I finally fished the two small Corvettes. They can be made in black or white and there will soon be a C2 convertible in dark azure too. Probably but I was only intending to make a road going version of 42096. The gearbox and panels were added at the end instead of RC to keep the build cost down. Thanks but that's one of the bits I kept the same as 42096. Roof and A pillars are the same too. Its about 70% RSR, We tried really hard to make sure all the extra parts are cheap and plentiful.

I have a formula that works even quicker on B models where I don't speed any time choosing parts/colours. I also have a very nice man doing all the boring stuff like making digital models and instructions. I wanted to do Cooper S with 4 cylinder but there was only room for a 3 cylinder between the front wheels so it had to be the Cooper. GeyserBricks will publish a version with 11 extra parts including the corvette (42093) roof. Those 11 parts make a huge difference. I'd be happy with just a black nose panel and the spotlights (5 parts) Lego Technic 42056 MINI Cooper by James Tillson, on Flickr

I devolved 42096 back in to a road car. The offset on the 42110 wheels means the model is 23 studs wide using stand CV joint/double wishbone set up. I moved the engine to behind the rear axle and added a simple 2 speed gearbox. [MOC] Ford GT40 Mk1 1967
JamesJT replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The original design didn't allow 2 gears to be select at all but that was when I assumed the gear stick was in the center of the car. Turns out the car was right hand drive with the driver moved towards the center and gear selector on the drivers right. There was no room for the original design but I am using it on my next build. -

You can see the links in the image. The gear selectors slide on gear racks. Ford GT40 MK1 1967_8 by James Tillson, on Flickr It is strange how 3 different connections came together to make that work. Found this solution by pure luck. I used the wheel arches from 42096. They are smaller than bugatti arches and only available in white with prints on. -

Thank you. The model was build in CAD so I could ask for a few colour changes. Almost all the text goes to my flickr page for some reason but the rebrickable link works now -
