  2. Even if I didn't comment on each single topic, I'm really liking the fleet you've assembled. Well done ZC
  3. The Artemis is a long range starfighter built by the Mars Corporation. Its main weapon is a high density laser beam, powered by a powerfull generator. The two thrusters of the Artemis allow it to fly up to the outer atmosphere of Mars and target objectives in low orbit. Another build in my Mars Corporation building theme. The Artemis was my entry to the Bricklink building contest... I posted renders earlier, but finally took the time to take some pictures of the real thing. 4. The Persephone buggy is Mars Corporation's main escort vehicle. It's powerfull engine and big wheels adapted to the martian ground give the Persephone the ability to run at high speed on long distance. It is also equiped with a rotating plasma riffle. Another build in my Mars Corporation building theme. It was just supposed to be a quick small build to accompany two others which should be posted shortly (Ares and Dionysus) Persephone by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Persephone by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Persephone by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Persephone by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Persephone by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Persephone by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr
  5. The colors are completely different... and that ruins the minifig for me :(
  6. The solution on the SW Solo speeder works pretty well too. I'm considering running a small challenge in the Sci-Fi forum, where participant will have to build what could be small sets of a Sci-Fi racing theme. @Henchmen4Hire actually started that just two posts above ;) If you are interested, I'll work on some simple rules and create a dedicated topic.
  7. There's no such thing as weird bright color in space ;)
  8. The Aerial Enforcer is a multipurpose assistance frigate that can carry a large range of missions, from military reinforcement to medical assistance. It carries 4 standard Blacktron pods and one advanced pod. Those can be deployed to assist Blacktron forces in battle or recover equipments or spacecraft that have lost their pods. The Aerial Enforcer can also transport some Universal Pod Enhancement (UPE). The UPE attach to a pods, giving him new abilities, like more firepower, speed, detection sensors, etc. The UPE loaded on the frigate depends on its mission. It also carries a landing module that can be filled with the needed equipment. The module is unmaned and needs a pod to reach the surface. Once on the ground, the module will deploy a sentinel rover for protection until the Blacktron troops can reach it. This is my second entry to Brick Pirate's challenge. I had a lot of fun building this Blacktron 2 ship. I wanted to keep lots of the BT2 features while using a modern building style. The pods were the obvious part, I had to include them as the major playing feature. 9. Thanks... but you're aware that I have the power frontpage anything I want You're the second person to tell me this, so I guess it's true
  10. The Ice Explorer is a one-manned spaceship designed to convey planet survey from low orbit. It's powerful radar is able to map large areas of a planet in a single flight. Two containers allow the Ice Explorer to deploy on orbit up to two surveillance satellites or to recover damaged ones. My first entry for Brickpirate's spaceship challenge. It was great building an Ice Planet MOC, and I used this as an opportunity to use parts I don"t use often like old parts from back then, Technic panels, Bionicle, Duplo and... a rubber eraser. 14. @blueshift12 Some of your pictures are broken! Can you correct them asap please?
  15. Maybe you could still finish your entry, even if it will be too late for the contest. I'm very interested to see what you built When the deadline is reached, I'll compile the entries and post a voting thread with a list of all entries and explainations on how to vote.
  16. You jsut have to copy the BBCode from Flickr and paste it directly in the message here on EB.
  17. It's that new space logo from the new theme :(
  18. If you like supercar Technics models, with lots of functionnalities, or if just want to make a good action, be sure to read this story of two of Eurobricks dear members @grum64 and @Jeroen Ottens. An auction is running for the model you can see just below, and 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Fairy Bricks charity.
  19. Since I now know that I won't be able to process the entries before the 23rd... I concur that adding a bit more time is ok. End of the contest is now April 28th!
  20. @Modeltrainman Sorry, I overlooked your posts and forgot to answer your questions... twice... No excuses.... :( Anyway, could you edit your title to respect the format stated in the rules? Besides that, you changed every bricks' color from your MOC, which wasn't the spirit of the contest. Maybe you should have kept the original color in the body of the train and only change the colors of the wheels and front*...
  21. Only a few days left... ...and not so many entries
  22. I forgot to mention something... Every time I'm building a set and I can't find a part, I say to my girlfriend "Oh there's a part missing!". Now she knows that the part is there somewhere, hidden behind another part, or sometimes just in front of me but I can"t see it... That set was different, as I couldn"t find a part because it was the wrong part in the sealed bag! On the left is the Technic part that should have been in the set, and on the left is the one I got. Do you had the same problem with the set?
  23. Introduction The Lego Movie 2 is in theather since the end of February, and of course we were flooded with promotionnal product, goodies and a bunch Lego sets. Looking at these sets early, I was very interested in the Pop-Ip Party Bus, because of its colors, the overall roundness and the cool parts I could spot here and there (that's the MOCer in me speaking). Let's see if the set actually meet my expectations! At this time, I still haven't seen the movie, so please forgive that I may be wrong on some points. Thanks to EB and the LEGO CEE Team and Designers for giving me the opportunity to review this set! Set information Name: 70828 Pop-Up Party Bus Theme: The Lego Movie 2 Year: 2019 Pieces: 1024 Price: $79.99, GBP 79.99, 89.99€ Resources: Brickset, BrickLink Packaging The set comes in a rather big box, with a Lego Movie 2 livery. The front shows the bus in its two configurations: in drive mode, fully closed and with the winglets deployed, and in fully opened state, with light on. As usual, the back of the box depicts all the play features. Content of the box Once opened, the box gives us a 171 pages instruction manual, a rather small sticker sheet (we'll discuss about it later in the review), 8 numbered bags of parts, and a loose big trans-purple canopy piece. Many people, including me, reported that the big tranparent part was scratched when they opened the box... I think Lego should pack these kind of parts in a separate bag to avoid the problem! Build The building process is rather simple, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I really enjoyed building the set, and it felt like almost half of the parts are either new or in a new color! Here are pictures of the build after each bag (two pictures for bag #7). The completed build looks very sleek and smooth, with the colored lines reaching from the top to the sides. The trans dark purple parts really stands out on the white and teal. The front of the bus can be detached, allowing Zebe to take it's place on the driver seat. The top canopy can be flipped open, but whoever took this place will be flipped over at the same time, which feels a bit werd. Let's now take a look at the Party Bus fully opened! With the Disco bal standing high above and the foldable speakers on the sides! Melody can dance on the upper dancefloor while Tempo plays the music. Disco Kitty can sho her dancing skills on the two rotating dancefloor on the lower level of the bus. These uses a new kind of 2x2 turntables and of course new gear wheels that are a plate high and have studs on one side. Turning the big thruster on the back of the bus will make the inner dancefloor spin, and pushing on it will trigger the light brick! It's ligh will pass through an Elves half dragon egg piece that also rotate and will splash the light like a disco ball. On the plus side, the bus also have two small wings on the sides that can be lifted or lowered. These are well integrated in the build. On the minus side are the stickers... again... Especially the bg one on the side, showing an important color variation. We know TLG has problems with white bricks, so it's no surprise white stickers don't do well either. Minifigures The Party Bus comes with two brickbuilts figures: Disco Kitty and Zebe. The later make use of some nice new pieces, and has a very nice printed "torso". Unikitty looks as fun as always in her disco livery, and her high boots. Two friends minifigures are also part of the set: Melody and Tempo. TThese are very nice, with their exclusive and bright hair parts. I'm already imagining using Tempo as a starfighter pilot! Interesting parts I didn't took a picture of all the interesting parts in the set... because I want to keep it intact for now... But just take a look at the set's inventory on Bricklink. Of course all the trans dark purple canopies and rounded wall elements are exclusives to this sets, as are the 4 minifigs, and... Ok let's just look at numbers! The set has 1024 pieces, divided into 259 different parts, 45 of wich are noted as new on Bricklink, and 33 being exclusives (for now) to this set! I'm very impressed by the new coral color, it looks very vibrant and colorful. Pictures don't do it justice. Conclusion Design: 8/10 - A nice design, with lots of playing areas and functionalities for a set of this size. Parts: 10/10 - The first time I ever gave a 10 in this category! Lots of nice colors, lots of new parts, lots of new parts in new colors! Four exclusive minifigures, counting the brickbuilt ones. Build: 7/10 - A simple build but yet using some nice techniques. Price: 7/10 - With a ppp of 0,078€, this set is rather average, but the part inventory is realy worth it. Overall: 32/40 (80%) - A really cool set if you like Disco and the 70's... Or if you like good Lego sets, cool parts and cool colors!
