LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Bricktooth replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Did this situation happen before, that the last series was released, but we didn't have pictures of the next? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't have time to go over the whole topic. -
I'm a Purist! I think that's accurate for me. BTW, great quiz!
-
Great minimalist design!
-
If those are real you are extremely lucky. The lowest price on Bricklink for those is $600 (unopened ones).
-
A creative idea with a great execution! The lighthouse is very steampunk-y! Maybe you should add a little house to it, where the lighthouse-keeper could live. BTW how do you display this? Did you edit out the supports, because right now it looks a bit unstable.
-
Nice reimagination of the BSB ! I would love to see the final version! The figs are from PotC and Prince of Persia, right? Hope you finish it soon!
-
So that's the reason the X-Men weren't in the film . That is one tough motorcycle that survives being ridden by the Hulk!

Our favorite Lego CMF minifigures!
Bricktooth replied to Lightning Dragon's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think you can only make a poll after you have 500 posts, but you can ask a moderator to do one for you. -
Thanks for the compliments! I will update the topic when I find a solution to the problems with the interior.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Bricktooth replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
IMO that set would have been much better recieved if it was a part of an Arctic theme. -
Let's share our funny interesting photos!

The Explorer climbs up a giant plant The Elf stands guard on a tree The Artist is about to finish his masterpiece The Alien The Hazmat Suit Guy fleeing from some unseen horror -
This is my LEGO interpretation of the Tumbler, Batman's vehicle in the Nolan films. This was a hard MOC to do, because of all the angles, but I think I solved that problem pretty well. It unfortunately cannot seat minifigs, because there is not enough space inside, but I'm trying to find a solution to that. Overview, with Batman: From the front: The interior (sorry for my camera reflecting on the transparent piece): The back: The "cockpit": The underside: Brickshelf folder (when public)

Pictorial Review of Summer 2012 Star Wars Sets:
Bricktooth replied to Sir von Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review! I think I'll probably buy only the Fury and maybe the Desert Skiff. The other sets don't interest me/don't fit in my LEGO budget with the LOTR line coming out now. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Bricktooth replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think that 3 sets share the "all time worst" title: 7144 Slave 1, 7151 Sith Interceptor and 7159 Star Wars Bucket. LEGO could make good sets at that time, like the original X-wing, so why are these so bad then? The only excuses for these are that they were produced in the first years of the line, and really few curved pieces existed at that time. The minifigures are one of the few positive points, but except for Boba Fett and the horrible Aldar Beedo, all the figs were available in cheaper sets at the time. -
[MOC] Star Wars Death Star II wall/desk clock sculpture
Bricktooth replied to WWWally's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This looks great! The Death Star is a nice MOC in itself, and the clock function is a great extra. I think that the only problem with this is that the clock-hands are not thick enough. I agree with the others saying that you should use lightsaber bars, both the 4 and 3 studs long. -
Here is a MOC I built for the Kimono girl minifig. I made this a few months ago, and I had it disassembled, so unfortunately I can't make better pictures of it. Hope you like it!
-
Great job incorporating the Batwing into the Batcave! Maybe you could add a ramp so Batman can climb up to the cockpit and get out.
-
A really nice MOD there hachiroku! This is definitely an upgrade over the official version. The only thing that I would change is adding another one of those beams to each side of the cockpit, connected to the empty hinges. The sides look a bit empty right now, and it would be more accurate to the original Falcon.
-
This is my first funny, you can expect more from me soon! Here is the one you suggested: (Sorry for the bad photography on the second picture. I had to use an older camera because my normal one isn't availible right now.)

Thanks for the information!

Great story and MOC! This fits into the Batman universe nicely. The lighthouse is an excellent reimagination of the set 5770 Lighthouse Island, although in a much darker mood. The headpiece of the statue is a modified version of the Statue of Liberty minifig's hair, right? Hopefully you will continue this story, as it kept me really excited!

Wow, really nice MOCs Nuju Metru! I could definitely see these as official sets. As others have said before me, your Treebeard is excellent! I really like the way you did his beard with those vine pieces. My other favorite is the Golden Hall. I think it captures the feel of the hall in the film perfectly. I love the brickbuilt wargs, but if TLG were to make that set, they would probably make a new mold for them. I think TLG will make a set with a Fell Beast in it down the road, but I hope it will be brickbuilt, not like the dragons from the Fantasy Castle line.

Our favorite Lego CMF minifigures!
Bricktooth replied to Lightning Dragon's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My favorites, broken down to each series: Series 1: -The Zombie: It is great for post-apocalyptic MOCs, and it is a minifig LEGO fans have been waiting for a long time. Series 2: -The Vampire: It is the first vampire since the one in the Studios set, and the one appearing in the Monster Fighters sets is based on this figure. Series 3: -The Gorilla Suit Guy: the first "man in an animal suit" figure, a subtheme which I really like. It has a great headpiece and back printing, one of the first CMF to have it. Series 4: -The Hazmat Suit Guy: a great headpiece, a new scared expression, and it comes in an unusual color. Series 5: -The Graduate: comes with a cloth robe, a new printed tile, and a new graduation hat. Series 6: -The Genie: has a new legpiece, gold hands, a purple turban, and a new lamp. Series 7: -The Evil Knight: the new longsword, great armor printing, and one can build a whole new faction around it. -
Great purist minifigs LuxorV! Even though it has been a long time I've seen the Iron Man films, the characters are instantly recognizable. That head works great for Black Widow, too bad I don't have it. Happy Hogan doesn't look too happy . My personal favorite is the Yinsen minifig. Which fig does it's torso come from?

Hello! My name is Attila, and I've finally decided to register after lurking for a long time. I will probably post mainly in the Licensed themes, Star Wars, Sci-fi, Pirates and Special themes forums, and I usually build MOCs from these areas. My other hobby is photography, which I recently started. I usually photograph my LEGO, so my two hobbies fit together nicely. I hope I will be a useful member of this community, and I'm looking forward to posting my own creations!
