Thanks for the Thanks for the feedback! I have a few more MoCs set in the swamps that use dark grey as the water, it's really more of a stylistic choice but I like to think of it as brackish water.

Thanks a lot everyone, glad to know my work is appreciated! It's meant to be a suit of armour with a description sort of plaque type deal on the bottom.

Part 1 'Deep within the Orcish Marshes is the greatest healer I've ever known.' Thorrak continued, 'But the swamp is dangerous. We might not make it.' Thorrak was right. The Orcish Marshes were a treacherous maze of waterways and swamps. It was an area to be avoided where death lurked at every corner. Yet it was here his friend may find his salvation. 'I'm already dying,' Emelio laughed. 'What harm can one more adventure do?'

Nothing could have prepared Thorrak for the shock he'd just received. 'This is no ordinary disease my friend,' Emelio explained, 'I may look fine now, but unless this corruption can be stopped I fear it will spread. Yet that's where the problem lies. No apothecary or alchemist from here to Valholl can help me.' Thorrak thought deeply for a moment, before fishing out a map from one of his shelves. 'Don't be so sure,' he said with a grin.

From the early days of the pioneers to the present day, the rugged trappers and mountain men of Mitgardia stand their ground against the hulking grizzlys of the region. My first MoC officially on Eurobricks, it was only really built because I fell in love with the new Coonskin Cap piece from the Lego Movie CMFs C&C welcome

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Duke Blastus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Got pictures incoming as of tomorrow, gonna change my story tonight to fit new ideas (that's always a problem) I'm gonna take the time now to ask if I can lay claim to the Orcish Marches, which I've long thought to me the Orcish Marshes and have since built several MoC's in the style. I know swamps and such are more a Nocturnus thing, but could our own magnificent lands also incoportate some wetlands? According to the map it's geographically sound but just asking in case there's any official rulings behind such things -

I'm not too wise when it comes to camera's but I have a 14 Megapixel digital camera, and that shot was indeed taken indoors, though due to weather I'm not sure shooting outdoors is gonna be viable for the near future unfortunately. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Duke Blastus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ok, so I signed up a while ago and had terrible pictures, so I'm (re)presenting you with the higher quality Thorrak Seaborne. Thorrak is a proud champion of Mitgardia, seeking to make a name for himself and will fight tenaciously to defend the lands he loves. Through his travels he has mastered several forms of melee combat, including a brand of unarmed combat that he developed himself. He is also fortunate enough to have trained in the basic magical arts, though he is far from a master. He finds himself now residing in the Easternmost Isle of the Isles of Solitude, enjoying the riches and quality of life that his adventures have brought for him. - I would be most grateful if anybody could point me towards any tips for taking clearer pictures, I have multiple MoC's waiting in the wings but it took me long enough to get a clear picture of my sigfig, so capturing the details is going to be a tough task. And I guess I'm gonna take the time to apologise for taking so long to get the ball rolling, but I'm here now and I'm ready to go! -
Excellent work as per! Is that one of the Goblins from your other tribe caught in the net?

We sons of the North resent that comment! Not only do we boast the largest Dwarf city in Historica, we've got orcs, yetis, trolls, halflings, even some elves have found a home here! Now Avalonians on the other hand... -
Can't believe I missed this, excellent work!

Brilliant work, and kudos for going with goblins! Each one of them has plenty of character, my favourites have to be the Archer and Captain Shortbeard hanging in the back. Sucks about your figs getting stolen. I'm sure we all agree that it takes a low life son of a gun to even consider doing something like that, let alone actually going through with it.

Duke Blastus replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well I'm happy with either result Also, financial troubles have led me to a longer wait without a camera, so I took some low quality webcam ones I'm aware they're not great, but you can at least see what my Character looks like. Here is Thorrak in his finery, mostly worn in and around Valorgard. Parts are Thespian Legs, Professor McGonogall's torso, dark green arms, gold pirate hook, gold eppaulettes, black cloak, general medieval looking bearded face, musketeer hat, and a small white feather. Here he is prepared for battle, an expedition into the frozen north, or general travel. Parts are Knight's Kingdom I legs,CMF Viking ttorso, dark tan arms light grey hook, black cloak, same face, Hermione Granger's hair, and a Tomahawk. -

I know it's a topic of much contention, but would technological advances throughout book two possibly make way for crude firearms. Nothing more fancy than a musket. I understand it may never happen, but how would everyone react to the possibility of more ballistic weaponry in the future?
