  1. Three more cast in pilot for fx drama Legion, including Dan Stevens in the lead role as Legion (David Haller). http://deadline.com/2016/02/legion-dan-stevens-fx-marvel-x-men-pilot-aubrey-plaza-jean-smart-1201696486/ Can't say I know an awful lot about Stevens... Never been a fan of Downtown Abby.
  2. I for one think we need to stop feeding this obviously fake rumor and get back to discussing other information that hasn't been confirmed by almost all our credible sources to be false.
  3. Wow. Interesting that they're doing this so fast... I expected them to wait for at least a little more content but I guess if they're bridging from the OT they should have plenty. Definitely a must buy for me.
  4. While I agree that kids are more familiar with the Avengers, I think that A: Lego bases its sets on what marvel wants to promote, B: the difference in awareness is due more to the lack of kids entertainment than anything in the movies. Kids first exposure to the teams is through animated shows, long before they are old enough to go to the movies. C: the d2c sets are aimed more at older kids/teens and adults than other sets. These demographics are far more aware of X-Men characters than the target demo of Lego's others products. I think the next d2c marvel set will probably be Avengers or spider man based but I believe this has far more to do with corporate politics than demographics at this point. At the same time I still hope things get better between Disney and fox (as unlikely as that may be) and that we eventually get more x-men. The door opened just a sliver with the recent marvel/fox agreement that allows for to produce some x-men television shows but I still think we're a long ways off from an x-mansion :(
  5. Delroy Lindo to play David Fortune in marvel's most wanted... http://io9.gizmodo.com/a-classic-comic-character-joins-marvels-most-wanted-1755418152 Good to see more cast members added so we can get a clearer picture of where they might be going with the new show. Not sure how they will bring Fortune into the new show but I've liked a what I've seen of Lindo's work. What I'd really like to see from the new show is a slightly edgeier drama with Bobbi and Hunter working more as freelance bounty hunters gig ng their full trust to no one but each other and perhaps even working on outside the law from time to time when absolutely necessary. Lindo's character could provide intel and occasional support. If they work on the edges of legality it could set up for heated cross overs with the M.A.O.S. team as well. Anyway I have high hopes for this show, whatever direction they take it in... I only hope M.A.O.S can keep its momentum without two of its best characters.
  6. So... here's a link to an article about the merchandising rights... http://www.lazygamer.net/entertainment/this-is-why-we-havent-seen-spider-man-in-any-captain-america-civil-war-footage-yet/ taken from the article a comment attributed to Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo: "The reason why I preface that is we’re still kind of in “deal zone”. The reason why we still won’t talk about [the costume] is that Marvel and Sony still have to work out what uses they have for the character, on a promotional level, on a commercial level. There’s still complications as far as that goes that involves business deals." So, as I said, Disney and Sony still have to hammer out the details of the agreement before we will see any images of spider-man from civil war or related merchandise.
  7. As far as the fourth civil war set goes; I read an article recently saying that Marvel and Sony are still ironing out some of the merchandising rights for Spider-man. If indeed spidy is in the set Marvel can't show it until the they dot the T's and cross the I's on the contract with Sony.
  8. Anyone else watch the 2 hour premiere for Agent Carter season 2? I was very impressed with it. It was a vast improvement over season 1 first 2 episodes and I really liked season 1.
  9. So glad to hear we are FINALLY getting white tiger. Spiderman 2099 is also great news.
  10. They're going to have to create a lot of new material... It's going to be interesting to see how they do. I read somewhere that fox is still in negotiation to produce other x-men shows so I wonder if Marvel would only give them rights to certain characters, that's the only reason i could see them choosing Legion... there are so many better/teams. Also
  11. Marvel "very close" to developing a Punisher Series for Netflix... http://io9.gizmodo.com/hallelujah-marvels-adding-the-punisher-to-its-roster-o-1753369108 ...YES PLEASE!!! Now, how about a second season of Jessica Jones...
  12. Ryan Coogler has signed on to direct black panther, http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/herocomplex/la-et-hc-ryan-coogler-confirmed-marvel-black-panther-movie-20160111-story.html Dang. Just when you think marvel can't grab any more talented young directors... Fruitdale Station was great (I grew up near and have been to many of the places it took place including the fabled BART [san Francisco's version of a subway] station btw) and Creed is drawing rave reviews... I didn't think it was possible for me to be more excited about the Black Panther movie but I was wrong!
  13. Yeah, i worry about them adding too much too fast, I mean 2 more shows in 2016 isnt that bad but when you consider they have 2 more shows in development 6 marvel shows on ABC by 2017 or even 18 seems to be a little bit much. One thought I had with all these marvel shows in various stages of production was that maybe the idea of a marvel network that got attention back in may wouldn't be such a bad idea... Realistically though, with the streaming being the trend, if Disney/ABC were going to do something like that I'd think they'd be better off going with something like FOX's FX network and feature a lot of Marvel stuff mixed with a variety of other programming, i mean even with all the shows in development, the animated shows plus a marvel news show to plug movies and comics, you'd still only have 10 programs... Even with the movies airing regularly that's not enough programming to fill a network schedule.
  14. So, apparently not only is ABC developing a second Marvel comedy, http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/01/11/second-marvel-comedy-in-development-at-abc But Paul Lee says Damage Control is 'going to be coming out this season'... I assume he means 2016 considering it hasn't even gone to pilot yet... Perhaps the second comedy would serve as a midseason bridge for Damage Control like Agent Carter has for MAOS... It would seem like a bit much to have 4 marvel shows running on the network during their regular broadcast schedule. much better to have three with 2 airing during the hiatus.
  15. Well, Hydra Fortress Smash is a TRU exclusive so I just figured maybe LEGO had a limited number they were selling through their site due to that but I don't think Ant man was an exclusive so this might be a good question, I certainly hope not!
  16. I'd love a black and red variant minifig for spiderman
  17. Yeah, i agree about the pair being some of the best characters on the show but that is why I think a spin off is a good idea. I want to see more of them and in this case they can shine even brighter. Also, it allows for new characters to grow even more on Agents of SHIELD. Personally I really like the idea that a team of Inhumans is forming. More Inhumans means less room for some of the others and I would hate to see a really great character edged out. When they originally announced they wanted to do a spin-off with Bobbi and Lance in may i thought it was a bad idea, but now that their giving it another season and developing characters like Lincoln and Joey I'm okay with it. Of course only time will tell if MAOS can develop the new characters well enough to keep both shows going but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt... For the moment.
  18. Personally, while i wouldn't mind a Peter Parker minifig, I would rather they use the for someone else. I just don't see us getting a PP fig in a set without spiderman, I mean how likely is it that LEGO are going to have a set where they choose to feature Peter over Spiderman. So, while yes it is a bit redundant, that would be the only way I can see it happening. Therefore it would be a better option IMO is to use the slot for a Spider-verse hero or villain we don't have (and we have listed many) rather than use it on a civilian Peter. I am also still really wanting more X-Men sets and while I know that none are likely this year, I am still holding out hope for future sets. I recently read that Marvel and Fox are negotiating again around the rights to the X-Men. Fox wants to put a third X-Men show into development, probably around more central/popular characters than the Legion and Hellfire shows they already have in the works. So, if Fox/Marvel relations soften even more, maybe we might get some X-Men sets in 2017 and beyond. Heck, if we get really lucky and Marvel regains the rights to the Fantastic Four... We'll that's probably too much to wish for at this point
  19. Saturday, February 13th. And London Toy Fair starts two weeks from today and the Nuremberg Toy Fair a few days after that. Hopefully we can get some more info about the summer sets, even if we don't end up with pictures, during these events.
  20. So it looks like we have some more information regarding what new marvel shows to look forward to in 2016 from ABC http://www.ign.com/a...to-pilot-at-abc Looks like Marvel's Most Wanted is going to pilot while Damage Control and the unnamed ridly Scott (EDIT: Oh darm, don't know how that happened JOHN RIDLEY is who i meant) project appear to be on the back burner.
  21. Something that shocked me about this game is the lack of any builder mode. It seems like lego would be a natural fit for something like the Disney Infinity's toy box builder, I mean it's lego.
  22. This would be really awesome... Out of the whole SMASH team A-Bomb is the one I would want most. For those that have info on it, was it just assumed to be spider man because of the other sets or did you see that it was spider man and not Hulk?
  23. Anyone know if DD has appeared in Ultimate Spider Man. I think that would definitely up the chances of us getting him although Ghost Rider never appeared, I'm honestly really surprised we're getting him... Totally stoked, but surprised.
