  1. I've seen a couple of GG's in two local Italian shops. Prices were 160 and 170 Euros.
  2. This is better than "outstanding". Thanks for this terrific review!
  3. 2009 games are now in Italian shops too, just like the catalogue said. No sightings of the 2010 games, and the official italian site still isn't. All right, so I wasn't that dumb.
  4. No, ce ne sono altri
  5. Maybe Mods should consider renaming the topic.
  6. And no stickers. They add a lot to Tiny Turbos.
  7. Splintered piece of glass falls, in the seat (Thursday - Understanding in a car crash) Set data: 8121: Track Marshal (not marshall!) Year: 2009 Theme: Racers Subtheme: Tiny Turbos Pieces: 48 + 3 extras Price: 5 USD / 5 Euros / 4 UKP. Discontinued in 2010. Building time: less than 10 minutes (you know, stickers take a while...) MISB on review: Yes More info: Brickset - Peeron - Bricklink Official description: Keep the rules of the road! Keeping the racetrack safe is no obstacle for this V8-powered pace car! Includes reusable container for storage and travel. * Race on #8125 Thunder Raceway, or combine with #8120 Rally Sprinter to make a cool racing truck! * Measures over 3" (8cm) long! * Build to race or build to display! Collect all four: #8119 Thunder Racer, #8120 Rally Sprinter, #8121 Track Marshal, #8122 Desert Viper! Box pics: 2009 edition with red top and set name on front; pic on back to show that these set could work with 8123 Ferrari F1 Racers. Pic on the side to show combo model with 8120 Rally sprinter. Box content: bagged pieces, instructions and stickers. Loose pieces: This is neat: black and white. Plus, a few trans pieces. Instructions: Classic TT one and a half pages instructions sheet, plus one half of the combo model (a "cool racing truck", they say). No pieces codes or inventory. Stickers: There have to be stickers in these small Racers sets. Building: We're already half-way into building. We have the car base (that looks like ten other TT's), part of the body (with tho different mudguards, we've already seen this too), one bracket to the front with odd orange cheese/lights and two brackets on the back, the lower with round plates as... I don't really know and the upper one with red brake lights and a spoiler. Building: After we add a tile, a grill and a plate in the two central studs, we are ready to complete the model with 1x4 plate+brick on the sides, cool black windscreens (curved slopes) and even cooler 2x1 trans plates as light bars. The bare model: The Marshal is almost ready to hit the track, but it needs stickers. Still, let's see how it looks so far. The complete model: With stickers and extra pieces. Review: I sometimes ask myself: could Lego sell TT's for 4 Euros (or less) instead of 5 if they came in a cardboard box instead of that plastic thing. I fear the answer is yes. Yet I was lucky enough to grab this one for 3,70. The main difference from this and other TT sets is white as the main color. If you look closely, stickers look whiter than bricks, but I wonder how many people would care. A sport car turned into safety car, the Track marshal looks like a good add-on the the fold-out micro Ferrari set, but a bit under par as a stand alone if you mind about writings. So if you're looking for unusula building/tehcniques/pieces, this is neither the set nor the theme to find theme. Yet, with the same bunch of pieces and some stickers to costumize, Tiny Turbos are in their 6th year and counting. How many themes did last so long? Rating: Color scheme: 5/5. Black, white and trans colors. Way to go! Minifigs and accessories: N/A. We're talking Tiny Turbos. Pieces: 3/5. The most interesting parts could be trans dark orange 2x1 tiles, since they're not so popular. Playability: 3/5. It's a car made of Lego. Can it be enough? Design: 3,5/5. Nice one, solid black windscreens look really good, so do trans tiles and cheese plates. But one could say it's just another TT in different colors. Overall rating: 3,5/5. Slightly better than average. The final words: It almost looks nice with no stickers!
  8. You can sometimes found them on eBay.
  9. I buy small sets from most themes. And in two years I almost ran out of space too.
  10. A German eBay seller has the new board games for sale, but they will shipped after March 6th.
  11. C'mon, they're nearly perfect!
  12. No more fantasy era but two wizards? (Impulse and Calendar). After watching toy fairs pics I'm still amongst the few who loved gold&dark blue more than red&white. But this time I'm NOT gonna miss the AC!
  13. I really don't think pirces went down in Italy. They stayed the same or went a bit up. At least, while US prices raised from 5 to 6, small Creator sets and Tiny Turbos held the same price (5 Euros). But fire truck 7239 is now 23 Euros (used to be 20 or less)
  14. That may be different from a country to another one. I read that here in Italy PM was a hit and Pirates was a miss (amongst kids), because of rock monsters. Yet Pirates ending hurted me a lot more than PM ending would.
  15. Yep, Space6901 is right. Plus, I would love to not see any more of these: and
  16. I am not very impressed. Fantasy era looks better than this (what's with that bucket turned into a helmet???)
  17. Lady in red: "Nice haircut you have! Where can I have one?" Lady in grey: "Try Bricklink"
  18. That's great, and I like the multi-angled roof. Also, great techniques on the inside.
  19. Promo sets are already out there (but I don't exactly know where). See this gallery.
  20. What about a clay tennis court? (maybe it would need two baseplates).
  21. Some Ferrari F10 pics and news: here.
  22. Series two is expected in October (source: http://www.svetlega.cz/index.html -> LEGO novinky 2010 -> Říjen 2010 - LEGO minifigures 8684 Minifigures - vol 2)
  23. Yes, Def, that happened to me when I uploaded the 2010 Italian catalogue (some 10 days ago); I had two open windows to make it faster but I had to upload 72 pics one at a time. Yesterday I tried a small zip and it worked (back then, I didn't try a 72 pics zip, but some smaller ones, with no result).
  24. If I just believe it, there's nothing to it - I believe I can fly - I believe I can touch the sky (Micheal Ball - I believe I can fly) Set data: 3563: NBA Collectors # 4 Year: 2003 Theme: Sports Subtheme: Basketball Pieces: 12 + 3 cards Price: 8 USD (Peeron) Building time: less than 5 minutes MISB on review: Yes More info: Brickset - Peeron - Bricklink Official description: N/A Box front: Players close-up, cards, players name and theme logos. A great overview. Box rear: Catalog for 3-fig packs and "instructions" for those who can't figure out themselves how to build displays. Box sides: Generic Collectors pack picture (Allen / Duncan / Gasol); 1:1 Kidd minifigure and NBA action scene (Chris Dudley from Portland TrailBlazers defends against Miami Heat's Alonzo Mourning. None of them are available as minifigs, not even one of their team mates!); finally, an NBA hologram and various TradeMarks . Box content: Lego bag and cards bag. Cards: 3 Upper Deck cards with "action shot" on front and stats on back (latest 5 years and career totals). Kukoc is portrayed in the Atlanta Hawks jersey, but he was then been "traded to (Milwaukee) Bucks". Bryant's and Kidd's cards are silver plated, Kukoc's is gold plated. One side of the box reads "Trading cards, randomly packed" (yes, with a comma). Oddly, Brickset pic is a bit different (Kidd's outfit looks much darker and Kukoc is bouncing the ball, not shooting) Click pics for a larger version! NBA minifigs arms and hands: Hands are different from ordinary figs, shorter and unposable. This is because they should carry the ball and be able to shoot it. By the way: Lego basketball has to be larger than Lego football, since this one falls from minifig hands. NBA minifigs legs: Light blue legs are pictured front, yellow and dark blue are pictured back. Legs are held together by plastic, so they can not move, and each one has a spring. This will work for ball shooting too. Pedestal: 6x6, with 4 studs centered on top and place to host 2x2 plates on three sides of bottom (if needed to keep stands together). Players front view: Kukoc and Bryant are playing home games, they have the team nickname on their jerseys. Kidd is on the road, hence his shirt reads "New Jersey" instead of "Nets". Players rear view: Bryant used to wear #8 back then. he later switched to #24. Kukoc kept #7 after moving from Hawks to Bucks. Kidd sometimes wore #5 in Team U.S.A. too. Spring time: Legs can move from -90° to +90°. Human finger not included in box. Skin color: Comparing IJ's 7195 bad guys with Kidd and Kukoc, their skin look the same flesh tone. Complete set: Each player on his stand, with his card as a backdrop. Review: So here's something a bit different from a standard set. One of 8 NBA minifig packs, with 3 players (including 2 of the most gifted amongs those who performed in two different millenniums and an European talent), their trading cards and a place to put minifig and laminated self. Minifigs are packed with head on torso, and torsos have one arm up and the other one lying on the side. I tried rotating hands to put them in the same way usual minifigs have them; I quickly stopped trying before something bad happened. After all, they're perfect for holding and shooting a mf-sized basketball (which can be found in other sets, most every one except collectors pack). As I said before, legs can't move, because there's an additional piece of plastic to tie them together. That and the springs are not the only difference between these and ordinary legs. These ones, after being put together with the torso can be hardly separated. As for the springs, how does the whole thing work? Put your finger on the player's head, pull him back, release and the player will shoot. It's obvious that these packs were ment for display; who would spend 8 USD for one of these and play with it? These Collectors sometimes got cheaper (last time I spotted some in Italy, they were on sale for 5 Euros) but have varying prices on eBay and Bricklink. Varying from 3 to 15 USDs! It's up to you decide what sum they are worth. I bought these one along with more LEGO on a BL order for what had to be a fair price. Trivia: what's the only minifig amongst these 24 to have a hair piece? (Answer: ) what's the only team amongst those with two players to have them wearing different colored jerseys? (Answer: ) Rating: Color scheme: 5/5. Well, they look like official NBA jerseys! Minifigs and accessories: 3/5. Worthless if you're not into NBA; great if you are. Too bad these packs didn't include a ball. Pieces: 3/5. Perfect for display, great if you had more of these packs AND a basketball field or add-on (like shooting practice). Otherwise, it was just 3 out-of-ordinary figs. Playability: 2/5. Playing is not what this set was meant for.But there is / were chance, as I said before. Design: 4/5. More of a collector's item than a toy. Overall rating: 3,5/5. This is hard to put in numbers. I summed it up in the review. The final words: "Best on the planet" in ABS! Ain't it great?
  25. Picture is now public. It's a nice little set, let's hope it'll be available for cheap (I just don't hope anymore of having free LEGO in here)
