  1. Thanks Daniel I'm only used to the exremis comics so its taking sometime to sort of Cinematic Universe material and comic material
  2. Thats interesting and good to know! On another note
  3. I'm not all that convinced that there has to be a set number of sets between the two themes? I don't think there is a 1:1 correlation between DC and Marvel. It is still too early in the themes to say anything for sure, but IMO LEGO will be making sets for each Marvel movie coming out (at least I sure hope so ).
  4. Maybe TLG only released 3 sets for IM3 because they have allocated some time for Thor 2 sets coming up in the fall? It would make more sense as to why we only got $12, $20, and $40 sets in this wave.
  5. Saw Jack the Giant Slayer on Friday and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't go in with very high hopes, but it was a fun movie and put a nice twist on the classic story.
  6. I completely agree. It looks more "comicy". It also bugs me when people do minifigure review Youtube videos and don't bother to put the hairpiece on straight to start the video
  7. Great start! I really like the long arms on Gleek The only "tip" I can offer for this is that for me it has always worked best when starting with a really small drill bit and working up to the desired size. Can't wait to see the final product!
  8. As I said on Flickr it looks great! Good job my friend
  9. I don't really see why that would be a better nod to the comics? "Amazing" is already a nod to the longest ran Spider-Man title. Plus having the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show I can't see them using that for a movie anytime soon.
  10. I think I will wait until Thursday to order them from S@H, but thanks for the links
  11. I guess I can see where you're coming from, however my 7 year old brother can grasp the concept that the female croc (sorry I don't know names) is manipulating Cragger and that he really isn't evil. I think you may be looking to far into it and, to the target age group, those deeper concepts of racism and how all the cros are being portrayed are completely lost.
  12. Exactly I fully expect ASM to eventually blow Raimi's movies out of the water!
  13. Could somebody good a photoshopping please do some work on the Mk 42 armor so we can see what it looks like with gold arms and gold legs?
  14. I've been thinking Sinister Six as well however Black Cat is not really a villain per-say, Venom only joined the Six for a brief stint, and is it even possible to have a Sinister Six without Doc Ock? Then again accuracy has never been a major issue when making superhero movies so I guess we wait and see I'm also in the corner for Garfield over McGuire for Parker, but I think it is still to early to say that ASM is better than the Raimi films. I do like what I am seeing so far though
  15. This Purist Superhero page is pretty popular here on the pages and really interesting so maybe take a look there Avengers 2 is two years away so it seems a little silly to be in serious discussions about it now. Back on topic...As I said in the 2013 rumors page, I really hope for another Iron Man 3 set that would include some of Tony's suit from his Iron Legion. I know it is an incredible long shot at this point but it would be amazing nonetheless
  16. I was thinking of switching the legs out for gold ones as well. I know that it wouldn't be printed, but the suit definitely needs more gold!
  17. I just assume that we will be getting sets for Thor. I am more interested to see if there are any exclusives that LEGO has been hiding to keep major spoilers from spilling out. I mean Disney/Marvel had those suit pictures removed pretty fast from the website, and we have had sets sneak up on us in the past so I am not losing hope yet!
  18. Now that suit is just about perfect! Removed all the ASM weird things, adopted some of the Raimi look, and FINALLY corrected the mask Can't wait for some close ups!
  19. If you scroll down the link there are pictures of the Hulkbuster armor and the Space Suit I really wish LEGO made those suits!
  20. Heard some pretty interesting rumors about some future Marvel stuff! (Avengers 2 and 3 rumors included, so avoid if you don't to read speculation) Again all this is just rumor at this point in time, but if it does turn out to be true I am definitely excited for the next 5 years of Marvel movies!
  21. I thought you were pointing to the first picture, but didn't want to assume My initial post was just really excited about the mask, and from what we can see in the picture the suit is looking pretty good. Hopefully Spidey loses the "gym shoes" he was wearing in the first. That's definitely a possibility, but I think that more than likely whoever the character was will play a larger role in the movie. I know on some other forums people were suggesting it could be Mysterio, or Chameleon but everything at this point is still just speculation.
  22. I also thought Raimi's was the best suit up until this point. From the picture it looks like those weird lines were removed, but I can't really tell for sure since it doesn't show a whole lot. The first picture they showed in the article is from the first movie, so it isn't the new one. This newest one looks a lot like Raimi's suit, except I think the mask is far superior. The eyes on this mask are the closest we have come to the comics, in my opinion. I agree about Electro though. Should be fun, but definitely not one of my personal favorites. It also doesn't answer the question of who the person was in Dr. Conners cell after the credits? It has also been rumored that the Rhino will be in the movie, and that Venom will play some sort of role either in this film, or that he will have his own film in the future.
  23. That suit The article asked the question if this is the most comic accurate suit we have seen so far, and the answer is YES! If only LEGO and Sony could work out some kind of agreement
  24. Don't think TLG would really be all in on building a "nuclear bomb truck"
  25. That's what I am chalking it up to as well. That's the only excuse I can give them for Mk 42 and the Mandarin On another note: Seeing RDJ at the Academy Awards show solidifies the FACT that he really is the perfect Tony Stark Can't wait to get that minifigure!
