Port Augustine & La Formidable, both WIP
Capt. Kirk replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Pirate MOCs
I like them... But is there something like BrickLink for Lego also for Playmobil ? -
I think TLC is just experimenting what is perhaps the best. Plus,... do not forget every country has another "buy-behaviour" and taste and another cultural background. This is not based on facts but I think for example that Castle sells better in Europe then in other countries seen our cultural context. The Medieval periode have occurred here and most kids must learn about this dark periode in school.

Vintage Minifigure Collection includes a pirate!
Capt. Kirk replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
I agree with governor Broadside but not with Captain Redbeard... I think that from this mini-figure everyone of us has several... But I respect your opinion and I can understand that you want this mini figure but Redbeard on BL isn't that expensive. The more so if you compare it with Governor Broadside and Admiral Starboard*. If you now calculated that you pay 3,398euro (4.38212 USD) for 1 mini figurine in (Vol. 2). Then you better can order Redbeard with another BL order. For the prize of one Redbeard in Vol. 2 you have 2 on BL. Much cheaper if you ask me. With the Pirate figure which is now in the collection you do profit if you compare it on BL. To understand that you also could do something with the other 4 figurines. *= I just call him like this... Personally I do not think so,... since we have 2 different pictures and on both they look pinkish of colour. But I would not call it pink,... for my it has more the look of light redish brown. -
Together with the Achu-head I find this one the best after the 2 originals (but these have no angry face). I use this head for my Islanders. I think that it stops here for the angry Islander faces.

I really don't know where to put something like this... So I hope I"m at the right place and if not my apologies. It's not something I made but made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the "celebrity" mini figures by ??? But the look a lot like the characters from bolegbros. Grtz, kurt

As a result of bringing out Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol. 2, I thought at my self how my collection would look like ! So I went to Bricklink and looked at the mini figures catlog (or Minifigs.net). But if you surf BL mini figure catalog and what to create your own collection then you will experience that it is not easy. Because there are so much good mini figures. So I have imposed myself a restriction by taking only mini figures which are not made after 2000. Otherwise you can't no longer say that it's vintage. But eventual will appear that I will not 100% succeed in this... Something I would want to ask - if you participate: 1) That you take as many mini figures as possible that are made before 2000. 2) Try to look a bit at colour use (not all white mini figures for example). 3) That 1 female figure is in the set. 4) That all mini figures are from different sets. This is no requirement… only one proposal !!! My sets... Grtz and have fun, kurt

But it's sometimes so funny... like: Cross Bone Clipper | Querknochen Scherer | Dwars Been| Governor Broadside | Gouverneur-Breitseite | De Breedte van de gouverneur| We also could learn Esperanto...

IF the prize is the same as Vol. 1 (16,99€)... One mini figure will cost 3,398€ (4.43293$ via EX.com)... not cheap !!! For that prize I have Imperial Guard with shako & back pack !!!

To avoid misunderstandings or too much questions is it perhaps better that your give photo-links to Bricklink. Simply a general remark... no offence !!!

What's your opinon on the mudguards?
Capt. Kirk replied to Runninglizard55's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree with this... it's a good piece. -
I'm not into the Spongebob theme or its cartoon... But I think it has good parts in Brown en Tan... Maybe I buy it for this reason. Thx for sharing.

The CS-logo always has been centered... even the first ones with a sticker (white & red). The only difference is that it was printed higher on the torso (from white to black). By the way,... for those how missed the Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol. 1... this was in it and here you see that the CS-logo is printed like it should be.

Capt. Kirk replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I think it are the correct dimensions... But if you want to know it certain... You take some measuring tools... -

1) First of all my excuse Captain Zuloo, but I really didn't knew what I had do (as proof look to my subtitle + b). 2) Secondly I have then nevertheless taken the decision to post it here because: a) in previous topics there were also other members how want to order. b) other creations that Woody made had been permitted to be post here. 3) Thirdly concerning the mini figure… I stumbled on it before shutting down my computer and posted it without thinking. More to help Woody than to share it with others. My apologies here for… done without ulterior motive. By the way: I deleted it myself already and moved it to the Minifig Customization Workshop. Grtz, kurt

Hi Andreas, The soldier in white, what he got on his head - how do you call it ? I ask this because in the future I want to order some of these. And I what to order the correct ones... Is it also possible that you explain me once more how I must do this (place an order). You have already explained this somewhere but I can't find it anymore on CP. Thx in advance. Grtz, kurt

If you go to this link and register you MAYBE get a lot of Caribbean surmanes. But don't forget that the Caribbean population is a coalescence of several nationalities (English, French, Spanish, Portuges, Dutch, ect). So I think everything goes ?! What you also can do is via Google searchin' under "surnames + explanation + some country"

I saw those videos also (Inside TLC)... but don't forget we talk about a printing process in the years 1992-1995. It was a different way in those days... not that different but different. With other words there was more done manual. Now it's full speed and with many hightec (see videos). Do not underestimate a clone brick manufacturer. In comparison with other factory processes is printing one of easiest. It is not this difficult to perfectly print. I have done art-school and I used many times the process of serigraphy... you can do it without problem and perfect. The more so if it is on a flat area... what a torso is. Maybe it was...

It could rapidly happen if one of the works at TLC had put the wrong color in the wrong cartridge. This is possible because normally if a printing production line stops at the end of the day, you have to clean the complete line. Otherwise the inkt will become as hard as stone. With the result that you can throw away all the components of the machine that had contact with the inkt. By doing this cleaning process all the cartridges are clean when they start the next day (assuming that TLC doesn't work 24/24). Maybe they saw it, but to late and some of the soldiers past the test.

If you gone use a blanket between the iron and the sail - I advises you that to do... you first could spray a little bit of water on the blanket. The water helps to take away some of the heat of the iron... it's a extra safety for not damaging the sail. You understand what I wanna say ?

Michel Fourmi... it's French for Michael Ant... only it sounds better in French (it is even still an existing name in France). He is a pirate with a great talent to escape and he don't need much space to get's his body true. He had to escape from France because of murder.
