Automatic Binding Bricks - The Oldest LEGO Sets
Lasse replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
An exception is the pigtails hair. The pigtails hair was in a lot of sets from 1975-1991. Then it was retired and was not in any set in 18 years. In the new Main Street set it was replaced with another hair. But in 2010 it was re-introduced in this set: http://www.bricklink....asp?S=852769-1 Thanks, I'm looking forward to hear what they know. In November 2010 I was in work experience at the LEGO Idea House. Therefore I know some of the people. At the moment my 1:1 MOCs can be seen in their historical exhibition: -

In the 1950s LEGO made glow in dark plasic crosses: http://www.brickfetish.com/toys/cross.html I have one of this old LEGO crosses in my bedroom. Therefore I decided that my LEGO mascot doll also should have a LEGO cross in his bedroom. I built the cross for him of Glow In Dark Trans Tile 1 x 2: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3069b&colorID=118&in=A

Automatic Binding Bricks - The Oldest LEGO Sets

When I got the box it was empty. Today I use the box for my collection of old slotted LEGO bricks: The box top is defect. Its missing the beam at 3 of the 4 sides. No Paper thin. -
Yes, I disassemble the house into smaller pieces and put it in boxes. It take around 2 hours to put it together again.

This is my best MOC. Maybe some of you have seen this MOC before. In August 2011 it was blogged by The Brothers Bricks: http://www.brothers-...go-mascot-home/ But it has not been showed at this forum. I'm a collector of old LEGO toys. In January 2011 I got the original LEGO doll clothes from the 1950s. Unfortunately the original doll was missing. So I decided to build a doll out of LEGO bricks. Later my mother and I decided also to build a whole house for him with television, telephone, typewriter, etc. in 1958 style. It took us ½ year to build this MOC. It was finished in August 2011. The dollhouse has been exhibited four times in Denmark. Next week it will be exhibited in Oslo in Norway and a few weeks later it will be exhibited at LEGO Fanwelt in Cologne in Germany. November is going to be a very busy month. More pictures can be found here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=480995 The toys at the floor are old LEGO toys from the 1950s: http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5143965 Here you can read about the LEGO mascot: http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5143964 The original LEGO Mascot doll can be seen here: http://www.miniland....oppetje eng.htm

I build this MOC together with my mother. Since the middle of August our MOC has been exhibit at the LUG showcase in LEGO Store Copenhagen. The MOC is inspired by the 50 year anniversary of Strøget. More pictures can be found here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=507750
