  1. LDD allows some things that don't work out IRL, and for some reason i prefer messing around with tangible parts so a "Reality check" is included
  2. mine was just quickly fiddled together. didnt think of the long-pins at all due to the axle variant being prone to make a gordian knot. and unlike some others here i'm pretty new to the oddities of technic parts.
  3. fiddled a bit around with the O-Frames to get something based on their geometry. (Interior is some dirty trickery since i had no "Pinholes on the go" at hand at all to rotate the direction of some pinholes)
  4. Simplest idea might be doing the condition twice (duplicating the condition you currently have).
  5. And often the sorting system depends on the storage backing it...
  6. Maybe its like with the lego stores and the "lower tier" doesn't know everything... *wishes someone would have asked for the snowspeeder on that channel a few months ago
  7. I still track all sets in Brickset even though many get reused for their parts, the list from BS gets synced to Rebrickable which allows me to keep track on the existing parts to avoid searching for nonexistant parts
  8. Triangle works out as a pythagorean triangle which also perfectly fits the fitting pattern shown here:
  9. for small one: that part got the inofficial name "nnenn" due to a user using it regulary.
  10. maybe transporting only works with partially disassembled models (like having the wings removed in a controlled way to put them flat into a box)
  11. then we mean the same one, mentioning the number makes stuff easier to understand.. and having to wait sucks... But when i was shopping not all stores had it yet, too
  12. FIghter jet? you mean the race one?, in germany i saw that one in a brick and mortar toystore already (+ a 20% off on everything at the day i was there, instasnatch for me since it allowed me to avoid amazon). the porsche lingers on my wanted list, too though
  13. Maybe you can borrow a idea used on the venator MOC (that partially reuses the construction principle of the ISD) to avoid magnets at all:
  14. got one of those, too via some connections... need to find out where mine is stored but i think im sure on that
  15. once snatching up the UCS batmobile for 60 off in germany's "Galeria Kaufhof", had some luck of randomly spotting that deal. also another bunch of luck on a local toystore to snatch the march release sets for 20% off (weird luck of a 20% on all deal on the right few days)
  16. time to write a semiatuomatic spam detector... those http-ones ask for being autodetected. and i like to code (mods might have noticed the programming jokes in all my flags) Edit: 4th http spam today... Edit: 20th march 7 spams at once... and a truckload of http-spam
  17. Gordian Knot i found somwhere on Brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2978671
  18. that wouldn't help much on the issue of the "returned" sets where the thievery happens outside the store
  19. I just laughed my youknowwhat off on those gordian knots... thanks god i haven't built a single of those yet by accident Edit: made wording clearer
  20. lol, shortly after i reported that 7-pack i caught that starwars forum one, too Edit: 9th gotten Edit2: afew days later a 5-pack of http-spam
  21. just reported a 7-pack of annoying spam. i somehow always catch the time where the mods cannot see that stuff for some weird reason when doin my daily scan...
  22. personally im trying to avoid that risk, and my current sets are pretty heavy and usually got a fugly bottom. not wanting some load-bearing string to snap and causing a puzzle on the floor.
  23. Main "annoyance" though was the unexpectedness. No warning and no hint on how long it will take.
  24. What was the reason for the multi-hour downtime just now?, there was no announcement before
  25. just saw this... nice work :) feeling like theres another rabbit hole waiting there for bricklinking...
