The official photo thread of the 2009 event!
Capt. Kirk replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
--> I understand how you feel Holodoc and you have every right to be pissed off, but beside the breakfast thing the hotel in general was clean (what I personally find the most important thing), the beds were ok and the bathroom too. I think that I may say that for the prize we payed it was good. Ok the breakfast was a disappointment/vexation but nobody will blame you for it. At least I don't blame you... -
That is NOT a COSTUME! It's an actual live poodle that's been dyed (with non-toxic temporary food dyes) and shaved into turtle form for a dog show contest. I’m always impressed with the amount of information and images that can be found on the Internet. When I come across an individual who has either: A: Too much free time B: A passion for odd combinations I have to congratulate them for their ability to be as creative/insane as the following person and their love of Cartoons and grooming Poodles. Your dog has reached a new milestone in it’s life, and will forever hate you for what you have done to it. One day, I hope that the result of my hobbies will be able to reproduce the shock that I felt after looking at your rediculous dog…

LOL But to say it with Lego... Ooops I almost forgot... something for the small kids... These are only a few! There are a ton more at the artist’s website.

What's the best photo hosting site?
Capt. Kirk replied to desultor's topic in Forum Information and Help
I use primarily Flickr (second PhotoBucket), as I like the layout and the nice coummunity features like comments, favoriting, ect. Also the direct upload is good. And for the ones that hate the limited photostream... be smart and create your own personal pool and you have no limited picture upload anymore... isn't that a good tip... MocPages is also good for me because of the community features, although I use PhotoBucket I find that the layout s*cks... but it's freeeeeee !!!! -
Classic Star Trek decals (Head & Torso)
Capt. Kirk replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I'm currently working on the Salt Vampire (M-113) and The Andorians but I'm not really satisfied with the result so the decals are in WIP fase. But you can have a look... Salt Vampire: I don't like the face... it's too broad IMO. The hair I'm satisfied with but still gone work on it. The torso is ok and not ok,... so here some work has to be done. The Andorians: Just like the Salt Vampire I'm not really satisfied. The hair is not what it must be and the head looks like a balloon. But the main problem are the antennae of the Andorians because I can't add them on the face. The reason is that in TOS they are on the top of the head. The torso is really WIP. -
Creepy but lovely...

Capt. Kirk replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I just searched via google and didn't find one,... but I don't say a Klingon with a head pattern doesn't exist. By the way I just added The Mugato and made a new head decal for The Gorn (difference is in the eyes). Now I gone do M-113 and thank all the members for the nice comments... THX !!! -

Classic Star Trek decals (Head & Torso)
Capt. Kirk replied to Capt. Kirk's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
--> THX !!! --> Yes they would... so I don't gone make them... --> I do my best... --> That's always my aim. --> Aha, the Sand Vampire or M113... I have the pencil version already, just have to work it out to clean lines and add colour. --> Marta and Vina will also be present... --> That's a easy one because in classic star trek they only have a moustache and a small beard. --> Thx Cap'n Blackmoor. -
Any way to add multiple arms to a minifig?
Capt. Kirk replied to HumanPackMule's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
--> I don't think that there exist a tutorial how you must to do this. --> But it can't be hard... just use the right size of drill (so take some dimensions first). --> If you refer to hime on your photostream that it's not your technic or idea,... I think it will be fine. --> A very good photostream is FLICKR and it's free. --> Personaly I find flickr much better then Brickshelf (more options and more and more builders go to this site). -
Looks good and you added some nice sport details.
-
Very nice... keep it up !!!
-
--> Your welcome. --> It has also a more piraty-touch then your other moc... you going the right way and keep it up.
