Can u mix and dismantle your orignal LEGO sets?
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to The Eye's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ha ha this reminds me of me several years ago. I couldn't ever mix up the figures from my different Star Wars sets without feeling "dirty". I would actually have each set on display on the same dresser but I could never mix up the parts between them. When I finished playing with them I would be sure to put everything back with it's respective set when I had finished playing with it. Even with duplicate figures like stormtroopers I could tell which one went where due to small differences in the fading or printing on each figure. At least I've finally grown out of it and know allow all my figures and sets mix and mingle -

Indeed I was there a few days ago and noticed they actually had a few sets (not a lot but a few of the smaller sets), I bought the Wreak raider there. Now if only the Lego wasn't so expensive .

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Do they come with those little black stands? I might buy one or two of these just for fun, but having some of these rarer than others is definitely mean move from TLG, for everyone who plans on collecting all of these . The price also quite steep, being that these will be priced relativity the same as an impulse set which usually comes with several extra bricks and accessories. -
I remember the Lego Message boards! I used to post on there a bit. If I recall correctly the moderation was so uptight it would often take 3 days or so sometimes to get your message up (what if it was like that here? ). That and all the roleplaying games, and wishlists, plus the club pages or whatever they were called. Oh heres a quote: "Get him the Taj Mahal. I bet he'll have a blast. The world record for building that thing is 3 days. See if he could beat that time."

Thank you for all the comments! Yeah the power miners have some good heads for a scene like this. I did try my best to throw as many details in as I could. The picnic basket everyone's so fond of was actually a last minute addition, but I'm glad everyone likes it. If anyone wants to use it feel free although I would like credit were it's do. Indeed I think brickbuilt weapons are better than prefab as well, I've had the machine gun kicking around for a while as part of a rebel vehicle and decided to use it for this moc. Well actually that's supposed to be a mortar, I just had to use the fire pieces because i couldn't think of any other way to show it "firing".

Jim never has been too fond of ants after he had to watch his mother being carried away and eaten by 20,000 fire ants at the tender age if 5. After serving in the army Jim came back to start his own life and make a name for himself. One day he and his girlfriend decide to go on a picnic but in the midst of giving her flowers they soon find themselves surrounded by ants, however Jim with the help of some of his “souvenirs” from the army is determined to not let his girlfriend suffer the same fate as his dear old mother. Well the other day I was at TRU and they still haven’t restocked since Christmas, being that I had only $40 and that there were no good sets still in sealed boxes (some of them were ripped open!) I decided to buy the power functions motor kit. Anyways after a few hours of trial and error I’ve finally finished a small motorized car. It’s not the best MOC out there but it’s the first Technic one I’ve made, so please be nice. It can drive in a straight line has headlights and a firing cannon as a play features! I call it a sub car because the huge battery pack makes it look like a submarine, and the motor jutting out is like a propeller. \ Also I have a few questions for the more experienced Technic builders. This won’t damage the motor right? Sometimes it may hit a wall and then drive up against it and the motor can get dislodged or twisted about, that won’t fry the motor or anything right? Do general tips or tricks I should be aware off? Overall it was kind of fun making this and I hope to acquire more power functions in the future (like a remote and IR receiver). C&C welcome! Does Lego Purposely Increase Piece Count?
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Skull-Mark_Ladybug's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm pretty sure they used it in dark bley somewhere else in the year. Another example of extra pieces can be found in the new CITY repair truck as well where instead of a 1 by 8 they used a 1 by 6 and 1 by 2. I'd like to hear from someone on the "inside" regarding this topic as I've been wondering for a while now. Probably does have something to do with convience or avalibility though. -
I'm sure I'm not alone in noticing that in some Lego sets Lego decides to use two seperate pieces rather than just one piece to achieve the exact same effect. For example in the Magna guard Starfighter I bought a short while back ago I noticed that instead of using just a 4 by 6 plate they used two 2 by 6 plates instead. This just got me to wondering if this is to perhaps increase the piece count a bit since so many of us judge a set by the number of pieces it has, and therefore by adding a few more pieces it may increase sales by a bit. In the long run this really probably doesn't make a difference, but is there any other reason they do this? It may be to cut costs but technically they would need to use more plastic and mold two pieces per set rather than just one so it probably would still cost about the same. Thoughts, ideas, or am I just crazy?

That's a nice Armoured Brigade you have although it would suck to be one of the escourting infantry perhaps they could use a snow mobile or something. I love the tracks and footprints in the snow while you made no footprints putting them there; how did you manage that? Are they all placed up on a ledge or a table?

Well actually before Christmas they sometimes do they had the Emerald Night Train Grand Carousel and LAAT Dropship and Walker at my local store. Maybe next Christmas they might start stalking this years special sets again .

I was at the mall yesturday and it was rather pathetic the selection that wal-mart and Zellers had (no more than ten boxes of Lego each ). TRU was alright it had all the Toy Story sets *except Army Men on Patrol which it was sold out), still bought two Atlantis sets and the Traveler impluse though. Does anyone know when the new airport sets are coming out?

What a crappy job to have ! Very nice scene lots of attention to detail and action in it.

Isn't it double printed though? So you may be limited in his potential head wear, still a good head none the less.
