I don't know if you can help me, but I'm having trouble with posting all of a sudden. Using the Google Chrome browser, the Rich Text Editor does not appear at all, and the reply buttons do not work. I'm typing this with Explorer, but even now the reply editor is wonky - the writing's sluggish and unresponsive, and I can't paint text at all. I had no trouble posting before Christmas, so I haven't got a clue what caused this. EDIT: Nevermind, it was those damn cookies again. I cleared them, and now everything works again.

Heroica RPG - Quest #145: Rescue My People!
Sandy replied to Palathadric's topic in The Heroica Archive
OoC: You forgot to edit our statistics after the battle, Palathadric. We should get an increase to our power, health and ether. "My, that was thrilling! It was Our first actual battle We have participated in Ourselves, although We have seen many great battles in Our lifetime. We still remember the Elven Uprising well, when the pointy-eared riff-raff tried to expand their territory beyond their woodland Preserve. Our late husband's army pushed them back to their bushes eventually. Those were the days... In all events, we ought to carry on."- 563 replies

The item specifically says "allows USER to flee", so you can only use it on yourself, not on others (ally or enemy).

Since we Finns celebrate Grogmas... err, Christmas today on the eve, I want to wish everyone jolly holidays! May you all get a lot of LEGO gifts! Naturally, this means I won't be able to update for a few days, but my vacation lasts for two weeks so I'll have plenty of time after Christmas.

Yes, it is. Again, when you join Wolf King's Followers, you're not joining Wolfgang although you need to be in good terms with them - you are instead publicly announcing that you support Ulric for king. The underground group called the Wolfgang is slowly being dispersed anyway, with Ulric enjoying a much larger support.

Heroica RPG- Quest #144: The Pen is Mightier than the Sword
Sandy replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ellaria felt warm inside after hearing the encouraging words from her questmates. Skrall, Nerwen and Alfred had all travelled with her previously, and even the elven mystic knight seemed to know her by reputation. When did this sudden rise to fame happen?! "I thank you all for your confidence in me, and I will do my everything not to let you down. We will get to the bottom of this, Mr. Homawae, you can trust us." She then motioned for the others to enter the house after her. "Let's go, gang!" -

"We are sorry for the girl, but this is Our only Phoenix Essence - in fact, the only our entire party seems to possess. Spending it this early on our mission would be a waste and a possible catastrophy in the long run. Fairies are surprisingly though, We hear, and We are sure she will soon spring back to her feet." Quintessa kept on attacking the viper from the front row.- 563 replies

Oh, wow! I'm really loving all these buildings. When thrown together the Elvendale Village is starting to shape up quite nicely! The green-roofed Inn looks especially nice! The brick-built dragons don't do much for me, though, and it looks like I can skip the Fire Dragon set altogether since it doesn't feature any other new elements besides the dragon. I don't know how you see a bearded wizard in the castle, because I'm seeing a long-haired sorceress in a black dress holding some sort of spellbook or something... All I see in the catalogue is a magenta teapot...

"Sounds like an excellent plan, Master Yavarr. We shall put it into fruition immediately. Everybody, to your places!" QM Note: I haven't had the time to build the scene of the final battle yet, so please have a little more patience. We'll surely get this quest done over the holidays, if you only have time to play.

QM Note: I will be unavailable for the next couple of days, sorry about that! We are reaching the climax of this quest, nevertheless. "Yes, the three of us can come with you to guard the perimeter of the park, but we ought to keep away from the inner park itself, or we might get devoured ourselves."

The wizards listened to the heroes' explanation intently. "So it has not been able to amass power too much, yet. That is good. Triffids are leeches, like the ancient Mindflayers, absorbing magical powers from other species. Luckily the Triffids can only utilize the absorbed powers when they are digesting a victim, using them as a channel." Altair Ziegfried turned to Waldorf, who was suddenly flaming red. "So you are one of the victims, then? Can you confirm this information?" "Buh... But y-yes, of course, Sir Ziegfried! Umm, I mean, it's a great honor and a priviledge to meet you all! I totally agree with anything the Ziegfrieds say! ...Oh wow..." The young mage seemed to be flabbergasted at the presence of the famous wizards. "We must not tarry any longer, but cast a locator spell. Tell me, how did you manage to follow the plant beast? It moves fast as a lightning, after all." "Ahem... It was my pet poodle, Frau-frau here, that got a whiff of the monster and helped us track it down." "Fluffy cloud with teeth..." "Yip yip yip!" "Splendid! Then we can extract the scent from the dog's nose and use it as a base for our spell. If you only allow that, Miss Frau-frau." "*whimper*" The wizards quickly got to work, and configured a spell that would reveal the Triffid's current whereabouts. "The locator spell worked! It seems the monster is now heading south, towards the Triad Park. It is probably seeking shelter among the trees and plants there." "If we think this through carefully, we can corner it to the park and catch it there without any further victims. I will send my men to fetch some traps and nets, but first we need a plan." The Ziegfrieds conjured a map of the park, so the heroes could device a plan how to trap the Triffid. "Phoebe and I will help in any way we can." "You can count on Annabelle and I, as well!" "And Frau-frau!" "Let's do this together, woohoo!" "We must split up to the three sides of the park as evenly as possible to prevent the Triffid from escaping. I suggest the Heroicans then go in to capture the beast once and for all, since they have the most experience of fighting it. Are we agreed?"

Captain Cousland suddenly stopped the party before they could depart. "Hold on! You're not going anywhere - not without me!" "You show that beast the hell's bells, Captain! I will take my wife to rest. She seems to be utterly drained by the assault." "Mishawani ka'kuro essa..." Bidding farewell to the Bonaparte, the party hurried to check if they could find the Triffid from the house of the Ziegfried family of wizards. They met three family members at the frontyard of the manor. It was getting darker by the minute, and the wizards illuminated their surroundings with their wands. "You there! Did you see where it went?" one of the wizards shouted at the entourage. "Goldraum, no need to be so rude! Don't you recognize Captain Cousland?" "My bad, brother. Sorry, didn't see you there, Captain. We just had a Triffid sniffing around the premises, but the manor's magical defenses drove it away." "It was... lonely, I reckon... And lost... Driven by insatiable hunger... Or maybe leprechauns..." "Good evening to you, Goldraum and Altair. And err... Chesterine. As so it happens, we are also after the Triffid. It has been attacking mages all over the city today. These people can tell you more about the attacks." The wizards turned their attention to the party, eager to hear their report.

Sandy replied to Palathadric's topic in The Heroica Archive
OoC: I reckon moving inside the sewers takes a turn? Quintessa peered through the hole. "Ooh, these critters look tough! Kheyli, perhaps you should move inside to help our rodent guide?" Quintessa attacked Magic Red Viper from the back row.- 563 replies

I must keep on apologizing for my hectic life, which lends precious little time for Heroica RPG... I won't be able to be on the computer on this Friday and Saturday at all, sorry! Things should quiet down by next week, though, since I'm not going anywhere for Christmas.
