Welcome to the madness of Eurobricks. I am sure you will find loads of great technic builds to look through.

Welcome to the crazy house, what themes tickle your fancy?

Tombclone Welcome fellow Eurobrickers to the start of my Western series. Today I present two MOCs from the town of Tombclone. It is highly recommended that all town members carry a firearm at all times due to the likelihood of gittin shot inna back. First up we have the Tombclone Saloon, a shiftier, surlier place of corruption you will not find. In fact it appears to be high noon and a showdown over a gold claim is about to draw blood. In this town the law is a necessity, what with gold claims, disputes and general frontier hardship the Sheriff's office is a busy place. Take a look around but be sure not to loiter. Pictures are links to higher resolution images. I plan to add to this topic as I create more features for Tombclone. Don't forget to check out TheBricksters Gravestone series or Legohaulic's Western MOCs which were both a great source of inspiration. Also if anyone would like to photoshop some desert landscape onto the pics (hint hint) go ahead, pretty please. Full Tombclone Gallery

My new Lego room is half complete. Here is a pic of my new storage, had fun building it with the incorrect instructions. I can fit up to 4 large tubs in each hole, so its nowhere near full yet. There is loads of rubbish in the 4 drawers too. This isn't all of it though Further to Blackmoor's post. In each of the coloured drawers I have: 1x1 modified plates, tiles and cheese 1x2 tiles 2x2 tiles bley and dark bley tiles reddish brown 1x4 and 1x6 tiles all other coloured tiles 1x1,1x2,1x3 plates of all colours headlights 1x1 round plates 1x1 round bricks (i love this drawer) small and large bley and dark bley plates. In the tubs, for the most part are single coloured plates and bricks. There is a full tub of 1x2 bley bricks and a tub full of black roof slopes too. The rarer colours live in takeaway containers. Trees etc are in drawers, figures are still unsorted... Dark Knight, your storage is great but way too organised for me, I still like the "thrill of the chase" when looking for parts. Cheers ISC.

Some nice modifications on what is a nice set. I admit mine has been pulled apart already, but I may remake it one day in this vein. Cheers for the pics, very nice and detailed. The final shot is , I must learn how to take a dark pic like that one day, or is it a photoshop technique?

Looks really nice Matn. I think the trees need some more snow or foliage though. A nice creation from a great book, cheers.

Welcome aboard Chris. I found your post in the Age group topic very informative indeed. You have a tough job moding MOCpages that's for sure. I hope to meet up in person when I head over for BW2010. Just about to peruse your Tanneth Incident series. Cheers and thanks for commenting on some of my creations before, best avatar ever! Go AAA! ISC.

I would like to see if there is anything in the safe of interest then, and stay away from the poop too! -

I would like to investigate the other ? square and look underneath to see what is inside, then grab it out and look at it -

With the help of some strapping young women men, I would like to help lift the newly discovered statue into its rightful place on the right hand pedestal. All the time staring at Sylvia and humming Zelda noises. -

Status Update. 1. The hole in the bottom of the column that's under construction. We stuck the little key in there, but it didn't do anything. Do we have anything else that we might be able to insert into that hole? CHECK 2. The stone that Chris Owen brought with him - where did it come from anyway, Chris? - it fit into that "missing piece" square on the map, and we heard something happen, but what? Yes what happened? 3. The question mark stones: we've spent a lot of time on the stone by the altar, but has anyone checked the other one recently? Check 4. The stone puzzle on the back wall. Perhaps if more than one person could help Jack figure out how to get the bricks into that pattern and fit into the alcove. Maybe there are more clues hanging around to solve that one, that we haven't found yet. Perhaps Siegourney could ask the ghost of her father about it... Looking good 5. The statue puzzle. Well, we can't solve this until we find another statue, I suppose... 6. The tiles marked 1 and 2 on the map: We've tried two different solutions to this puzzle. Surely, there must be more.[/i] Working on it Great work on the SNOT rocks guys! I will be the other person to stand on the "2" closest to the altar. However we probably need two people to then stand on the ? squares as well. -
Tis the season for Western! You and I seem to think alike at the moment Kris. I have built two western buildings so far for my town and logged in today to see you beating me to the punch. I had been toying with the idea of a train station and water tower as well, but now it just looks like copying. Your station is beautiful, I love the dark tan tiles accompanying the station. The Saloon and Hotel are nicely done. I have used your wall technique on the saloon before and it is quite a striking effect here, well done. The horse drawn cart is really nice, and I am curious how you built the water tower and made the stickers for the signs, PM me if you wish to share your secrets Great stuff mate

I shall volunteer to stand on the "2" closest to the center statue (left if you will) and my esteemed Nerd shall therefore have to stand on the southern (right) "2" I also wish to take a photo of the presence in the room please. -

With the help of another member of our tour, I would like to simultaneously stand on one of the dark grey spots on the floor/map marked 2. I am also worried that the three spots marked "red X" are booby trapped so I would suggest we don't stand on those just yet. -

That box is more than a little damaged in my opinion. However CC is a great set and for that price its worth snapping up. As for Taj, I would only get it on severe mark down for parts, though you may like it to display so I don't know. -
Wow a Mandarin Battle pack, hope they are still ripe! Mmmmmm, juicy. Seriously, I would much rather see an Endor Battlepack series. They would be far more recognisable than Mandolorians. However, since its nearly a full year before we will even see a new wave of Battlepacks I choose to divert my energies and wishes elsewhere for at least 6 months, and stock up on the Hoth ones for now. OT On! Old fart signing off.

Just wishful thinking I guess I agree that we should try the torches in the hands of the statues. -

All men are pigs! Looking at Johnson. I wish to grab a torch after being satisfied that my stroking hasn't revealed any hidden torch traps. Does anyone have a way to light the torches? Could be useful. -

I wish to stick my left hand into the hidden chamber and feel around. unless of course it is big enough for me to enter, then in that case I would like to look inside. -

It looks like the statue on the left is pointing. I would like to search the front left column for anything interesting. -
You really had me worried on this one. When I read the title all I saw was Plaza de TORSOs! I thought you had created a massacre in the ol mexico town. Looks quite nice, I assume if you were to make a full bullfighting ring it could have torsos everywhere!

Macro function does help, its usually a flower icon i believe. The other technique I use if you have enough megapixels is to take the photo further away and then crop the picture down to the MOC, this will generally keep the target area in focus and still result in a clear picture that is large enough to show detailing too. Good luck and enjoy playing with your camera.

Hi samuraiturtle, from what I can see in your pics, it looks like a nice creation The photos themselves need better lighting etc to really emphasize all the nice features of your creation. Here is a tutorial made by Hinckley that may help. Your photos remind me of some of my first MOC pictures on Eurobricks as well. I by no means use a setup as complicated as Hinck, merely utilising natural light and white floor and backgrounds (cardboard or poster board) to get much brighter results. With just a little help you may be able to produce much nicer crisper photos of creations that you love, and show them to us all. Cheers ISC.

Wow, this is a large castle design with a really functional interior featuring loads of features from most sets, bravo! The exterior looks rugged and uninviting with lots of nice towers. What's going on with the AT-AT in a boat invading? Great job all round to you and your partner.
