Thanks Someone made the same comment on Flickr, and then I checked, and noticed there are two different panels, one for each side...

Here's a short video of my last motorized project (topic here) Sadly, my BuWizz brick don't work properly anymore. Battery is dead, hence the usb wire on the video to power the brick. And more importantly, if I use two control at the same time, the brick just stop, and I need to cut the power and restart it. That said, I can still use it in some projects.

A little something I build during the year. It was a first experiment with PF functions that went pretty well and taught me a lot. Functions are: - rotating rotors - 4 linked rotating propulsors - opening/closing side doors - lights on front "wings" Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Komodo Heavy Dropship by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr

A few years ago I rebuilt the #6781 SP -Striker from my childhood, maybe my favorite Lego set of all time, and I've been wanting to rebuilt it with more modern parts while keeping the original shapes, proportions and of course light function. The build went quite easily and only took a few hours, but the lighting system was quite challenging. My first idea was to use PF lights, but it was a failure. In the end, I'm using 3 light bricks: a white/yellow for the cockpit console, and two red ones for the main lights. A knob allows to switch the lights on and of (I'll try to make a picture of the mechanism). I also had to redesign the cell pod, again trying to keep the same size and shape. I added a M-Tron magnet on top because magnets are cool! And that allows me to secure the pod at the back of the Striker without using clips. Hope you like it as much as I do :) SP - Striker by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr SP - Striker by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr SP - Striker by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr SP - Striker by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr SP - Striker by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Space Police by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Space Police by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr

Digital Builders vs. IRL Builders
Bob De Quatre replied to Eggyslav's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Ok, before closing this thread that leads nowhere, exactly as all other threads about the subject, I'll make an answer. First, I'll say that I've been an LDD builder for years, and posted a lot of digital MOCs that I considered like good builds... I didn't have much money at the time, and couldn't afford to buy Lego. What I learnt during those years is that people think that building digitally is easy and that it is kind of cheating. That was a fact back then, that's still a fact, you won't change it no matter how many time you talk about it. You have to accept it. I started buying some sets, some piles of bricks on flea markets, get my old bricks back from my parents. And I started building with bricks. Now I have a good amount of bricks, a room almost dedicated to the hobby and a photo studio that cost me like 30€... But I still use LDD almost every day. Anyway, being a real brick or an LDD MOC: posting in a subforum that isn't much frequented won't bring you lots of comments (try making Star Wars digital MOCs if you want views and comments ;) ) a bad MOC is a bad MOC (and the definition of bad will vary a lot between people) a badly presented MOC is a badly presented MOC (having dirty floor or kitchen in the background or just a plain LDD screenshot) nowadays, people post less and less comments (thanks facebook "like" button!) My advice would be to take that time to render your MOCs with Bluerender. You said you don't want to spend some time to do some renders, but yet you spend time arguing in a topic that won't make anyone change his mind about digital MOCs. If you really want to change people's opinion on digital MOCs, start by presenting your MOCs in the best way, put some effort in them apart from "just" building the MOCs. -

[MOC] Hercules and the Erymanthian Boar
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks -
Built for BrickPirate's november challenge about mythology. After having built Hercules and the Hydra of Lerna last year, I immediately knew that for this contest I would build another of the twelves Hercules labor. The Erymanthian Boar was a fearsome animal in Greek mythology. Capturing it alive was one of the tasks that King Eurystheus asked the demigod hero Heracles to complete during the story of the Labours of Heracles. The boar was a giant creature living on Mount Erymanthos, a region sacred to the goddess of hunt Artemis. When the boar would reach the farmlands, it would lay waste and destroy everything in its passing. The capturing of such a fearsome animal was not an easy task, and this is why Eurystheus chose it as the fourthlabour of Heracles. The hero set forth and initially visited a centaur who was a friend of his; his name was Pholus. The two friends had lunch and then decided to open a jar of wine; after opening it, the smell attracted all the centaurs of the mountain. They all started drinking, notrealising that the wine should be mixed with water first, as was customary in ancient Greece. So, they became drunk and started attacking. Heracles shot poisonous arrows against them and the drunken centaurs retreated. Pholus was curious as to why the arrows were fatal, and while examining one, he also got poisoned. According to one account, an arrow also mistakenly hit the centaur Chiron, who, although immortal, was still able to feel the pain. So, he asked the gods to lose his immortality, and replace the Titan Prometheus who was chained on a mountain top where an eagle ate his liver daily. So it happened, and the eagle continued to eat Chiron's liver until it was shot down by Heracles. Heracles then asked Chiron how to catch the boar; Chiron said that he should lure it intothick snow, thus making it difficult for the animal to move. Heracles followed the centaur's advice and managed to capture the animal. He then took it back to the court of Eurystheus, who upon seeing it, was so scared that he hid inside a huge jar and asked Heracles to get rid of it.

Thanks guys Btw I've made a police version of that mech, and I'll display them (I made 2!!) in a future city collaborative diorama I'm working on for the end of september. I'll probably post it before though. To answer your question (and other's), I liked the idea of a running mechas championship. It's completely stupid (why use legs and not wheels?).

Thanks guys

@Jody Meyer, @Mesabi I'm just overwhelmed by my new job, and the little Lego time I have, I spend it building things for two upcoming conventions... I need to take a few days to work on AG2, finish the rules and more importantly update the software... I just can't find those few days for now. But if you want to build for AG, just build, you don't really need a bunch of rules and all, just build.
