  1. I disagree with you LegoGalactus. I was, at first, skeptical of this new program. Spend $400 (USD) and you get $30 off. That's was a great deal. But how many times did I actually walk in and spend $400 or more? Once, UCS Falcon. Usually when we go into the stores, we end up buying something for $40, sometimes $11, or maybe $150. Usually, what happens is I either have to spend up to make it an even increment of $25 or eat the lost points. On a subtotal of $45, that stinks. Not only would I only get the one stamp, but I would lose $20 worth towards my next stamp. Now, this new program takes that into account. If I spend $45, I get 45 points. So when I spend a total of $400, I may only get $20 in rewards, but those rewards are going to cycle faster! Meaning all those points I may have lost in the past...well they don't get lost any longer. Plus, it's really nice that it can all be tracked. I hated when I forgot my card; I would have to start a new one and then have two cards to keep track of until I could get them combined. Only negative with this program, for me, is I know how much I have actually spent on LEGO since October when I signed up!
  2. Done!
  3. As of right now, with what I have seen... Iron Man 2 Predators I go to the movies to be entertained. For $11+, I'm not going to see anything I really have to think about. I just want to sit back and be entertained.
  4. Sorry to tell you this, but the Grand Emporium is an exclusive and brand new. LEGO stores keep it for about six months, then let other retailers sell it. Just wanted you to know.
  5. I know we all get sidetracked with things in our daily lives, but this has been one of my favorite topics in the Star Wars Forums...so I figured I would give it a lil bump! BUMP! So, anyone got anything new?
  6. Congrats on the new bike and congrats on the tag! I learned right away when I got mine...every other car out there is aiming to get you! Sucks, but somedays, it's true! Best advice I got from my Rider training; when you brake and lock up the back wheel, HOLD IT! Do not let up on that brake, just ride it out 'til you stop. If you do, the two wheels will spin at different speeds for just a moment before you go down. After 5 years, I finally locked 'em up last summer, no choice. I remembered that little bit of info and rode it out. Burning rubber never smelled so nice! I left a really nice patch on the road too! Anyway, yeah, taking the toy out tomorrow so I will get a pic or two.
  7. I'm pretty sure those were built by Mark and Jeramy from Railbricks. That's just a guess based on the 0-6-0 switcher and the ballasting of tracks in the background.
  8. Csiquet, Please do not advertise your trade posts in other topics. Very tacky and unappreciated on Eurobricks. Thank you.
  9. The color and detail on this are fantastic. I'm not familiar with Hermes brand, but from what others have posted....Way to go! I agree about the balcony; it does look a little strange. Not bad, just strange. The color scheme really is great to look at! Great MOC.
  10. Well, looking at the way things are going, I would hate us to end up in a stalemate and not have anyone convicted, so I'll change my vote. UNVOTE: Bobby Camon/Bob the Construction Man VOTE: Pvt. Wilson Gale/Whitefang
  11. Ok. VOTE: Bobby Camon/Bob the Construction Man I'm under the radar? What is this radar you speak of? I was the one with the testicular fortitude to tell everyone about my abilities up front. I've also shown up and made multiple comments these past five days. And you have the gall to tell me I'm avoiding people? I don't think so fella!
  12. I am so lost and confused right now. Does anyone have some parchment and a quill so I can write everything down and sort through all of this? Claims of this and that...so messed up. Besides, with all of his eating, Pvt. Stelly should weigh about 400 pounds by now!
  13. Spoke to my source and was told that PoP sets might be orderable on Monday the 22nd, but they won't be available in store until April 1st.
  14. This topic is for LEGO Star Wars 2010; all the rumors and pictures and speculations, they all go in here. This is not the topic for advertising your posts. Maybe we need to have a talk BountyHunter501.
  15. Well, instead of just filling cups at the store, ask the employees for a $150 box. If you were to dump 1x1 round plates into cups, and then pour those cups into the box, you would probably get about 8.5-9 cups worth in the box. But this is a squared off box, so if you plan on stacking brick, this is the best way to get your money's worth. Of course, it all depends on what there is to choose from.
  16. I don't see LEGO going with seperate boxes of track. When 9V was discontinued, all of the straight track sold like hotcakes. But what was LEGO sitting on? Lots of curved tracks, right? So now all of the other merchants see this and when LEGO releases the all-plastic track, what do you think those merchants are going to buy all of? The straight track! It's gotta be the same principle with the roadplates. We all need more straight roadplates, but the merchants know that. Mixing them all up works better for the company. Do I think that individual tracks and roadplates should be available on SAH? Yes, but with the flex track available (I have not yet tried this stuff out) I don't see us getting single straight tracks anytime soon.
  17. WOW! That shop looks just like the one by my house. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't a real picture! I like the tiled effect on the underside of the canopy. Since you are so detail oriented, I will ask about the underground tank hatches. Were you planning to add any, or just leave them out at this point? See, I like everything you did, and I'm actually trying to think of more stuff for you to add. I'm sorry, this just looks great man! Very nice!
  18. Welcome Mike. I too was at Brickworld Indy this past Sunday and can say it was a great show. Smaller scale than Brickworld, but there were a lot of quality builds. I also got to see the Railbricks layout. Unfortunately, Mark wasn't there, but I did get to talk to Jeramy for a while and his modules behind the roundhouse were simply amazing. The size of that turn was incredible, along with all the simple detail; it really was a work of art. Isn't it great that no matter who you are, LEGO people always have time to talk LEGO? Nice to hear you blew some coin on a few items. And glad to hear that you are getting back into it! Any chance we are gonna get to see/meet you at Brickworld outside Chicago this year? In regards to LDRAW, yes, they are more than welcome here, just try to put them into the correct forums, that's all. Glad to have you aboard and looking forward to your contributions!
  19. Last time I checked, the new walker was not a motorized walker. Unless you know something I don't?
  20. What does it really matter if the sets are listed as Clone Wars or Episode 3 guys? Are the googley cartoonish eyes that big of a deal? LEGO is going to classify them however they want, and there isn't too much any of us can do about it. Rerouting this topic... I am eagerly awaiting the "new" AT-AT Walker and the exquisite 10212 item. I'm curious though if the Weequay included Cad Bane's Speeder will have a new head or be a reprint of the one in the Pirate Tank.
  21. You're gonna have to help me out here, what 'real killer' are you talking about.
  22. What, this tag? I asked Shadows if he could make one, and he did. Then, I figured all of the people that have motorcycles should have a motorcycle tag in their profile. I too shall post a pic of mine, but not yet. I have way too many LEGO bags blocking it in at the moment. But, the weather is a bit nicer here outside Chicago so I might have one in the next few days. Started her up the other day and....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounded good! Glad you enjoy the tag. And yes, if any of you are planning a ride, feel welcome to use this thread. That's what it's all about!
  23. Well, I don't know about Pvt. Reutal, because I haven't investigated him, but all I do know is the evidence is stacked up towards Provost Guard Ian Des. So without being able to fully investigate him, and looking at the fact that he has a knife in his pack, hidden secretly, I will have to vote for... VOTE: Provost Guard Ian Des/Iamded
  24. Oh yeah, I forgot to say that all staff are just Grandfathered into this each year. No need to sign up. I have 'most' of you already. I need to work on my decal skills for Bonaparte and Holodoc though. Let's just say it was a good thing the picture was from far away.
  25. Nice, thanks for the pics remus! I'm jettin' out of Chicagoland tomorrow morning, bright and early, to see the show. I'm terrible at loading pictures, but I will try to upload some, if not all, in the next few days.
