Missing Parts in Collectable LEGO Minifigures
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Cardinal Brick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah unfortunately you may be out of luck. I think I read in the collectible minifig topic (or somewhere else) that during series one Lego did keep a bunch of spare collectible minifigs to use as replacements for anyone missing a piece, but Lego soon just sold these extra figures to try and keep up with demand. Still it can't hurt to pester TLG for a replacement part. Hopefully Lego learned from it's mistake and might still have a reserve of spare minifigures. -
There are lots of clever attachment methods here, although it must be rather fragile. You clearly put a lot of work into this.

It looks nice I like the swing and slide, but it seems to empty and plain. I think you should add the little rocks that they often have at playgrounds to give it a fuller look.
-
I'm pretty sure I've taken minifigures on planes before and I'm sure I'm not the only person to have done so. So I think your minifigs probably aren't going to be the highest ever, unless the record is taking them by foot only.

It looks ready to crush ewoks Brickdoctor the legs are really well done. Although the head seems a little bit small.

Aww... no Lego play area Those poor executives must be so bored while on the plane.

This is pretty good for a first attempt Admiral Ron. I would reccomend adding more details to the buildings and to the whole scene in general. I really like how you added debris to the road, but I think you should add more, and use smaller pieces for the debris so it looks more realistic.

As Thrund pointed out I don't think I've ever seen a knock off minifigure that could be easily mistaken for genuine minifigure. And for that matter I've never seen a clone brand Starwars set. Some people just have tons of money to buy certain sets in bulk and because of the price they can sell the minifigs for they have ample reason to do so.

Brickset just reported that series 2 is avaliable in Wal-mart now. If you want them you better get going!

I never knew Lego had private jets, guess you learn something new every day.

Yeah that game seems fairly low budget. I'm sure it's just to try and hype up a couple more kids for "Lego Games".
-
Oh I guess that makes sense though I thought we usually go with moc (My Own Creation). I use MOD to describe when someone modifies a set.
-
Does anyone know any stores that still stalk xbox games I've been on the lookout for Starwars BFI for a while now but can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm going to try Ebgames but are there any other good bets?

Yeah well that just means that their not spoiling the kid by buying them a 15-25 dollar set. 15-25 dollars a set will add up quite quick if the kid gets one every time they go, and whine for it at a store. My brothers like that though whenever he gets 3 or 4 dollars he thinks he can run out and buy a Lego set especially if he's got a couple of pennies on him as well . My mom usually does end up buying him a 5 dollar set though.

Too much corporate advertising perhaps? Urging you to spend spend spend just like in the holiday season? Who knows. I doubt this thread is going to get any where.

How to write an effective post
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Blackicep8ntball's topic in Forum Information and Help
awesome This is a good article I'm sure that it will be of use to some people. I have to admit I hate it when I see a bunch of comments on one of my mocs are just one liners. Though I myself do try my best to post at least a sentence or two on someone else's moc and include constructive criticism. -
That certainly looks like quite a generous fire place. But I do think it could be a lot more detailed as it looks rather plain at the moment. I'm sure you could come up with a way to make some nice brickwork, to give it a more impressive look.

Interesting my favorite picture of the bunch is the mime and cop. I must say Leego seems to have messed up the lifeguards torso, the skin colour isn't even close.
-
Had Germany won WWI the world would probably be much different. I think one of of the biggest differences would have been a lack of a Nazi rise to power.
-
Interesting ship Palms I really like the angles that you gave it. I'm curious as too what those tubes in the front of the ship are for. Are they guns or the actual ram? Either way they seem a bit to small and look as if they would snap off if the ship rammed something.

Instructions: F4U Corsair and SB2C Helldiver
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Ralph_S's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's interesting that these instructions have gone unnoticed, but then again I guess this isn't MOCpages Thanks for taking the time to do this Ralph. Although I'm not particularly interested in building either model I'll probably still look through the instructions to get ideas when I start building some war planes. -
That's pretty funny in a sad sort of way. I was just looking through the new Starwars sets on the site, and thought the only reasonably priced set was Cad Bane's speeder. I probably won't be picking that set up any time soon then if forty bucks isn't the real price.

Excellent work BlueBard I really like to see all of the little details and minifigs you put into the scene. It does seem a little small right now though. Are you planning to add more to it? Perhaps you could add a playground or something into it.
