REVIEW: 71009 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Simpsons Series 2
Kez replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Awesome review Fang! I can't wait to get all of these and the Kwik-e-mart set to complete my collection. They should look good on my shelve. -
Haha thanks for digging that out, I tried looking for it earlier but gave up looking through my 'recent posts' . At first I thought that Lego could've included him as a minifigure but then in the latter post I realised that it would be easier for them to create a sticker (which with our great predictive minds working collaboratively to decide that Lego would include his appearance in the set in any format has proven to be right ).

Haha just noticed the CMF too, I can't wait to get my hands on these. I love the frozen jasper on the fridge too, this is a detail that I predicted when we first heard the rumours.

Awesome! Thanks for the links guys, I'm in love with this set, looks like a day one purchase, it's just a shame that I can't fund the Helicarrier set (unless someone is willing to donate one to me ).

That looks awesome! Can't wait for better images. I must now sell some of my old Lego in order to fund this beauty of a design.

[MOC] Django Unchained: Dr King Schultz's Dentistry Wagon
Kez posted a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Howdy! I've been meaning to share this little creation with y'all. I was inspired to create this from the critically acclaimed Tarantino film- Django Unchained. This creation was based upon Dr. King Schultz's Dentistry Wagon which is dominant throughout the early parts of the film. I initially submitted this MOC to Lego Ideas however as you can imagine it wasn't so successful at being approved as an 'idea' (guess I should've read the house rules ), still nevertheless I had fun making this. Please feel free to leave a comment, if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Thanks for looking. Thats great news! Thanks for the post Dartk Punk, I very much look forward to seeing images for this theme of sets. The sets themselves sound interesting however the range of minifigures is repetitive because we get Scooby Doo and Shaggy in every single set (no complaining though). At £182 for the full line seems affordable to me compared to many other themes (its time to make room for the new stuff).

OMG! Heart palpaltations right now haha . But seriously this is the most expensive year for Lego yet, I plan on spending over £1400 on Lego in the first half of this year alone (I really need another job). All of these sets sound interesting though, I can't wait to see images (shouldnt be too long I hope). I'm so glad it's the classic Scooby Doo as I grew up watching them awesome cartoons.

@Zilcho, I have yet to buy this set, but from my experience I have had two sets of sticker sheets in a few of the super heroes sets. The two sets of stickers is a mishap so we were the lucky ones however the wings may not be if you only got two variations (two wings in total unless you got four?).

Zoinks! I've just heard the news about the revealing of the Lego Scooby Doo set list via thebrickfan. It's been rumoured for a while now but here is the set list from a 'reliable source' so I'm assuming its ok to post here. Mummy Museum Mystery (75900) Mystery Plane Adventures (75901) The Mystery Machine (75902) Haunted Lighthouse (75903) Mystery Mansion (75904) My personal opinion is that these sets could be a winner if done correctly. The rumoured release date for these sets is May/June 2015. See more at: http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-scooby-doo-2015-rumored-set-list/#sthash.3kXtW4PI.dpuf

Awesome! Can't wait to see images for these; such an expensive year for Lego in general. Think I'm going to have to get a second job as the current one doesn't pay well enough for me to complete my collection haha..

No offence taken; I just haven't visited this thread in a while and seeing as it wasn't mentioned on the last page I thought that I should share my experience just incase people like me who haven't visited in a while could know. At first when I saw it in the Lego store I thought that the label of the product has been misprinted . Just read your post, thanks. I found the full new DC superheroes line at Leeds Lego store in the United Kingdom. They had practically all the sets that were meant to be released in January. If anyone managed to spend £50 or over in December, then it's worth knowing that you can now pick up the free lego advent calendar (on the back there is a coupon to collect a free store minifigure in February). They also had the nice new LM set with Unikitty and the updated version of Batman priced at £11.99. Btw I have no clue how old this news is so can someone possibly enlighten me on these two new sets that are being released: 76034 Batboat Harbour Pursuit and 76035 Jokerland.

Went to my local Lego store today and purchased the two cheapest Superhero sets from the January DC release. The sets were the Brainiac one and the Green Lantern one however to my shock, the cost of the Black Manta set was £50! This is ludicrous compared to the US price which is $40 (I wouldn't have minded £40 but £50 is taking the mickey). :-/

I could see Lego making a Treehouse of Horror minifigure theme just in time for halloween. The chance of there being more sets other than the already known Kwik-E-Mart is a possibility as I think that they would sell well if they keep them to the UCS line and release of one per year. The next sets that I am hoping for consist of a pub (Moe's Tavern) and fast food joint (Krusty Burger). The Springield Nuclear Power Plant is also a possibility as there is a lot that could be done for that set.

Interesting list for sure, thanks J2G for the news. The new variations of the Simpsons family should be pretty cool however the figure that I'm most looking forward to getting has got to be Mrs. Krabapple (I guess we can look forward to seeing the images now that the list has surfaced).

Wow! What a fantastic entry. I must add that you're photoshop skills are very good (good enough to fool a few into thinking this was an official set), well done.

Lego Harry Potter Hungarian Horntail in 4767 - why so expensive?
Kez replied to Shawn's topic in LEGO Licensed
I remember buying this set at £30 and I thought that was expensive . Mad eye moody is my personal favourite minifigure in this set because he is the only exclusive, however Harry Potters variation is pretty neat. It's just a shame that I am missing the little magnetic golden [dragon egg] ball; I guess it isn't the ideal piece to own for when you are moving your collection around (much like those pesky footballs in the soccer theme.) The Hungarian Horntail Dragon is a very well done guy, but overtime the joints on those wings have deteriorated and the clutch power is pretty poor, maybe it's something I could fix by switching out the pieces. The reason as to why this dragon costs so much is pretty much summarised by @obsidianheart (the multi coloured tail mold is fantastic and the nice variation of bananas is an added bonus imo). -
Agreed, I could see Lego either making an accessible freezer, or the latter option would be to just use a few window pieces and apply a few detailed stickers of a few freezers onto the window pieces (with one sticker including the frozen jasper).
