  1. Apparently so: http://screenrant.com/star-wars-7-anakin-skywalker-force-ghost-images-hayden-christensen/
  2. Titanfall 2 - short but great singleplayer campaign, and the multiplayer is outstanding. Really recommend everyone give this a shot, whether it's on PC (my personal preference) or console. Fast paced FPS, unlike any of the well-known ones out right now.
  3. I would love to see some Kylo self-conflict sometime in this trilogy, even though I think he's beyond redemption. It would be interesting if he somehow found out Vader was not in actuality anything like Kylo's perception of him, which would lead him to question Snoke's teachings. If they go down the Leia-passing-away route, that would definitely add to his conscience as well.
  4. It wouldn't be the same at all with a recast/CGI'd Leia, not to mention the huge backlash from fans and everyone else. Disney would be better off retiring her character and put in someone completely new as the leader of the Resistance if they wanted to go ahead with whatever the plan for Episode 9 is.
  5. If they do decide to write her character off it better be done right - a good example is Leonard Nimoy's death and his character's passing of Spock Prime in Star Trek Beyond. It conveyed the emotion everyone felt at Nimoy's passing, and was respectful enough to be worked into the movie. I think Disney will make it work either with Leia's death or a retirement write-off.
  6. Oh wow, I don't even remember posting that. Nice catch. In hindsight though, the Civil War movie was bound to happen no matter what - it's such a big staple of the Comics outside of the MCU, and at some point they had to show internal discord in the team and not just make 4 consecutive movies about saving the world.
  7. Now her mother, Debbie Reynolds, has reportedly been taken to the hospital for a possible stroke: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38455653 This family just can't catch any breaks, god.
  8. Rewatched Ex Machina this morning - intelligent and Turing test-capable AI are probably the scariest thing in technology right now.
  9. Saw Rogue One on Friday, and rewatched Pirates of Silicon Valley yesterday. Not the greatest movie but still a cool watch about the rise of Apple and Microsoft.
  10. The humour was on point, my personal favourite was 'Are you kidding me? I'm blind.' I'll post spoiler-containing comments in a bit, but by and far Rogue One lived up to the hype.
  11. If the rumour is true, I'm surprised they included that Bibble guy from Phantom Menace; not a lot of people are going to remember him. An idea that could work in the future is a Valorum camoe if Terence Stamp is up for it, showing his guilt at not stopping Palpatine earlier through that vote of no confidence move which ultimately lead to the Empire. There's a lot of potential for Disney to tie everything together well.
  12. Official trailer from Jimmy Kimmel:
  13. Bought the 75145 Eclipse Fighter yesterday, first set in awhile.
  14. Well he did throw some criticism at TFA, but I suppose that was more of him being excluded from the creativity process than an unbiased review. I'll probably see Rogue One the Saturday after it comes out, got a break in between finals that weekend.

  16. So according to Gareth Edwards (the director), George Lucas really liked Rogue One when he saw it. I wasn't a big fan of his Godzilla remake, so this does boost my hopes up for the movie.
  17. Imperium starring Daniel Radcliffe - I won't go into too many details here because it is a rather dark topic, but suffice it to say that it's a good film if you're into southern American history/culture.
  18. Watched Suicide Squad yesterday - posted some of my thoughts on it in the DC Universe thread.
  19. Non spoiler remark about SS that's probably already been mentioned but I'll say it anyways: It's like DC watched the rise of Iron Man+all the other Phase 1 movies then conglomerate into the super successful first Avengers movie, then decided a year later 'okay we'll make a backstory for a Superman reboot'. After that DC then decided to try and replicate Marvel's (still ongoing) success and just giving us these giant blockbusters with all the classic heroes and big stars, expecting all the big praise to come from said conglomerate; somehow they didn't realize it was the Avengers' backstories in their standalone movies that drew audiences to the characters before making Avengers 1. I mean, on the surface it looks cool and makes them money, but BvS and SS don't appeal to anyone looking for a deeper and substantial story. I also don't see them being able to carry on this farce again if they botch JL 1 - the Suicide Squad box office drop this weekend alone is starting to show people are running out of patience with these shallow films. Movie-wise it was fun and somewhat enjoyable, outside of the corny moments and weak story.
  20. How You Get the Girl by Taylor Swift
  21. I'm fairly excited for this, if Rogue One is the war movie they claim it'll be.
  22. Star Trek Beyond on Saturday; loved the storyline, and the chemistry between the different pairings of characters throughout the whole film.
  23. Apparently HBO is sending Ramin Djawadi and an orchestra around North America for a GOT concert tour: http://www.ew.com/article/2016/08/08/game-thrones-concert-tour-dates The Toronto date is in March and I'm seriously considering getting a ticket for it, but I did say the same thing about that Zelda 30th Anniversary concert 4 years ago and never ended up going. So we'll see, but it's certainly very tempting.
  24. I liked it more than Legacy
