So that's what was flying around my house . This is certainly a very unique creation, I especially like how you made the bow!
-
Well it's certainly looking better than it did before, but I think it still needs to be smoothed out a little bit, I like that you tried to use snot to add those grey slops on the side, however they still look kinda tacked on as do the engines. It might be better if you just used basic studs up construction to slope the vehicle overall. I also think the engines really need a bit more detailing perhaps try to design new engines without using the prefab engine piece as the base of the engines. I'm a conformist!!

Well thank you for taking the time to give me some helpful pointers Ralph. I can see where you're coming from and will try to make a camo vehicle of my own next, using some of your advice. Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed viewing them .

Actually I'm pretty sure it's the 21st here's the "Offical Dooms Day web site", and it's taking place in the deep south of the US who don't usually get that much snow. As for the guy in the basement he's prepared for the apocalypse, which is why he has a shot gun rations and a mlitary helmet.

Will December 21, 2012 be the doomsday of humanity, and that of our favorite building block? Brickshelf Mocpages C&C Welcome!

A very nice design I like the weapons you've given it and how compact it is. The gif was also a nice idea to present the SMP-T Dragon, however you should utilize a tripod or at least put the camera flat on a table so that it's not so shaky. I'd hate to have that thing pursuing me across the battlefield

What a cute little drone I can picture it scurrying around a hanger or some a small out post, doing what ever it's programed to.

Well I can't say that this is the best tank I've ever seen as there are a some issues with it, but it's not terrible. First to be honest this doesn't really seem like much of a tank ; rather it looks more like some sort of Light Armoured Fighting Vehicle, namely due to the big windshield. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as you can exploit this by adding plenty of little details to it that would have otherwise been covered with armor, but I think you should remove the dual lasers on the top of it as they seem way out of place, a smaller machine gun or something could be added to this vehicle instead. lastly I think you need to work out the colour scheme a bit as it looks really random at the moment, it would probably look better in all black or grey. I hope I don't come off as really hard on you since this isn't a bad moc it just needs a little improvement, and at one point we all built like this giving a bit more practice I'm sure you'll be able to top many of the other builders on here .

I really don't know much about Starcraft, I've only really seen some guys playing it on the computers in the school library, but this thing still looks very cool! I like how you managed to make it rounded, and armoured looking yet still organic. The little claws also are the best part.

Avatar MINIs: Scorpion Gunship and Valkyrie Shuttle
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The shuttle seems spot on, but the Scorpion just does seem a little bit too fat, and seems to be missing the open back. I think you should perhaps remove the current slopes that have the missiles attached to them and replace it with a gap to better mimic the movie, as the weapon systems just seem way to big as they are now. Still these are far better than I could ever manage! -
You've out done yourself with this Ralph S! So much detail has been packed into this thing, everything seems to be in the right place. I'd love to see you tackle a minifig scale one of these sometime.
-
A very action packed scene for sure! Although I feel it's missing some key element that I just can't put my finger on. The plane fuselage and ATV are my favorite parts, as this is a snow scene I think it may also benefit your MOC if it was placed on a white back drop rather than the black one you have now .

Wow! That thing is huge, just one suggestion I have for you would be to scrap out the interiors, if your planning on just having this thing on display then there is no real need for interiors as no one will ever really see them. Plus that would also free up a huge amount of bricks and time .

Hello and welcome to Eurobricks! For sorting your Lego I suggest sorting it by colour at least for now, you can buy some plastic drawers from Cosco Walmart, or any home store really.
-
Well that's a relief I thought you were trying to replace me, or pose as me . No but seriously next there'll be some guy called M-acK or something .
-
Well thanks for the comment Ralph S. I know that grey isn't the most realistic of military colours, but until Lego widely produces a suitable shade of dull dark green/olive in mass colours they'll have to stay that way. Being that you are one of the better military builders out there what would you suggest I do to make these "stand out" more?

Sadly this set is quite a bit out of my price range, but it certainly is one of if not the best pirate ship that Lego has ever sold. Could there have been a better way to end the Pirate theme I wonder? I swear I've seen some other guy around here with a name just like yours.
-
Yeah I've noticed the lack of comments here as well. Which is why I don't post all my mocs here any more, I found a different smaller forum to post instead. Anyways I'll put the warthog knock offs (the jeeps) on my to do list, and then I'l pm you once I get the pictures taken, m'kay? The different shades of grey are due to me mixing old and new grey together, which I'm glad you don't seem to mind.

To be honest I think you have your heart in the right place, but you're shooting a bit too high. As Legononymous suggested you'd be better off just building several smaller models and then selling them periodically. You do seem really dependant on donations, but I doubt that there would be enough people out there willing to donate so much Lego and money to you. I think you also may be over estimating the amount of people that would buy raffle tickets. You need a few thousand to actually make a bit of a difference, but unless you can get on the front page of all of those site plus some other general websites or newspapers you'll probably end up short. Also do you have any idea as to how your're going to ship such a large creation? Now I'm not saying don't go for it at all, but try to start small. Build up a bit of a reputation as an excellent Lego builder, sell a bunch of smaller models for $100 or less. Then once you have a little more of a fan base and experience you can up the scale a little bit more. You have to take into account that there are very few people who have several thousand dollars lying around, but there are many people that can afford to give a hundred or so. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Don't build big for the sake of building big, no one's going to want to dish out a huge amount of cash for a medicore diorama no matter how big, build small and build quality instead. Sorry for the rather long post just thought I'd get my two cents in. What ever you end up doing though I wish you the best of luck in it!

Well Gee, thanks for all the comments guys.
