Is MOCpages ready to grow up?
Spider-Man replied to xboxtravis7992's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I understand exactly what you are saying, and your points are made very well. However I tend to think that no matter what site you use, Flickr or MOCpages etc, there will always be 'trolls' and immature people. Flickr is such a large community in general, not just LEGO sharing, that I think it opens pictures up to a much wider audience which inevitably will open it up to more trolls. MOCpages on the other hand is an incredibly specialized picture site, and also has mechanical problems as you have mentioned. Because of this I think a lot of people have decided to move on and use Flickr instead, which means that some of the immature people or 'trolls' have also moved from MOCpages to Flickr. The immaturity and 'trolling' will always exist, however I definitely agree that it is a lot meaner and volatile on Flickr. -
That's a good idea. The blue robot one I think would work pretty well.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I just want to put it out there now, after some of you guys see the movie please use spoiler tags when relating sets to the movie and such. Thanks in advance -
Thanks for the trailer! I thought it looked ok, not great. The only thing in the entire trailer that I was even excited about was the 4 seconds of Loki at the end.

Using NRG Jay's head could be a good start to make a pretty good Cardiac figure I'm trying to decide what pieces to use for the body before going to Bricklink.

Yeah me too

Removing Minifig Heads stuck tight
Spider-Man replied to TeufelHund's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This!! I have damaged one head too many that way Luckily they weren't ever really important ones... -
Welcome Bobblehead I've done a bit of customizing myself and have really enjoyed it! Eurobricks has a lot of great tutorials in the Minifigure Customization Workshop that got me started. Can't say I have ever done stop-motion, but I do enjoy watching what other people make and I look forward to seeing some of your work in the future!

I've been on the futon all day today pretty sick so watched a bunch of movie. The best so far has definitely been "My Cousin Vinny" I have always loved that movie!

I think you are having a problem with the pictures? At least I can't see them on my computer

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Spider-Man replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
My guess is that we will see what TLG has in-store for us at CC, like last year SDCC is July 18-21 I'm pretty sure so mid-summer is looking pretty good. -
Yeah me either IMO the original 151 are special and just shouldn't be tampered with, especially Mewtwo!!
-
Of course! There is this one and it is also one of the top stories on the actual Pokemon website
-
It was confirmed today that Mewtwo somehow evolves or has another form that is that new Mewtwo looking Pokemon. This is probably my worst case scenario for this Pokemon. I could have been ok with it being a completely new Pokemon related to Mew or Mewtwo, but the fact that Mewtwo IS this new Pokemon makes me sad

Isn't that a little bit of a close-minded view? We haven't even gotten to see really anything from Disney and you are already writing them off as greedy and uncaring to their audience. I am at least going to give Disney a chance before I say they are failures. I rather be optimistic and see what they have in-store before calling it all garbage, who knows they could end up being great movies!
-
Not necessarily. If they are done right, and are actually good movies, people will love them and be excited for every release. Star Wars is a beloved franchise and a lot of people will be interested in the movies, especially if they are more like the OT.
-
I think people who love basketball, and people who love superheroes have both tried their hardest to forget that movie

Wait...I thought I joined Ameribricks!?!?!

Welcome to EB Good to hear you have a diverse interest in the hobby! My personal favorite is the Marvel line. The figures are all brilliant and the builds, for the most part, are interesting and look really nice -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I don't think this will be the SDCC figure. Last year they didn't release pictures until the night before they were given away, so I really doubt they would just show it now to mess with us. Do you think they could maybe have this be a special July promo this year? American Independence day is July 4th and is one of the most patriotic days we have in America. I know it would make it seem like the promo would be directed more towards Americans then the rest of the world, but the suit itself is pretty American. (Just for the record I'm not trying to stir up any Ameribricks controversy ) -
TMNT Shredder (2003) - I need your help
Spider-Man replied to Elrond's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
^ hmmmmm that does seem like the much simpler solution to this problem! -
Great pictures as usual! The figure doesn't look exceptionally special, but he does look great on that tauntaun! Awesome review

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I agree with you to a point. There are a lot of characters that I really want to see made before we get a bunch of alternate versions, however if it's in a set we don't know about or even a polybag promo for a month then I am all for it! At this point I sort of expect to see it made, one way or another. In both posters they specifically included suits that have all been made, plus the Iron Patriot armor. If TLG wanted to just make a poster for the heck of it, they could have easily completely copied the actual Iron Man 3 poster and just recolored the suits to make them look like their counterparts. -
Oh gosh Oky, why?! Why did you point that out! I will never look at the Patrick fig the same again
-
Good thing that with LEGO you can make the characters whatever you want, good or bad
