Pet peeve: Congratulating Finders Instead of Builders
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Lasse D's topic in Community
Not to name names but I do find making a new thread for every nice moc you find to be rather redundant. Especially considering that as Ralph S noted the actual builder of the moc isn't likely to see it. However being that the mocs in question do tend to be amazing, and could be missed by our community otherwise. I think a single dedicated thread for each theme pertaining to the brilliant mocs that are found outside of Eurobricks would be the best. This would also have the benefit of eliminating the comments complementing the finder rather than the builder. -
As usual wonderful work Ralph S you're ability to recreate military vehicles is unsurpassed. The nose and tail are the main high lights of this build for me. I never knew that some cockpit canopies opened like the Su-24's, were there other planes that had canopies like that? I'll definitely be looking over your builds next time I attempt a fighter.

Welcome to Eurobricks Ninja Nin, thanks for showing this excellent moc with us. You've really captured the essence of the Piranha plant, do you have plans add more to this? Perhaps some Goombas to compliment your Mario.

Thanks for the wonderful review Final Exit! I've been waiting for more pictures of the interior and minifigs of this set. It looks remarkably similar to the Agents Mobile Command Center with a bit of a sci-fi twist. I'll certainly consider buying this set when I see it in stores that jet fighter in particular looks really nice as are all the features and details.

Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
After reading through Isla Paradisa, I'd be a fool not to want to join a Maifa School game . 1) I won't be travelling anytime soon. 2) I have yet to particapate in any Mafia game. 3) My favorite animal "meows", but monkeys are a close second. -
Excellent MOC Etzel you're proficient at mountain building, you're dead tree isn't too shabby either. The only thing that I don't love about this dio is the werewolf's placement which looks a bit odd in that he's just causally running across the mountain.

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
My compliments to you Sandy, and the rest if the cast as well. This game is very well done, and interesting to watch. I regret not joining Isla Paradisa, but I will definitely be looking forward to the next Mafia School sign up . -
New Smaller Reduced LEGO Box Size?
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Skull-Mark_Ladybug's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh whoops my bad. I just assumed that the discussion was better suited for General Lego themes; I didn't see the Star Wars thread. As for the topic at hand I definitely think that it's a good idea to save money and trees. I certainly do hope that this results in lower prices for some of us as I recall that shipping costs were partially to blame for the huge price discrepancies outside the US. -
Well you can try contacting Lego to see if they can send you a replacement which may or may not work. Or you can just order the whole assembly off of Bricklink

Toys N Bricks just posted this article: "Forum member cowbug reports seeing a new smaller reduced box size for LEGO Star Wars 8093 Plo Koon’s Starfighter (there may be more) at his local Wal-Mart in USA. He also reports that there is a new barcode for the new smaller box one. This may be the beginning of TLG’s effort in reducing their LEGO boxes. In reality, most of these boxes are way to big in the first place. By making the boxes smaller, LEGO can probably save on shipping and packaging materials. But of course, LEGO will have a tougher time selling them with smaller boxes. Afterall, putting 7749 Echo Base into a battlepack box size will probably not sell as well." Full Toys N Bricks article including Picture So do you guys think Lego is taking a step in the right direction?

I've never noticed this with a black piece, but I've noticed this a lot with my newer white pieces if I hold almost any white plate or brick up to the light it appears translucent. As a matter of fact I'm sure this is not the first time something like this has been reported, it obviously shows a trend that Lego is using thinner plastic. Regarding if this was a manufacturing error; as long as it still grasps other pieces well it should be fine though it wouldn't hurt to push TLG for a replacement if you can.

As usual Ezechielle your skills in portraying the grim scenes of war seem unmatched. Your brillant use of yellowed bricks is worth noting, and the ruins of the building are very well done.

They really ought to make a law against building something this awe inspiring. You've managed to recreate so many little details from the real ship and were even able to add in some motorized features which makes it even more impressive. I also like you're addition of the Sea King helicopter. Bloody good job all around soundwave!

2011 LEGO Boardgames News & Discussion
Skull-Mark_Ladybug replied to Oky's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm intrigued by these new sets. I can't wait to learn more about them, but I can definitely see myself picking some up for the parts if nothing else. -
Thank you for the comments! I'm glad you like the Chencov. As for a group picture I may be able to post something at some point, but for right now I still have a few other individual mocs to present.

The mobile missile platform is excellent at keeping the skies clear and doubles as medium artillery It comes standard with suspension, and holds a crew of two Firing mode Brickshelf C&C welcome!

I think I also read somewhere that Lego is starting to plastic wrap instructions, so hopefully they'll be nice enough to also slip the stickers inside the manuals. As for the duplicate sticker sheets I think that might have been a packing error, but I would love to be wrong, as the extra stickers would be really handy for mocs.

You've got quite a literal interpretation on a beetle, eh? I think you could try to model top of the VW beetle a bit better to get the point across better. Maybe with a couple transparent plates and some yellow tiles, and cheese slopes.
