This might seem random but does anyone know what the lego marvel keychains will be for 2014?? If it is worth it I break off the key chain bit and use it a a minfigure. Maybe we will get lucky and get hydra agent and I can begin an army

RANT ALERT!! I have litteraly been everywhere hunting down the new marvel sets with no luck. The worst part is that all of places have the new DC sets but NO MARVEL!!!! Even at my tiny tesco they had one lego set in the entire store and it was the batman steam roller set! Why can I never find you. Anyway rant over. I don't mind getting more mixed race minifigures even if the vast majority of characters aren' t.

Nevermind I didn't have enough for the set anyway! Its stupid how lego charge $20 for a set then £20 for the same set when (with exchange rate) only should cost about £12!! But I'm going to america this year and therfore might wait and then get them all there

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I went in to Liverpool yesterday and the one place I didn't check smyths (mainly because I don't know where it it). GRRR!!! Anyway hopefully I'll pop into Toys'r'us today and pick up the hydra tank. And out of interest how do you rate the sets??

Went out today to go and see the LEGO Movie (Great by the way, not sure if you have heard of it...) and went into the Entertainer and the LEGO store to buy some of the new Marvel Sets. This was at about 5:30 and the stores were closing. As I was searching in the Entertainer (UK Toy shop if you didn't know), I saw a stack of sets and when I moved closer I saw that is was the new DC sets that were being put up for sale (presumably for the next day). But no sign of the Marvel sets. I asked someone in the shop but he wasn't from the 'construction toys' section and so didn't offer any help. I wanted to go back in to ask someone else but we ran out of time. No luck with the marvel sets yet in the UK :(

As for the leg printing debate, I think lego don't feel the same need to do it with superheroes because if the use the batman mask, pretty much the only character that will suit it is batman. Marvel and DC fan recognise the key features and its only when you look in detail you realise that they don't always make the best looking minifigures. As for star wars, the specific characters aren't a well defined meaning more work is needed on the costume to make the character recognisable. With chima, again lego want to create a brand new identity like with ninjago where they can release TV shows etc based apon it. Because it didn't exist before lego made it, they need more character identification which means more leg printing

Thanks nnot looking good but at least I can have a look and who know, maybe I'll get lucky!! As for the new sets I'm looking forward to X-Jet more than any of the GOTG sets but that more out of preference than set choice

THESE SHOWS ARE FOR KIDS!!! Of course they are going to be comedic!! What kid want to watch a cartoon of superheroes just fighting and insulting each other. Okay maybe Ultimate spiderman is too funny to be taken seriously and as long at set based on that release new minifigures, I don't care

I apreciate they were originay from X-Men but in my opinion they are more involved with the Avengers than with the X-Men

I agree. I think it is very unlikely that we will get either of these minifigures again (phoenix and spiderwoman) because there isn't big publicity for there to atm. If Marvel/Disney were making a cartoon about other characters such as a heroes for hire show (maybe not the best image for children to see) or even adding spiderwoman to Ultimate spiderman, I could see a chance. But until then I think we should act as if they are gone

I think that the Simpsons and Movie minifigures won't sell as well because some of the people (like me) like to get all 16 if they are unique. Okay so they will sell one or two per young child but a lot of their money comes from people buying all sixteen where as I don't really like the movie minifigures so I'm going to wait till series 12 come back

I'm here in the UK and I was wondering if anyone has seen any of the LEGO Marvel sets here in the UK? I know a few people have talked about it but I wasn't sure is any of them were from the UK so I thought I would ask. Any news about it?

Erm... There has actually been some pretty poitive stuff about it and obviously with all shows there are some mixed opinions, but compared to othef shows it actually not that bad! However I think it is really unlikely that we will get a set based on it

In the Avengers Assemble cartoon, they are translucent. So, even if it is unlikely it could be possible that they are.

Back on topic, I assumed it was just LEGO trying to be to clever but never mind. Looking back at the Marvel video game there are plenty of x-men characters that were in the game that weren't actually made. I mean to list a few: Gambit, Emma Frost, Toad, Sabretooth, Mystique, Beast, Archangel, Havok, Polaris, Psylocke, Proffesor X..... The list is endless. Most likely when LEGO swap to make some X-Men sets they already have a load of potential designs that they could make. It would be a real surprise to me if LEGO don't have some sort of reason why they are focusing on X-Men set. I think that we will only get one or two a year unless a cartoon or LEGO get the right for the X-Men movies and then maybe we will get a selection.

Does anyone think LEGO has a master plan about the X-Men set? Maybe disney are planning to make an X-Men cartoon. I mean look at the Ultimate Spiderman and Avengers Assemble sets. Unless they know something we don't they might just be waiting for a cartoon to release a few sets off. Does anyone know of any new marvel cartoons?
