  1. Some new dinosaur have leaked, mostly recolours of small moulds, but also the fabled baby T Rex
  2. Quite unusual (though I get it, given the rocket) for a licensed animal to appear first in such an elaborate mould & in costume. I did wonder if the head might separate as in Scooby, and the DC super pet dogs
  3. I don’t want them all to be warriors. I do want them all to be *fabulous*
  4. I do like the existing phoenix, though it’s limited use to me. I suppose it *might* pass for a hoatzin with a little bit of artistic licence … As aye I would welcome another dog mould, though I do think it’s high time we started getting some generic mongrels
  5. Agree re the multi purpose torsos. I’d say the same about needless yellow flesh on display too!
  6. Thanks for my tribute (9) Not aimed at anyone in particular, but often when we have chat about themed series and especially Pirate & Castle ‘archetypes’, I think we are missing the fact that the Lego group has moved on from old fashioned gender-based ideas. Like it or don’t, we have now had several castle and pirate themed sets and figures which have upended the old gender divide, and given us, amongst others, female knights, female falconer etc. These days we are (rightly imho) as likely to see female warriors as male ones, which then makes tropes like ‘damsel in distress/princesses’ or ‘Governor’s daughter’ vanishingly unlikely to be in modern or future line-ups.
  7. It was a weird step imho. Even just a few recolours of existing farm animals would have made so much difference.
  8. Maybe it could be a whole zombie series filling in all the archetypes we haven’t zombified yet ;) zombie aristocrat, zombie fireman, zombie cyclops, zombie vet, … 🤣
  9. Thing is, as we have seen from other themed series, if they did do ‘pirates’ it’s likely to be a more loose interpretation rather than a roster of 12 figures we might slot into the existing sets. So you should expect a space pirate, a pirate ship costume, a ship’s figurehead, a cockatoo costume, a zombie pirate captain (oops we already have that …) etc
  10. I recently stumbled on the leaked image of the that set. It featured a veritable ark full of animals. 😩
  11. That the toucan didn’t show up in any Encanto sets probably proves it won’t, ever.
  12. The tan pup already is, but BAM parts tend not to be - so I doubt the koala will appear This would be nice - but I’m hoping for some recolours for the existing wolf soon. White, black and dark tan, if you’re listening @ Lego
  13. I hear ya, but I’m not gonna stop expecting them to give us more ;) I think if the moulds are intrinsically overly complex or fragile, then you’d think that would be caught during the design and development stage. Ultimately it makes sense for them to introduce new moulds that are robust and useful. At least, you’d assume so.
  14. Also full face masks to keep the snots in. 😂 on size I don’t think the flamingo is really that much bigger than the pig which has shown up in BAM, or for that matter parts like butterfly wings, surfboards and ghost shrouds. That we don’t have by this time flamingos in at least coral or light pink is an outrage, surely? 🦩🦩🦩 Like why even have those colours if you don’t flamingo with them? Er no thanks, let’s prioritise live ones, not least because the ‘skeletal animal’ route, as evidenced by Halloween decorations every year, is a total mess of misrepresentations Slight shame that the koala didn’t get a recolour to an adjacent colour like dark grey, sand blue or even dark tan. Who would ever have thunk we’d have a skeleton fish before we got a rubber chicken!?
  15. Yeah they should ban kids from Lego shops tbqh
  16. Interestingly the logo on the torso of the ‘animal rescue’ character, who comes with the koala, is made up of three animal faces (in their Lego form): - koala - toucan - chameleon I know BAM figures can be one-offs, but that seems oddly specific. Would welcome toucan and chameleon making a return in BAM or elsewhere (especially if they get recolours)
  17. About time the koala showed up again! now…. Do the flamingo & mouse
  18. Would be really odd if one sided. On the other hand, being that size with complex shape & printing - if it ever shows up on Bricks & Pieces it will be priced astronomically
  19. It’s high time all the fish thrown in the Lego City trash decomposed away to just skeletons
  20. With the introduction of the new clownfish, which has eye printing and an anti stud on its base, the OG fish suddenly becomes out of date, and has to sit with the unprinted parrots at the back of the class. I guess it can still represent a dead fish, and now we have an even deader fish to complete that line up 💀 I think we have also quietly passed the baton on from CMF designers who were very clearly dog people, introducing new moulds of dogs (chihuahua, French bulldog, terrier, dachshund, Afghan hound) pretty routinely, to cat people - who are playing catch-up with some more diverse moggy moulds. Long overdue to have some variety in the kitties, I think. Definitely see the fish skeleton being a go-to in sets with trash cans / cats. I know a ton of marine biologists so I’m fine for spares of her 😜
  21. Pretty sure it’s a new cat mould with the cute witch, maybe sitting? clownfish is super cute, and fish skeleton is a nice surprise Unicorn in white, with what appears to be a pearl gold mane, and silver horn. ‘Chocolate’ dragon doesn’t appear to have any eye details which is a wee bit disappointing, but not a huge surprise
  22. You absolutely should contact customer services and say you’ve been ripped off - because you have! It’s not like the foxes were discontinued - get complaining!
  23. Yep And post Brexit the UK is stuffed for accessing European sellers cheaply. I understand that at least one of the German Legolands sells the arctic fox for a couple of Euros - which probably accounts for the cheapness and bulk of some European BL sellers. If the wolf did show up on Pick a Brick then the price would be extortionate - as it’d have to be, to compare with the fox which is less than half its size 🤷🏽‍♂️ Did you pay full price on Pick a Brick for your foxes @ Shiva?
  24. It’s halved in price but is still about 4x what it should cost. No one can seriously suggest that a small animal like that with one colour mould and basic printing is worth £5.57, let alone the £11+ they initially charged. (And it probably only halved in price because so many of us complained)
  25. Though, lest we forget, those three also came at a price - they were only available in €€€ sets, the wolf hasn’t showed up on Pick a Brick still (and was otherwise only available with a much-scalped chase CMF), and the arctic fox pricing on Pick a Brick is just insane. Lego knew these were much wanted and missing animals, yet still chose to make them out of reach for many fans. Pretty shoddy imho. (See also the goat in CMF / medieval village)
