  1. My very own GBC module It uses a single M Motor to elevate (and lower) the platform. There is a small 'gate' on the platform blocking the balls from falling until the platform reaches its highest point. There is another gate on the ball input to make sure the balls dont fall to the ground, only to the platform. The platform can carry about 5 balls at once. Here is the video Thanks for watching
  2. I played a lot with the gear ratios trying to sync everything, this is the most reliable solution I have found . Thanks for watching!
  3. Inspired by nxtstep101's ferris wheel,I thought I should build my own. Mine, however,is very different from the original:only the concept (of spinning axles which carry the balls up) is the same :) The video: Thanks for watching.
  4. Hello I made a new GBC Module. Its a pretty simple one which will be used to bridge between the end of my GBC loop and the beginning ,with low part count. The runway in this video is only temporary in order to demonstrate the module. Thanks for watching.
  5. Thats very cool, tough the boom seems a bit...fat? :D Can you give more details about the extending mechanism? I cant see racks there, and a LA wont get this far... Thanks
  6. Hello :) After a lot of time I didn't have time to build,Iv'e finally found the time to build some GBC. So I built this module..named it clicker (because when the balls switch between levers there is a click. cant be heard in the video, tough) There are 2 issues with this module: 1) it cant take more than 2 balls at once at the queue so I need to build a seperator for it. 2) This module took 90% of the liftarms I have, because I don't have any other technic set rather than my 8043. I think the video explains the rest. Thanks for watching. (Sorry for the shaky camera)
  7. HELL YES! Im a C# programmer (beginner) and having a mindstorms set is like a dream coming true. however, these costs around 600$ where i live :(
  8. Is the new intelligent brick powered by a rechargable battery?
  9. I live in Israel. There aren't any Lego events here (yet?). im a high school student so I don't have the time to go aboard to a Lego event.
  10. Thanks :) Actually the timing of the balls wasn't an issue. the main issue was building the splitter - took a while to figure out how to build it the right way. it had many problems..but I managed to solve them at last. I don't take my GBC to public exhibitions because there aren't any in the country I live in :(
  11. Hi! This is my 2nd GBC "Loop" (Not exactly a loop as it only has 1 module).. It splits the balls into 2 seperate runways - one of them is a fast zigzag and then a long straight runway and the other one is a longer runway with some direction changes. I wanted to create a small GBC as a weekend project, it ended up being much longer to build because of school... I also have plans for a larger GBC with my own modules... but it might take a while
  12. Iv'e done something like that in my " " .just a quick, simple solution. The iPod is sitting in a case made out of technic beams. It cannot move anywhere when inside of it,but can still be easily removed or inserted. the case is locked with an axle and a sliding "door"
  13. You can still pick it up on bricklink for about 120 euros. But note that if the seller is not in your country, the shipping will be probably very high because of the dimentions of the box and its weigh.
  14. Very nice, I built something similar a week ago. basicly a car with a mount for an ipod on a turntable. its very fun and handy. (I used powerfunctions, tough)
  15. Umm nope, this is the newer type of 8043. it has the newer LAs (also the newer 16 tooth gears)
  16. Thanks for the info. So the conclusion is that this LA's "clutch" only engages after some more power is applied.
  17. Tested manually all the LAs,one of them seems to only engage after MUCH more power is applied. strange, those LAs never had any high load requirement in my MOCs. only very easy jobs
  18. Hi. I have 4 LAs from the 8043-1 set. Iv'e built serval MOCs using them and today while building an MOC I noticed that one of them doesn't makes those clicks when its fully extended - it just jams the motor. Then I tried the same MOC with another LA and it did make those clicks, and the motor kept running. is this possible that one of my LAs doesn't have a clutch built in to it or maybe im imagining? very strange.
  19. Very nice! but that seems like a pretty akward way to mount the M motor. the axle seems to be bent a little this way. What are those tubes? these arent standard Lego ones. i'll be very happy for some more details about them.
  20. I didn't see anything that has pre-programmed tracks that WASN'T made out of Legos
  21. Hi! Iv'e built a fully mechanical domino building machine. it uses 1 motor spinning in one direction only. The mech is pretty simple - the motor drives the top 8 tooth gear which drives the 40 tooth (that moves the arm),that 40 tooth is on the same axle of a 24 Tooth crown gear, which spins a 24 tooth regular gear, which shares its axle with another 8 tooth that drives a 40 tooth, that shares the axle with the wheels (the wheels are the same size as the 40 tooth gear to make the mech accurate) But this is only the simple mech. a lot of affort was done to prevent to dominos from falling while the machine was driving, preventing from the arm to move 2 dominos at once and much more. the machine is reliable. inspired by Matthias Wandel (He used self made wooden dominos which made his machine simpler to build) Video: EDIT: Sorry, forgot to embed: (Thanks Alasdair Ryan)
  22. Good to hear :) the only downside on the unimog for me is the panels - I want to keep my collection at yellow for now,and not to start mixing between colors (I have a very limited budget)... Well,I'll probably get the unimog anyway. so many pieces :D
