Ah it’s just black velvet covered board I’ve been shooting on. I find that the black light reactive pieces look better on a non-reflective background.

Yeah I've found it very hard to get hold the small Poly sets. Once in while TRU as one but never a complete line up. Looking forward to being able to go to a "real" Lego store. I've been to the Legoland CA in 2008 (spent all about $30 on bricks) and Mall of America in 2002 (dawn of my post Dark Ages bought nothing).
