  1. 3 Accessories are ok even if they are brick-built (piece count doesn't matter) Just be realistic as to what could fit into a polybag.
  2. ISC dons the shiny boots to begin the butt-kicking Well where to start, nah just joking. A really nice creation. I would like to see a less rectangular base, or even a built baseplate like Derfel has started using. Try using headlight bricks with tiles on them to rough up the walls, add a few holes in the stonework as well. Try the log bricks in grey as well and dark grey plate rather than bricks. you could even try slopes next to each other one side one plate higher to create a crack in the wall. The top timber looks good the way its falling away. The ground detail and trees look nicely done. Good stuff.
  3. A very vibrant bustling scene. Lovely action and accesories for the characters help to lift the run-down nature of the building. My only gripe is the thickness of the stone wall, it kind of feels stuck between too thick for a wall and not thick enough for two walls and an interior. The cheese roof is quite nice as well.
  4. A lovely LDD rendition of a castle, looking at the first two pictures I thought it was made with real bricks for a moment. Great stuff loaded with patience.
  5. This is a brief rundown for Category C Please have fun with this category but lets eliminate specific religions and racial slurs from entries. The minifigs are meant to be crude, rude and lewd, but Eurobricks will not stand for Racial or Religious villification. So if you wish to make terrorist entries etc that is fine and well within the spirit of the competition but using the N-word etc is frowned upon. Thanks to lisqr for editing your entry. I realise that perhaps we weren't specific enough in our rules wording and thank you for pointing these things out to us. The Staff are always available to discuss anything on Eurobricks with members, so don't hesitate to contact us. I will place an addendum in the rules for Category C for all to see. Remember to build and have fun with all three categories. Cheers ISC.
  6. You may use one or two extra figures in Category A, but they need to be interacting with the imaginary Series 3 figure, not to mention there isn't a lot of room on a 8x8 anyway. No problem with building smaller than 16x16, just don't go larger. I am confused, which category are you asking about? For Category B you need a figure from Series 1 and 2 interacting with an imaginary Series 3 figure. Category C requires new original figs, Category A can use extra figs interacting with the imaginary fig as well.
  7. Some minor adjustments to the rules. Looking good so far Iz and Taz!
  8. Great scene. Ever since reading an X-men story about the Wendigo I have been intrigued about the mythical nature of the man who transforms into a monster. I do recall the movie starred the guy from Full Monty and one of the James Bond movies, Eric Carlisle I think. Great job on the snow and the little cabin windows look great.
  9. What an amazingly detailed collaborative effort! Love the style of the castle, the lovely town centre the large dwarven mine and all the greenery. Just a lot to take in all at once.
  10. Seems around the 16th of December
  11. Mr Offset aka Dave Scalone, has kindly given permission for me to share his amazing Hogwarts castle built over the last year evolving at each Australian event. It sits on a footprint of 25 baseplates and looks amazing! Complete with Hogsmeade station and beautifully scultped towers. Photo edit by UNSC Marine More on Flickr
  12. Take a look at the breathtaking Western display from Australia's Brickvention just run last weekend in Melbourne Victoria. Dr Rod and other members of SYDLug have posted these pictures in the Western discussion thread but they really deserve more exposure to show some of the amazing details they have achieved with this display, winning the Peoples Choice award. More on Flickr Cheers ISC (SYDLug wannabe)
  13. There is its just somewhere special. Look along the top tool bar next to calendar is set index which contains all of the Sci-Fi sets and Star Wars as well if I am not mistaken. Siegfried started with Sci-fi and plans to have all reviews from all forums in the Siegdex soon. I accessed 6990 yesterday and found two reviews. So type in the set number or name. Cheers ISC.
