  1. Ok thanks. I just wasn't sure what the "x18" meant. Another question: Is it good to find a quantity of 279 for a piece only in one set?
  2. I'm new to BL and I just got really confused about something. There's this brick I'm looking at and it says "Qty: 279 (x18)" Does this mean if I buy one, I'll get 18.. or are there 279 sets of 18 of the brick? Do I have to pay the price for all 18 or is it a set price or what? I couldn't find anything in forum I'm just confused on this, I've probably seen this on 10 items out of the hundreds I've gone through. Someone pleas help.
  3. Where I live they have no LEGO stores in driving distance. Can't they just put one somewhere around southwest Missouri, PLEASE?? The nearest Lego place is the discovery center in Kansas City, I don't even know what a discovery center is, and I don't like KC because of the people that live there.
  4. My Toys is REALLY bad about the rewards thing, they hardly ever give you your rewards I wish other local stores would sell Technic. Target would be a great place since my family gets their medicine there, we get tons of their $10 gift cards. I actually saved up a ton of them to buy some other LEGO sets, and my whole wireless network (Including all the cables) So I think Target would be a GREAT place for Technic to sell (Again, I spotted some back in 2008)
  5. But Toys R Us hardly ever includes Technic in the BOGO 50% off sales, or mine doesn't anyways. And I usually don't buy online unless I'm buying from LEGO shop@home. It would be easier if other stores sold Technic as my TRU doesn't keep a big stock anymore. They maybe have 3 sets at most, the two smaller and then a bigger set, this year the minimog crane and plane.
  6. What I don't understand is why people don't wait until LEGO sells it on their site. If you have the vip points thing, more points= more money back(well more money discounted in future orders, same concept of more money) Everyone wants more money, except the baby. (Someone from the U.S. please, PLEASE, get the reference )
  7. The tread on those look more like puller tires. That's odd for a crawler. Someone care to explain this?
  8. I've been looking at the other threads for 3rd party tires. They're all for the Wheel 56mm D. x 34mm Technic Racing Medium wheel. Are there tires for the Wheel 62mm D. x 46mm Technic Racing Large wheel, or as most of us know it as the Power Puller wheel? I'm not sure what size I should look for. Hopefully someone can help!
  9. If Blackbird has it, I can't wait for the rendering for this model
  10. I think only the 56mm diameter rims will work.
  11. You could always try a third party tire. Unless you're a purist. But its only between the rim and the ground
  12. 47349c04, these pieces , came in the radio controlled sets. If you're looking for standard wheels, I don't know what wheel as I cannot find the inside measurements and I don't have one so I cannot see the measurement of the inside of the tire. I believe there is a thread tho, I will try to find it and post it on here. I also could not find "47345" on bricklink, so I searched the name of the wheel. The wheel came in black, blue, red, and lime green. UPDATE I have found the thread I was talking about! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67156&st=0&p=1225773&hl=Custom%20tires&fromsearch=1entry1225773 And looks like it fits on this wheel, Wheel 56mm D. x 34mm Technic Racing Medium
  13. I was reading about the differential locks on here, what about these?: Torsen Style Limited Slip Differential -or- using bands and thin wheels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI8UNQBpXvI#! I like the idea of using bands, its small and doesnt take much space as long as you have enough space between to set this up. I like the torsen, but it takes up too much space. Time for someone to think of something! Anyone want to try? Edit- So after about 7 tries, I finally get it to work
  14. Ok so I think this hasn't been asked (I'm extremely tired but can't sleep) I was looking at the pictures and the steering. What if you moved the connection back a pinhole, would that improve the radius? It looks simple to do with the provided pieces, has anyone that has the set tried?
  15. @yotogi Hopefully LDD will be helpful to me for once, I usually have absolutely no luck with digital builders, either they don't have a piece or I can't figure out how to use them. But best of luck!
  16. Gear chains, pneumatic air tanks, and possibly pneumatic hoses (I don't trust used hoses that much, I'm afraid that they might break) are cheaper so far. I haven't checked many of the gears, and I'll check when Lego education will sell the new style 16 tooth gear.
  17. I went to the video on Youtube and downloaded the instructions. Its a bunch of Quicktime pictures, does anybody have a pdf version?
  18. And to think, all this time Lego has lied to me about steering and suspension
  19. I would like to know the full spec sheet for this! And see all sides and where the connections are for pf. I would also like 4 versions, with and without battery and the two colors.
  20. Thanks Paul, that helps a ton! Now I just have to find the parts at a good price
  21. I keep thinking Bricklink is the Lego version of Ebay, and I've had issues with Ebay
  22. Okay so I was looking on Bricklink and the Lego Education site, I keep seeing all these sets with gears and part sets that have multiple of chain pieces and clutch gears etc. Well I was wondering if those sets are worth the price, with some of them you get a ton of gears and beams and connectors and storage containers(Which I also need..) So is it worth the high price to go to Lego Education just for the pieces and such, or is it cheaper to go on Bricklink and buy from multiple sources? I know Bricklink is trusted, but I don't feel safe buying from even 3+ people at once not knowing who they are or if they're reliable. With Education I can buy from one source, that is trusted 100% of the time because its a division of Lego. So which should I go with?
  23. I saw the rebirth of the Barcode Multi-Set (8479) is at the top of my list.
  24. @gmshades Attachments are ours to make. Its part of the imagination and creativity in Lego!
