Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Spider-Man replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ant-Man and Dr. Strange are in phase 3 of Marvel so its' still a little ways away to begin speculation on those kinds of sets Edit: Just noticed that was your first post! Welcome to Eurobricks! Ya I'm a diagnosed suffer of color deficiency (not totally color blind) so I sometimes miss stuff like that I was also just brainstorming and thought maybe it was paying homage to the comics but I'm done with that silly thinking and back on board the Mk 5 team -

Ah well then disregard that comment! And I also really hope there is another set as well. I said earlier on this page that maybe the "Marvel 4" set could potentially be a larger exclusive, hopefully its in the $100 range -
So is this where I type what I'm thinking?

Not that it matters but this Toys R Us description shows that I am not the only one that sees it loosely tied to the movie. Also the guys from FBTB see the correlation. Now I know it's not all that credible, but there are some other people who see vague similarities between the movie and set besides me. -

We will agree to disagree on that one I was also thinking though and when the set list was first released wasn't there a "Marvel 4" set? I don't know if it was ever explained or not but it sort of gives me hope on one more Iron Man 3 set coming out. Especially after seeing the trailer we can definitely use another set with some more suits! -

I thought of saying that, but then I thought it's roughly based on Origins Wolverine so its sort of a gray area in my opinion. Thanks for the picture! I was really hoping it was a different gold so its' great to hear it is! Also I have thought of something dealing with the Malibu Mansion set! -

I meant movies and shows, which is what LEGO Marvel has been completely based on up until this point. I'm well aware that there is more to DC then just Batman and the 8 or so other characters we have seen. We can all argue about this all day long, but up to this point it seems like TLG would rather play it safe in the early years of these licenses and make sets based off of the current material presented to the public rather than delving into the comics. I am all for diversity and would love having lesser known characters, but for now TLG is playing it safe and in doing so I can see them giving Marvel more attention since they are the more globally publicized brand right now. Maybe MoS is a huge hit and the DC Cinematic Universe takes off, but until that point, IMO, Marvel has center stage. On another note, I feel TLG missed the boat by not having sets for Young Justice since that show seemed very popular and I am sure plenty of kids (and AFOLs) would have loved sets based on it. -
I know right! After seeing the suits that will be involved, it's a shame we only get the ones we do! I also feel the the Heartbreaker suit we get is a pretty bad representation of what the suit looked like in the trailer. We really need an exclusive set or something to show up!

Double post: This movie is going to be EPIC!!! The Extremis armor looks incredible and the Iron Legion is involved Literally can't wait for May! It is disappointing that it appears Iron Patriot will have a significant role and yet we don't get a minifig version.

Little over an hour left until the Iron Man 3 trailer! I will be anxiously waiting out this last hour

And sleep wins yet again Thanks for pointing to the timer Oky, I completely missed that when seeing the link.

Nice review J2G Don Cheadle minifigure looks great! It's also interesting you think the gold on the Iron Man helmet is different? If you have the Avengers Iron Man it would be really nice to see a comparison picture Either way nice video! -
Is there a set time it's suppose to be released at? Just curious since I have really early class tomorrow and need to consider if staying up past midnight is worth it or not

I agree it's not "new" in that sense, but we are getting Mandarin, Pepper, War Machine, and civi Tony just from IM3. Then in Cap 2 and Thor 2 we are supposed to see the Winter Soldier, Falcon, the Warriors Three, Malaki (spelling?), and probably more that could end up in sets, and that's not even mentioning the different locations or vehicles. At the very least it is all more stuff that TLG can consider making which makes their jobs easier, where as with DC they have to try to think of what Bat related vehicle they can throw together. My original point is that currently Marvel is doing far more than DC, so if Marvel ends up with more sets I can understand why. -

Why does it matter? DC doesn't have any new material to work off of, whereas Marvel is coming out with a few new movies every year as well as new TV shows. If Marvel is supplying TLG with all this material and DC doesn't really have much set for their future then it only makes sense that Marvel will be getting more sets than DC. -
Thanks for the breakdown def It sounds like Rudd will work well in Wright's style which, in my opinion, is as important as anything when making a movie. I also agree that DC has to be furious over this. Marvel has really stepped up their game in the casting category (so I guess my initial apprehensiveness of Rudd was unwarranted). As for Marvel genius's I think we can both agree that Peter Parker is more than likely at the top of that list In all seriousness though it would be really interesting to see a comprehensive ranking of the geniuses. Edit: One more day until the new Iron Man 3 trailer!

Review: 76007 Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack

I understand why they did it, it just looks a little strange on the actual figure IMO. -
Paul Rudd is rumored to be the front runner for Hank Pym (Ant Man). I haven't read many Ant Man comics, but I know he has a (slightly less than) Stark leveled intelligence and I only know Rudd from comedies so I'm not sure about this one...

Great review Cap! Thanks for all the exceptionally clear pictures I'm liking this new armor more and more (even though I believe TLG could have done it better). Edit: Congrats on getting "home-paged"! Very well deserved! -
I thought McGregor was fantastic as well. I was really excited about the Star Wars reference so leaned over to share my enjoyment with my gf and lets just say she didn't feel quite the same way I did about it...

Ya it should be interesting to see how that all works out. The Extremis comics were awesome so I am definitely excited to see what elements they include in the movie and what they leave out I'll put money on more Batman unfortunately. Up until this point DC has been severely lacking in character diversity
