  1. The Pirate Tank was shown at some point, but I can't remember where. It has Obi Wan and two Space Pirates. It is $39.99 I believe. AND... OMG! I like that ATOT and dropship set. It's a bit silly that is will be £150-£200 though! I'd rather buy the ATOT on its own!

    City '09?

Oh yeah! I can see an ice cream truck on one of the lower rows!
  3. I won't go into any detail about my reservations of the internet, but that wasn't aimed at you in particular! END OF DISCUSSION P.S. I have just seen the pics of the Mon Cal Cruiser for Star Wars - must be
  4. I think Lego should try and go back to their Viking idea for missiles (which is used in the Republic Shuttle). When I say Viking idea, I mean missiles that fire rapidly without having to 'flick' them. This system is far more effective, but it could only really be implemented into certain sets. Besides this, I had another look at the Separatist Shuttle and saw how many figures it has for £30 (a guess). I am very keen to have a 'Greedo' alien type minifigure (yes, I know is Onacian Farr, or something) and the other guy
  5. EDIT: I don't know... I have my reservations... Maybe, but I'll definately keep you updated on what Lego is available here. P.S Argos seems to have most of the new sets - especially Power Miners. Got the Thunder Driller from there a few days ago.
  6. Thunder Driller WTF? How can you drill the rocks if the drill stops spinning when it stops? I suppose it's so powerful it's meant to carry on going into rock.
  7. Good. I hoped to get at least one pilot in the Venator - otherwise it wouldn't make sense. I Commandos/guards Palpatine's face shouldn't be that ugly - he hasn't been burnt by his own force lightning yet!
  8. I hope that the UK gets something early - perhaps the 3 new castle sets like last year in March My local TRU is only just beginning to stock up on 2009 January sets (TRU Poole). I don't know whether others are similar.
  9. Sounds like a good prospect - a new Lego Indiana Jones game. My bro bought it for me the day it came out for PS2, although I have a PS3. Everytime I played it, it just kept freezing playing a loop of 1 second of Indy music Still, I would like a new Indiana Jones game to cover KOTCS, but I can't be sure it exists yet
  10. I grow tired of this bickering of names of minifigures in these sets It seems odd that the Hoth set should be the same price as the Snail Tank set - there are at least 50 more pieces in the Tank set + expensive clone molds I would like to bring up the Home One set again. I'm not really a fan of unfinished bases (original Echo Base anyone?). I hope there are some good figs in there or possibly on Summer magnets - otherwise I'm unlikely to buy this set. I don't think I've mentioned this before but I am not really either a PT or OT person - I like both. The main sets I buy from Star Wars are usually sets from battles on the ground of a planet (+gunships). For this reason, I don't buy many ships
  11. I bet you're thinking this thread type seems familiar - well that's because there's one for Canadians already. I don't see why there shouldn't be a thread for people of the UK too (English/Welsh/Scottish and Northern Irish too). Here, we can discuss: Set Prices Country News Shop @ Home availability Ordinary shop availability Anything else you deem relevant to the UK Hope to hear some good conversation here! PS: As one thing to start with, the Power Miners Boulder Blaster has appeared in the last 2 days on S@H for
  12. Cool! I play a lot of MS too. I'll send you an invite. Got to gold Legend 100% yet?
  13. This is absolute MEGABLOKS that I can't buy Space Police in the Uk. It's still being sold only a few miles away in France Looks like I'll have to go on holiday in the Summer.... Wait... The SPIII 'un-release' is a GOOD thing! Besides this, I still can't wait for some proper box pictures of all the sets - or maybe a slightly different view on the theme in the Uk/IR, Russia and Japan. This would be okay, because at least we would be able to get the sets! (I just hope that if this happens the sets aren't turned into 'Dino 2010' .
  14. I've got to agree here. I still want the AAT (and maybe the Republic Shuttle), but now I don't have to buy the Solar Sailer for Dooku. I hope there are some clone magnets ion the future - but there is nothing to support this, as of yet.
  15. EDIT: In the words of legoman - I don't really like mid-scale to be honest!
  16. I know you can see these episodes, or parts of them online, but my monitor is pretty small, and there wouldn't be very good picture or sound quality. I'm happy to know that the whole series will actually be on non-movie TV soon. (I have an HD wide screen TV - Max quality )
  17. Don't worry for me - 1. I had no other way of watching SW Clone Wars on TV until now 2. It's easy enough to AVOID threads with spoilers. AT the moment, I don't have a clue what happens in detail - only the content of the sets.
  18. I just got: Stone Chopper Mine Mech Cave Cutter They are all awesome, but I like the cave cutter the best! Any idea when the Boulder Blaster will be out in the Uk?
  19. Thanks for that confirmation CopMike I thought at some point the theme may be split again ... a-la-Dino Attack/2010. I'm glad that shouldn't happen. Dino Attack looked 100x better than 2010! I can't wait to see pictures of the smaller sets - it seems there are loads of cool alien molds in this line.
  20. I just saw at about 10am this morning, and advert for Star Wars The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network. "Bah! It's still on Sky Box Office" I thought... but I was wrong. At the end of the advert, it was revealed that Star Wars The Clone Wars is being premiered on Cartoon Network in the UK soon. The exact date for the beginning of the series is February the 14th. I can't wait Finally, I can see the Clone Wars in full properly on TV, and I can see what some of the sets will be/have been based on! Hope this news helps people in the UK who wish to see the Clone Wars. (The news might be similar in Ireland - I'm not sure.)
  21. A summary of minifig faults at the moment (because I know for sure most have been mantioned): The Clone in the Corporate Alliance Droid is flying with a 2x2 light bley tile on his back R2 doesn't have the new head in the Y-Wing Chancellor Palpatine seems to have a non-new head which has already been used somewhere I think the Hoth Rebels are still smileys The Endor rebels have imperial officer caps in green, not new molds Not really complaints, because I think TLG will fix them. Other than that, I think initial impressions of ALL the sets are very good My favourite at the moment though is still the Endor Base - it just seems perfect
  22. SHe can't put out the fire because she needs to help here husband get he baby to bed
  23. Doh! The sets I was most interested in Squidman Escape and Freeze Ray Frenzy! Well, I can be pretty sure that green four arm guy is involved!
  24. Wow! The minifigures in the Separatist Shuttle are awesome. However, that would be my only reason for buying it! The Endor set - such a perfect set, I can't really say much, but I hope the Ewoks are coloured when finished Oh, and I reckon the Hoth set will be £20, even though it only has about 160 pieces. Still, I might buy 2. I love those Hoth troopers
  25. At the moment, I don't really/often use the credit card because I like to spend what I have in my bank through debit. That's usually fine for me
