  1. Yep! I'd rather lose with an "R" than win with an "i". I thought about choosing an easy letter but really I do believe if I'm not pushing myself to be a better builder then there's very little point in building. That being said I do build simple stuff once in while especially when I'm doing a comic or something like that. Besides, having built the entire alphabet a couple years ago, it was simply a matter of deciding which I wanted to revisit for this contest. http://www.thecabg.net/t1328-rook-s-alphabet-wing-project?highlight=Alphabet

    Canadian Eh?

Talked to a Lego staffer that stocked my local TRU today with the new SWU sets! She said she stocked several other locations this week too. So got two of the new sets!
  3. The Republic R-Wing Fighter A FBTB Contest Entry The Republic R-Wing features an R2-Q2 astrometric droid with pilot and room for a single passenger. Know for its stubby broad nose and heavy forward armaments. This fighter was perfect for getting through enemy lines. Flickr Gallery Photobucket Gallery

Been looking almost daily and haven’t seen any on the east end yet. Hopefully Thursday!
  5. Frakking creepy world! Well done! Love the alien being almost “hatched” in the background.

I hate to say it but Scarborough Town Centre is probably a little too ghetto for a Lego Store. North York would work. I would assume between Allan & 401 to Leslie & 401 would about right. Even Markham or Richmond Hill would probably be more likely than Scarborough. There’s a great old free game from the late 90’s called Dope Wars® and they even have Scarborough as one the good places to sell drugs (along with Jane & Finch area). I’m going to go score a brick… at the Lego Store.

    Dragon Ship

    Sweet! Stud-y and still delicious!
  8. Ah yes this Fan Fiction. So no it is not related to any canon ships, stories, designs, etc. That’s the great thing about a “galaxy” of possibilities.
  9. Good. Hopefully when people see that a MOC thread was posted by me they click it. I‘d have to say my strong point is NOT creating titles.
  10. Nice, I did that for iPhone a while back. http://www.thecabg.net/t6816-ah-touchy-touchy#209698

    Mirage

Holy crap! I’ll add something of importance once I get over the wow factor. Edited: Elevated platforms are slick I’ve been thinking about this for my next Mega MOC but you two have just crushed it! I’ll have to rethink it to even come close to something half as interesting. Additional comments added to Flickr.
  13. I’d say no. I’m a builder, having glued Lego is like owning a gun and not buying bullets. Sure it’s Lego but very limiting unless you collect Lego Display Units. ;)
  14. Sweet, love the detailing in the “V” of the wing(s).

    And yet I’m not surprised.
  16. That’s kind of how I got restarted. I started seeing these Lego Star Wars sets pop up in ‘99 and ’00 and I had liked Lego as a kid and had always had an eye on my oldest brother’s Star Wars ‘70’s classic models. So along with a 6 pack, and steak, I’d toss in box of Lego. And that was my “Sunday” afternoon.
  17. Are you the one that has my $20 mil from my dead uncle with the same last name and with no living relatives!?
  18. I found a 1wide x2long x3 tall light gray slope in my Golf bag this week. I was cleaning up the sports equipment in my basement (where my Lego used to be about 12-18 months ago). It must have got in there when a dropped a MOC of when a tower of storage containers fell over. ...Reunited and it fells so good...
  19. I'd have to go with the Mars Mission air pump. I've seen it used in one or two other ways be generally it is just crap. Not enough connection points.
  20. Depends whether or not you’re in the middle of a postal strike! Yeah that was a Canadian joke.
  21. I built a sheathed axel with a flex tube on the end to remove the 1x1 pins. PART 1 http://www.thecabg.net/t207p75-lego-art-design-principles-101#4593 PART 2 http://www.thecabg.net/t207p75-lego-art-design-principles-101#4595
  22. Excellent use of those thousands of extra Battle Droid torsos!
  23. Nice use of that giant molded wing.
  24. Excellent mash up of Atlantis meets SWU.

If this is true then Yorkdale could surely have one. Can I say, “2 hour long lines to get into stores on Boxing Day”. I would have imagined that Yorkdale would have been the first place to put one. Being centered above the city and just off the 401 with TTC access I would imagine that you couldn’t get a better location.
