  1. I don't think they are in the same scale. The crocodile is longer than the locomotive+tender.
  2. Here you go: The forbidden catalog
  3. Didn't find a blueprint for the 230 G but this Wabash 4-6-0 number 713 is pretty much the same length as our LEGO engine here. So stop whining. The reason LEGO probably chose this generic engine is because Orient Express is also focused on the luxury carriages.
  4. Don't understand what the big fuss is about the engine's length and why it's considered a caricature by the "train experts". There were dozens of engine types and sizes used on the Orient Express all the way from 1883. The Ideas submission just showed one example and I would rather have a train that can fit the LEGO tracks and be motorized then another static display piece a la UCS Hogwarts Express. The LEGO Orient Express is most likely based on the SNCF 230.G.353. This locomotive and the sleeper wagons were displayed at a train expo in 2014 in Paris as well. See the full gallery here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=Il+était+une+fois+l'Orient-Express&title=Special:MediaSearch&go=Go&type=image And based on the distinct O.E logo and Orient Express (TM) from the catalogue it's also clear that this set is licensed to Orient Express SAS, who will unveil in 2025 a line of 17 restored luxury passenger cars, hence the hefty price tag. So you can be sure that the licensing partner had a big say in how this train should look like. https://www.orient-express.com/trains/the-orient-express/
  5. You mean the linkages between the drivers? Looks like a Technic link similar to 30397 that is twice as long.
  6. And here is the official source for the image, so a self leak by TLG: https://catalogs.lego.com/lego-sets-for-adults/?icmp=LP-SHCC-Standard-BC_CC_Standard_Adults-TH-NO-OIU88W5XCB&page=70
  7. Yep, just saw it on YT. Even the tires have stickers and the rims don't spin with the wheels, which is dumb. Since that figure is not shown in other promotional material, I guess it's a mistake or it will be sold only in China with that.
  8. Maybe posting a link to a private fb forum is not the best idea... https://www.instagram.com/p/CyQyiv8S8lp/
  9. Looks like the Alfa Romeo F1 got a baby brother and if those parts are really all prints we have another win for CaDA, although I see a big issue with the inclusion of that minifigure and the whole Qman fiasco.
  10. Oh, didn't notice that. Then it's useless. We are stuck with blue. :((
  11. We have new Technic parts on BaP. So LEGO CAN recolor a color locked pin/axle if they want. Pearl Dark Grey axle+pin is still better than blue. 16T gear in blk is also nice. Now if only they'd change those ugly blue 3l pins once and for all...
  12. Must be a cool company to work for if the Designer itself supports the immediate firing of the employee or threatening with "serious consequences". Must be easier if the labor force is in the east, right.
  13. In case anyone wonders about the part list of 40608:
  14. @Romanista Connecting one stud in a Technic hole is NOT considered illegal building technique. Only putting a plate with multiple studs in a row of Technic holes is illegal. Check out the pdf on what is acceptable by LEGO's standards: http://bramlambrecht.com/tmp/jamieberard-brickstress-bf06.pdf
  15. Wow! Now this is what I call a proper B-model for a 1:8 supercar. Even the 5-spoke rims fit the NSX well, plus the proportions and functions are phenomenal. How many parts were left over from this @Romanista?
  16. If LEGO Certified Stores or resellers can post reviews or speed build videos before the embargo dates, why wouldn't this apply to CaDA as well? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the extension over the battery box doesn't need to hang loose if you plug the motors in the first and third socket holes. At least this is what I understood from the video.
  17. Maybe first video review? With auto-translated subtitles watchable by everyONE. ;)
  18. I saw a review on YT where the AR F1 suspension was sagging a lot and the front would not keep its own weight (reminds me of the Chiron). Steering angle is unrealistically small. Also the system pieces would easily fall off on the sides, so really just a display model. Stickers must be a pain to apply since they are transparent, any alignment mistake or dust underneath would look bad. I'll wait for a decent discount or buy it second hand. No rush. Also not paying 275€ for the AMG One.
  19. Yes, the leaf springs appear in this military truck: https://decadastore.com/products/df-21d-c56031w
  20. That Katana looks pretty good and the price is more than acceptable. Glad the Suzuki license was not a one-time thing with the Jimny. But I think the decorations are mostly stickers even though the renderings appear to be prints.
  21. Not just cool, but sehr cool :) Wish TLG would also re-release Model Team sets with the current part portfolio.
  22. Or back in the good old days, the A-model was made by one designer and the B-model by another.
  23. There are some new Technic parts available as of September on B&P from the LR and Peugeot:
  24. Great work with the B-model! I usually don't buy a second Technic set, but I might make an exception this time.
