6126 - Good Guy 2008 - Theme: BIONICLE [bricklink] [brickset] [6126 LXF] Errors: - 57533 Head 4 Good 2007 has been substituted with 57575 Mask 2 2007 6128 - Function 2008 - Theme: BIONICLE [bricklink] [brickset] [6128 LXF] Errors: - 55709 Flex Rod 11 M, Soft has been substituted with 32199 Flex Rod 11M - 44033 Bion. 2002, Sword has been substituted with 57543 Weapon 17, 2007 6936 - Piraka & Catapult - Theme: BIONICLE / Playsets [bricklink] [brickset] [6936 LXF] Errors: - Missing Piraka Hakann face decoration These decorations were added in LDD 4.3.8; you can find them in Aanchir's LXF file of new decorations. While I'm here, might as well post a few small, unimpressive sets to index. At least, small and unimpressive compared to the Manas and other Rahi I've been indexing, but still, every set that we can add to the index will count. These are sets that, at first glance at their inventories, I thought, "Wow, these can be made in LDD without any errors!", only to discover that it was too good to be true, but it's close enough anyways.

Hello, again! I apologize for not contributing any sets for five months, but it's that darn pesky "real life" business again. Primarily due to 23323c01, which is a vital part of the model. Very large, very complex, and very few reference photos that I could find, though the photographs on Peeron and this rendering on Brickshelf proved absolutely essential. You can see my workspace as I was working on building a substitution; the model towards the center was supposed to be the finished version of the motor, but once I started building around it for the rest of the set, I found it was ever-so-slightly off, and I had to continue fiddling with it until the set was completed, with the finished version of the motor substitution in the bottom right corner. Fiddling. Yes, if there's one word that could describe building this set in LEGO Digital Designer, it had to be "fiddling". Not only with creating the substitution for that motor brick, but also with aligning beams and gears whenever the Hinge Alignment tool decided it wasn't going to work. I was constantly afraid that my fiddling would lead to a misplaced brick that would either crash the program or cause the model to be loaded incorrectly the next time I tried to open it! So far, it's safe in that regard, but I don't know about future updates... Though, despite all the work I put into building a replacement for the motor, I chose to leave out the remote control, with the justification that it's mainly just an accessory that isn't vital to the rest of the model. Unless, of course, you intended to play with the Manas set, but that only works in real life, not in LEGO Digital Designer! EDIT 10/18/14: Updated to Brick Version 1564.1.

I've been compiling a list of bricks missing from the sets I've contributed to the Official LEGO Sets made in LDD index topic. I've got plenty of other bricks that I would like to see added to the palette, but for now, I'll get this already-long list out of the way. I've listed these bricks from "appearing in the most sets" to "appearing in the fewest sets", in regards to the number of sets I've contributed (not in regards to how often they show up in LEGO sets in general), which is noted by a number in parentheses following every part name. Wherever I could, I listed the part number and name as listed on Brickset, which uses LEGO's official numbers and names; where I could not, I substituted in numbers and names used on Bricklink or Peeron (which may be unreliable). Parts among this list that I would especially like to see the most are bolded to give them priority over some other more-often recurring bricks such as rubber bands, which are useless in the LDD software, or bricks with similar elements that are already in the software and are thus easily substituted. This list was last updated 12/29/13:

Hello, again! I'm still here, though I haven't been posting or building much due to a pesky phenomenon called "being busy in real life". However, with the newly released LDD v4.3.8, I'm currently going through the sets I've built and making updates where necessary. I'll update the Brickshelf links and post about it in the LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report topic, but that may have to wait another week or so. Along with a few other BIONICLE elements, 48253 was added in the most recent update.

LDD 4.3.6 bugs
PeabodySam replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
As of the most recent update, 64712 Rim W. Studs Ø62 no longer collides correctly with 4019 Gear Wheel Z=16, M=1 and 94925 Gear Wheel Z16 in a manner as is required for sets that have gear function drills such as 8960 Thunder Driller or 8964 Titanium Command Rig. As it currently stands, my LXF for 8964 has removed 64712 and I cannot put it back in. If someone else can manage to make it work, please post an LXF containing the solution. -
This set popped up yesterday as the "Random Set" on Brickset's homepage. Since it wasn't indexed, I was inspired to take matters into my own hands... 6043 - Dragon Defender - Theme: Castle / Dragon Masters [bricklink] [brickset] [6043 LXF] Notes: - Instructions are not available on LEGO.com, but available through Brickfactory. Errors: - Incorrect decorations - 4626 Hinge Bucket 2 x 3 Curved Bottom, Hollow, with 2 Fingers has been substituted with a custom assembly

It's that time again. Time to complete the indexing of a single theme! This time, it's Indiana Jones. This particular set was exclusive to the San Diego Comic Convention July 2008, and instructions are not easy to come by on the internet, which is why I presume it has not yet been indexed. Luckily, it just so happened that someone posted the instructions on Brickshelf... so then, I went right to work! COMCON002 - Indiana Jones Brickmaster Pack - Theme: Indiana Jones / Kingdom of the Crystal Skull [bricklink] [brickset] [COMCON002 LXF] Notes: - Instructions are not available on LEGO.com, but available through Brickshelf: Page 1, Page 2 - This LXF includes 20004 Brickmaster - Indiana Jones, which was included in the pack but not shown in the instructions. Errors: - Missing/incorrect decorations

I've made the suggestion before to divide Castle and Space into their respective subthemes, as is done with other expansive themes like City and Star Wars. Since I presume that the reason you haven't already done so is because you are too busy, I took the liberty of sorting out the Castle theme for you. This should make it much easier to see which subthemes still need to be fully indexed, such as Knights' Kingdom I. However, keep in mind that this only covers the Castle sets currently in the index; any new additions to the database since the last index update are not included. I largely followed Brickset when it came to grouping which sets go in which subtheme, but I grouped Crusaders and Lion Knights together because the two subthemes are very similar, difficult to tell when one ends and the other begins, and are oftentimes grouped together in LEGO databases. The one thing I'm not sure yet is how to label the current Castle subtheme. Like the 2007-09 theme, it's simply called "Castle", but whereas the previous "Castle" subtheme has been largely nicknamed "Fantasy Era" and this new one doesn't yet have such a designation, I just stuck it under the general "Castle" moniker along with miscellaneous sets such as 3739 Blacksmith Shop and 10176 Royal King's Castle which don't have subthemes of their own.

LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
PeabodySam replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Due to a pair of bug fixes in the latest version of LEGO Digital Designer... Updated to LDD 4.3.6, Brick Version 1128: 5905, 5976, 5935 (B Model), 5956, 4748, 4744 -
LDD 4.3.6 bugs
PeabodySam replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
42610 Hub Ø11,2 X 7,84 cannot be attached to the top stud of 4733 Brick 1X1 W. 4 Knobs, even though it can be attached to any of the side studs. This attachment is used in 10192 Space Skulls, a set that was tailor-made to be built in a previous version of LEGO Digital Designer, suggesting that this attachment was once possible but for some reason cannot be done in the latest version (LDD 4.3.6). -
I was quickly browsing the index the other day, and I was quite surprised to see neither of these sets indexed. These are, after all, among the first LEGO sets that could be built with LEGO Digital Designer, back in its days before LEGO Universe mode and LEGO Digital Designer Extended mode. In fact, they were tailor-made to be built with LEGO Digital Designer. So, without further ado... 10191 - Star Justice - Theme: Factory / Space [bricklink] [brickset] [10191 LXF] Notes: - Although the LEGO Customer Services replacement parts page, as viewed via Brickset, lists two 89762 Cockpit 19° Bowed in this set, the inventory in the instructions booklet instead lists two 30384 Cockpit 19° Bowed. This LXF uses 30384, but a later version of this set might have used 89762 instead. Errors: - None! 10192 - Space Skulls - Theme: Factory / Space [bricklink] [brickset] [10192 LXF] Errors: - 42610 Hub Ø11,2 X 7,84 cannot connect to the top stud of 4733 Brick 1X1 W. 4 Knobs - Although all decorations are present and correct, some stickers on the smallest manned vehicle cannot be applied properly and thus have been stretched (2431 Flat Tile 1X4) or placed at an incorrect orientation (45677 Plate 4X4X2/3) EDIT 3/15/16: Updated 101092 to LDD 4.3.9.

Oh, brilliant! You've fixed it again! Since I do not actually own the physical version of 8963 Rock Wrecker, I was not aware (nor did it occur to me) that the orange sawblades could be lowered, thus allowing the cockpit to be attached. Thank you again for your help! This hasn't been the first time, and I very much doubt it will be the last!

And with these three sets, the Power Miners theme is now finally indexed at last! 8907 - Rock Hacker - Theme: Power Miners [bricklink] [brickset] [8907 LXF] Notes: - Instructions are not available on LEGO.com, but available through Brickfactory. Errors: - Incorrect minifigure decorations - 60700 Tyre Normal Wide ˜21 X 12 has been substituted with 6015 Tyre Normal Wide Ø21 X 12 8908 - Monster Launcher - Theme: Power Miners [bricklink] [brickset] [8908 LXF] Notes: - Instructions are not available on LEGO.com, but available through Brickfactory. Errors: - Missing Rock Monster decorations 8963 - Rock Wrecker - Theme: Power Miners [bricklink] [brickset] [8963 LXF] Errors: - Missing/incorrect decorations - Due to collision errors between the cockpit and the saws, the cockpit cannot be attached to the chassis - Only one 64712 Rim W. Studs Ø62 can be placed on the model at a time due to a collision error - 85049 Rock Monster,Midi,Assembled cannot be dual-colored Dark Stone Grey and Tr. Fluore. Heh... if I'm not mistaken, that makes the first update to the index since I joined where I had no contributions. How embarrassing! Quick, take this and hang on to it for the next update! Speaking of the index, I just noticed that, under Dino, Dino 2010, Dino Attack, 5882 Ambush Attack is listed as LDD 6... which isn't out yet, and probably won't be out for a few years. It's supposed to be LDD 4.3.6. 8964 - Titanium Command Rig (A Model) - Theme: Power Miners [bricklink] [brickset] [8964 LXF] Notes: - The "drill tower" portion of the vehicle has two configurations: vertical and horizontal. This LXF uses the vertical configuration because the horizontal configuration requires the Flex Joint 6M, Ø24 bricks to be bent at a 90 degree angle. However, there is some collision error that I cannot seem to pinpoint that prevents this horizontal configuration from being able to be pulled off in this LXF. You're free to experiment with it and see what works, but for now, just the vertical configuration is available. Just keep in mind that there is a "loose" 6589 Conical Wheel Z12 in the tower; I would suggest sticking in a 2-length axle to keep it in place while bending the Flex Joints. Errors: - Missing/incorrect decorations - 32348 Technic Angular Beam 4X4 cannot be connected to 57779 Telescopic Arm 2X1 1/3X16 - 30395 Hook W. Ball 1X3 cannot be connected to 32530 T-Beam W. Plate 1X2 W. Tube - 32530 T-Beam W. Plate 1X2 W. Tube cannot be placed on the correct two studs of 64566 Plate Hexagonal W Stand. Ø 48 - 43093 Conn.Bush W.Fric./Crossale has a collision error with 4151 Grid Plate 8X8 and so cannot be properly placed on the model - 56823 String Poly 0,5Mm On Spool is not included - 85049 Rock Monster,Midi,Assembled cannot be dual-colored Dark Stone Grey and Tr. Red EDIT 10/18/14: Updated to LDD 4.3.8, Brick Version 1564.1. EDIT 11/27/14: Updated to Brick Version 1564.2.

LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
PeabodySam replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
No new pieces or correcting errors here, but I swapped out a pair custom assemblies for a pair of bricks that is more-or-less functionally identical to the missing bricks, and since I saved the file in 4.3.6... Updated to LDD 4.3.6: 8549 (A Model) -
I guess I was feeling really adventurous, because here's not just the Tarakava-Nui alternate model, but Muaka & Kane-Ra too! And, as an added bonus, there's a few more Rahi to add to your petting zoo!* *Note: The LEGO Group is not held liable for any instances involving Rahi that are wearing Makuta's infected masks. And aren't these Ussal crabs just so cute? Come and see them at your local Rahi petting zoo! Although... I daresay... to any BIONICLE fan who wants a LEGO Digital Designer challenge, I have now uploaded the five necessary components to build the Rahi Nui: the Nui-Rama, the Nui-Jaga, the Tarakava, the Muaka, and the Kane-Ra. If anyone is feeling brave enough to combine these five Rahi and recreate this Frankenstein monstrosity in LEGO Digital Designer... good luck! Magnificent! Thank you so much for this... the wait for the 600+ new decorations to be unveiled was nigh unbearable! There's a few errors here and there, though. For instance, I noticed that the Series 2 Pharaoh has the Series 5 Egyptian Queen's torso, and a few face decorations (such as the Series 6 Flamenco Dancer's) are outright missing. I assume that these errors are because the correct decorations are not in LEGO Digital Designer's software? Although, and I do acknowledge that we're taking baby steps here since there are so many decorations to cover, perhaps it might be a good idea, until these decorations are properly implemented in the Decoration Tool, to think about making multiple versions of each torso or leg decoration. By that, I mean... just for example, applying the Series 1 Robot's torso decoration to a standard minifigure torso (rather than the original set's "mechanical right arm torso") or applying the Series 7 Galaxy Patrol's leg decoration to the normal leg of the "Monster Fighters cyborg legs". As I said, this is a lot to cover (especially since there are six different torso types and three different leg types that all support decorations), so I can be patient and wait until someone is brave (or foolish) enough to tackle such a project.

You might want to specify that the former is the A Model and the latter is the "Kahu" B Model. As a side note, maybe it's about time to split the Town, Space, and Castle themes into smaller subthemes, as you did with City and Star Wars? Anyways, I was playing around with 8537 Nui-Rama, and I think I've finally settled upon a custom brick-built solution for bb78 Technic Ball Joint with Double Rack and 32167 Technic Rectangular Gearbox Half, neither of which were sadly included in the LDD 4.3.6 update. As such, I decided to go ahead and do the set's alternate model, the Nui-Kopen! Much like 8920 Ehlek, though, I'll still offer the non-custom substitution version as an alternate LXF. 8537 - Nui-Rama (B Model: "Nui-Kopen") - Theme: BIONICLE / Rahi [bricklink] [brickset] [8537 LXF] Errors: - 32174 Link For Ball has been substituted with 93571 Ball Cup 3M Ø10.2 - 32551 Voodoo Hook has been substituted with 57565 Weapon 3 2007 - 32506 Voodoo Claw has been substituted with a custom assembly - 32553 Voodoo Head has been substituted with a custom assembly - 71509 Rubber Band Ø13 Mm Internal is not included - 32170 Technic Gear Rack Double with Ball Joint has been substituted with a custom assembly - 32167 Technic Rectangular Gearbox Half has been substituted with a custom assembly - 32567 Bionicle Mask Ruru (Turaga) has been substituted with 87808 Mask No. 4, 2010 EDIT 12/16/13: Updated to LDD 4.3.8. LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
PeabodySam replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Well, I just noticed a new addition to LEGO Digital Designer's inventory that somehow escaped my eyes and my searches for it yesterday. As such... Updated to LDD 4.3.6: 5882
