  1. I also bought all the Technic magazines ;-) But I also have a digital archieve with all the downloaded PDFs, so it doesn't matter what ever will happen to Blue Ocean or their website.
  2. The instructions of all these magazine "gifts" can be downloaded here: https://www.blue-ocean-ag.com/bi/ Just enter the 6-digit code of the model, eg. 412401... 412403 412501... 412506 The pattern is obvious, first 2 digits are for the series ("Technic"), digits 3+4 are the year, and digits 5+6 are the number of the model itself. This also works for the city magazine sets, starting from 951701 to 952510 (so far) with a few exceptions.
  3. Well, if you completed collecting all classic studded technic sets, there is no other chance than to dive into variants
  4. Thanks, meanwhile I already found this 8855 9V sheet too, so no need to upload it. But I am still missing the follwing ones, or better said, I am not sure if they even exist: 8832 with 9V upgrade 8842 with 9V upgrade 8852 with 9V upgrade 8853 with 9V upgrade At least 8853 is likey to exist (imho), because it is easy to replace the 4.5V with the 9V motor.
  5. Well, my list refers to sets that were shown in the 1990 catalog. Meanwhile, the 9V instruction versions for 8034 and 8835 have appeared. So imho, it is very likely, that the sets that were still in production in 1990, but released before 1990, got this change. Pictures supplied from german collector "Ralf", member of "1000steine" community:
  6. Hello, as most of you know, in 1990 the 9V motor 8720 was released, it followed the well known 4.5V motor 870 / 8700. At that time, all Technic instructions had a section that showed how to motorize it. Either the A-model or the B-model (* see below). Due to the change from 8700 to 8720, the instruction were upgraded. Until now, I found both both variants for the following sets: 8024, 8034, 8044 Universal Sets 8854 Power Crane 8862 Backhoe Grader 8865 Test Car For the following sets, I could not find versions that show motorizing with the newer 9V motor 8720: 8832 Roadster / Mini Go-Kart 8835 Forklift 8842 Go-Kart 8852 Robot 8853 Exvacator 8855 Prop Plane Does anyone have an instruction book (or at least pictures / scans) for one of these sets, that show the 9V motor as an upgrade option? I already searched the usual online resources, but it seems that they have all copied the scans from each other, so you find the same scans everywhere... (*) no rule without exception. For the pneumatic Forklift 8843, there are two different version of the instructions. The first version shows a motorized "C"-model, while the second version dropped the C-model and shows only A- und B-models.
  7. I am still wondering about 60336 freight train. At least in german catalogs, it was only available for less than one year, and was replaced by it's predecessor 60198. I cannot remember that something like this has ever happened before.
  8. Built the set yesterday. And I noticed, that there is a possible quality problem regarding the optic fibers. In steps 132 and 133, the long optic fibers need to be fiddled thorugh a black connector. With one of the long optic fibers, that was no problem. But the other one, was a huge problem. Nearly impossible to do. I tried many different pieces of the black connector, but this didn't make any difference. It looks like one of the optic fiebers was a little bit thicker than the other one.
  9. I know that this is a very unpopular opinion, but I'd like TLC to go back to studded technic sets and 4w city cars & trucks.
  10. @Ngoc Nguyen thank you very much
  11. Thanks, I will try this. But as mentioned before - could you provide a single scan of page 174? Because it is folded in the PDF file.
  12. @Ngoc Nguyen Would it be possible that you share the scanned pics instead of a pdf file? In this case, I'd try to trim and rotate the images, and then make a pdf of them.
  13. I collect, because I simply like the looks and the style of the late 1970s and 1980s sets. The modern sets from year 2000 until today, they don't appeal to me. Many of them appear ugly to me, with only very few exceptions.
  14. I never saw straight RC train track sections that were NOT warped. Maybe it is intended (for whatever reason), or it is a quality issue that exists since 2006.
  15. Well, the modern studless technic models look like cheap China toys, at least for my opinion. And they constructions are weak and wobbly, you need a zillion of connectors to make them somewhat sturdy. (of course, this increases the official "parts count content" printed on the box). The studded technic sets need way less parts to get constructions that are more solid...
  16. Studded technic is better than studless.
  17. I agree totally... Lego was never cheap, but in the 80s and early 90s, quality was good. Today, the quality of bricks, stickers and boxes is poor, but the prices are beyond everything. Technic sets consist if stupid and wobbly liftarms instead of solid bricks...
  18. 6679 are two different sets same for 6648, 6628, 6375
  19. If people like them, they shall buy them. For me, most of the modern minifigs appear ugly.
  20. I believe that it will be something like the pseudo-train 9467.
  21. For me, it is quite the opposite. No matter if used or MISB, ebay is always much cheaper than Bricklink. Of course, availability at Bricklink is better at eBay.
  22. Still waiting for the solution ;-) Which set misses it's wheels in the inventory, and why?
  23. I bought them ;-)
  24. They also sold the motor explicitely as an upgrade to the non-motorized and battery-operated trains. You can find these hints in every catalog.
  25. I guess you mean 7750... And there are many other mysteries... why did they sell a black 7865 motor, when 4 of 5 upgradeable sets (7710, 7715, 7722, 7810) would require a red one.
