Not particularly impressed with the sets shown in the pics. I'll get a DS battle pack for the figures, and hopefully the sets not shown in the pics will be more interesting. The possibly-CW sets have potential.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
naugem replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I haven't been that long into Lego, but from the last 4 years I'd say the worst is the Republic Striker-class Starfighter. I'm torn on the Starhopper, but I think it looks better than the Striker-class. -

Thanks for the pics! They do give a better idea of the dimensions (if you have the Bounty Hunter Gunship, which I do ) -
Double Feature Review Part I: 75024 HH-87 Starhooper

Good review! I'm ashamed to say I have a weak spot for ugly little-known ships, so this one clearly fits the bill. I like the color-scheme and the fact that it's a new ship, so I'll probably be getting this when I find it on sale. My main complaints are that they didn't include Obi-One's helmet, and that Cad Bane's design is way too bland. Could you post a pic of this ship along with some other ships to get a better idea of the dimensions? Thanks! -
This MOC is amazing, an the creatures are particularly cool.
-
Great job!. I agree with the others, for the most part this ship looks better than the official one.

I liked the Clone Wars, and though it got better after the first season, it still had its ups and downs. Anyway, I think it had mostly run its course, though hopefully we'll get to see the remaining un-aired episodes someday. That being said, it's great to hear that there will be a new series, seemingly involving some great talent. I hope we don't get to see any R2-D2 and C-3P0, except in very rare cameos.

That unofficial one looks more realistic, while the official one looks more lego-ized. I still think it looks cool. And he comes packaged with slave Leia, maybe that's why he looks so happy

Stass Allie and Ree-Yees look great.

It's a nice ship, except for the wheels-as-engines section. That looks lazy. The figs look cool too. But with the great sets coming this summer, this one will have to get in line, and probably hope for a weak winter wave, to get a chance.

I had forgotten to post in this thread, but I got the figs a few weeks ago. Thanks CopMike!

I managed to order a B-Wing too. Does Lego cancel orders often?

Are Star Wars MOC Builders becoming a dying breed?
naugem replied to HJR-Holland's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think there's a general decline in SW interest. I've only been into Lego for about 3 years (mostly buy SW), but I get the impression that SW in general has moved from the top to somewhere in the middle in the 'Lego ladder'. A couple of years ago TRU sales excluded SW, now they exclude Ninjago and Chima. A lot of Star Wars sets get big discounts on Amazon shortly after being released. Even FBTB didn't run a single SW-based contest all of last year, focusing more on other themes. -
I'm going to miss the CW-style faces . I'm probably in the minority, but I like the more 'detailed' faces better. Hopefully we'll still see a few more new CW sets.

I wish they'd do that too, but for the opposite reason. The set I'm most inetrested in is the gunship, but I like the Jedis from the AT-TE more
