary sue is valid but, we're talking about star wars, the force can do anything: perhaps Rey was acting on instinct, perhaps she knew legends and was desperate enough to try anything. i like the fact that a some of what she does fails when she first tries. The R2D2 randomly waking up thing was not a big deal to me. There are a lot of explanations for that... My idea is Luke had ordered R2 to power down until he could detect a trace of his old light-saber, then Luke could leave the saber in a place strong in the light side of the force where only a force sensitive person, strong in the light side could find it, by being drawn there. As far as Hans fate, I'm glad they are moving forward with new characters and are using the original cast for roles like that of Ben Kenobi with aspects of his influence being split in a way between Han and Luke, separating the Martyr and teacher roles between them. Anyway, I am so looking forward to episode VIII
  17. I saw the movie Tuesday night and answered the poll the next day. i wanted to wait to reply until I could give it more thought though. While i liked the movie a great deal right off and gave it 5 stars and thought it compared best with ROTJ I wanted to reflect on it more. After doing so, my opinion of it has only risen, which is unusual for me as most of the time I think less of movies after further analysis. I have since amended my vote to 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 star level and best yet. My reasoning, without getting too spoilery (I'm going to post in the star wars thread, where I can go deeper in my analysis, as well) is that while the film clearly borrows a lot from the OT, especially episodes IV and V, what it did for me was bring all of those traits together and combine them in one package. Now, I am going to move to the other thread so I can go more in depth...
  18. Love the CA:CW sets, the AA sets are okay and I will probably buy all 5, my only big problems are 3 jets in 5 sets and that stupid look on Thanos' face! Now as far as other sets, it sounds like the CA:CW exclusive is happening but what of the Doc Strange set that Sir Gareth talked about... Any news on that?
  19. Well just2good is the source for that and they have been very reliable on other information. I believe just2good also stated that it was an exclusive so it would not appear in the general retail catalog.
  20. Fox had the film rights but could not make a TV series until marvel got involved. If you click the link I gave it explains that it is a co-production between the two studios
  21. firstly i didn't mean to suggest we would ever get a movie based set, that's impossible... I'm pretty sure fox, like sony has contracts with other toy companies that prevent any official age of apocalypse lego sets. Secondly there have to be a least minimal fox/marvel-disney relations or fox could not be moving forward on it's x-men television projects... http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/10/marvel-teams-with-fox-fx-on-two-new-x-men-tv-series/
  22. So, there's going to be a comic book tied to age of apocalypse... http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/marvels-apocalypse-wars-gives-x-men-fans-a-new-hope And before anyone says I'm posting non Lego news ;) I have a discussion related reason for this. If marvel/fox relations are better and given the timing of the comic tie in they seem to be, maybe we have reason to hope for a summer X-Men set after all! I'd buy just about any set with a decent apocalypse figure in it...
  23. Please yes. I had just about lost hope of this. Another thing I've just about lost hope for is another X-Men set but I wonder what with the apparently improved fox/Disney relationship, what the chances of a summer wave X set are.
  24. Yeah, very true. I think what DC needs to do is to stop worrying about catching up with the MCU and just work on developing their own brands. Marvel wasn't concerned with what DC had done with batman when they started phase one.
