  1. Oh fur goodness sake, that idea is just abominable. Sounds fun but for some reason I have a feeling none of the other party members will choose to take advantage of it. Or they ask for their money back.
  2. Umm....but......but..............they were EVIL barnyard animals. Why else would incredibly good natures heroes who go out to make society a better place at the risk of their own lives with nothing to gain for themselves kill innocent barnyard animals? They were doing extortion. You know they make you pay rent to live on a farm. Unfortunately the legal documents were burned so the money could not be returned to their rightful owners. Nagure, the new Docken, but MORE tanky. (Docken you have a contender .......although does he know it? Has he met Nagure......oh wait OOC knowledge)
  3. Dreyrugr nodded to acknowledge Sylph's statement and then turned his face to their employer. "Yes it really wouldn't be a good idea to get caught up in the cloth trade right now it has been crazy, not that you can do much about it now. Is there anything of important value that your mentor possessed that would create an incentive to kill?
  4. It seems a bit too different to me. I can see the thought behind it but realistically imagine going against a boss. You can't convince them to change their plans and stop whatever evil thing they're about to do but they'll be happy to hand over all of their gold to you while fighting in battle.
  5. Dreyrugr walks off at sunrise. The sun burns his eyes but he was used to it. Dreyrugr walks into the inn taking note of the variety of creatures. He sees the woman who hired them as well as two heroes he had met before so Dreyrugr pulls up a chair. "I'm Dreyrugr" he simply stated. It seemed that even 1000 years of getting used to early mornings was not enough.
  6. Palathadric, I'm not sure how you're going to do it but you had better come up with a reason for Pretzel to give Dreyrugr loot. Or else...... Well I'm not sure about everyone else but I only became Black Knight is because of the SP . Well a cleric can't advance to a gold earning class either. Though I think the shield could use a serious buff. Considering it's the only shield which CAN cause harm to its user (the armour stops that but still) and it's slightly less flexible as if you attack an enemy immune to darkness its basically useless. Classes such as the berserker and shaman were changed so that the roll of a shield always has some benefit so if the shield had a buff it wouldn't seem out of place. A change I would probably see more plausible is dealing fragile or something to the original target. It would make the health sacrifice go a bit further (though considering the health amount of some enemies still not that far) and make sure that their shield rolls don't become entirely redundant.
  7. Dreyrugr saw a woman leave and saw he was one of the hero's chosen. Monk Pretzel as party leader. He was one of them who went on about vampires being demons and needing to be exterminated and such. This will be interesting. Now I'm slightly glad I have armour to watch my back for me.
  8. Well technically the face is grey. And who says that Dreyrugr is smiling. I mean its not like his planning to kill Pretzel. Although if you zoom into the face enough Dreyrugr is actually NOT smiling. (One of the few lego heads not smiling) I don't know. Is she smiling evilly like this? And what about Dreyrugr? He's more than double Sorrow's age. Extra plot twist: Dreyrugr is your character's distant anscestor. Now look after your elders and give him your loot love. (Even you Pretzel) ....................would Pretzel kill himself if he was related to a demon/vampire/humanoid creature that isn't human?
  9. I don't know. Assuming an opposing army is made of humanoids (not far fetched) imagine rolling a shield. An AoE attack on the entire opposing army doing double damage sounds OP to me. A few attacks and the war is over.
  10. Seriously great quest. You gave me a good something to sick my teeth into. At the same time if people didn't want to go thinking through everything you dropped enough hints so that the quest could continue. The NPC's were great and I also like the Po brothers. It was interesting to see them develop over the battle and they have to be one of my favourite NPC's. Fleur made a good Tragic Villain and it was interesting to see her try and scaddadle off rich but willing to cut her losses when she figured the party had her on a few occasions. I think the last battle was a bit over the top but hey, when Amorith kills everyone in round one of course you'd overestimate. Mechanically it was interesting to see you put catching Fleur and awesome loot on a pair of scales and tell us 'take what you want but don't tip it'. You made several characters who came off as humorous and the quest at times was hilarious (newts, amazing puns) but at no point did it lose its serious feel and never came off as being totally comical so kudos from me. I'm glad I was able to develop Dreyrugr as a character but it really is hard when in character they are the quiet one. You really helped me show off some antihero qualities (you know, chopping people's heads off no problem) and a couple more quests and I hope Dreyrugr will have developed a lot more. I'm glad he came off as smart cause you know, if you lived 1000 years you'd have a lot to think about. I was originally going to go Assassin, you know, gold, killing people instantly. But in the fight at the dock before getting on the ship, by pure bad luck (seriously, I did the math, you sure you didn't rig it ) Dreyrugr was KO. If he didn't borrow the leather armour for that one sp that would've been a OHKO. (I'd probably attack back row in that situation but still.....). If I went black knight there was already a shield around and the armour has become a staple for going black knight so that would shoot my sp up to 9. It's no Docken but it should give me a buffer for bad luck. That and with the dagger there is a 50/50 chance of stun. On a shield that's 50/50 to stun EACH enemy due to AoE attack so thats what made me go black knight. I might swap to a gold earning class later but for now Dreyrugr needs some serious sp so thats for later. Because you gave me a lot to sink my teeth into there were a lot of details I remembered (that wanted poster), it really made it a really enjoyable quest so take my thumbs up. I definitely want to go on another of your quests sometime. PS: Really thank you for that wanted poster (who knew it all started from Dreyrugr looking for somewhere to hide Marty's body), I would've had to give up buying something in the market place if it wasn't for that extra 50 gold. Seriously, I'm broke again.
  11. That's cool, I just got immunity to water chucked into my gloves.
  12. Dreyrugr walks in the hall to see it bustling more than he had yet seen. He quickly turns to the board. Another search it seemed. This one seemed to require a knight to gain information. Dreyrugr hardly seemed diplomatic but there was more than one way for gleaning information. Dreyrugr signs his name under Quest #69. He then turns to the other quest. It seemed pretty sraightforward. Tackling an armoury seemed easy enough but a strange feeling creeped up Dreyrugr's hand as he signed up for quest #70. Dreyrugr then posts a notice of his own. Dreyrugr then heads for a corner to sit down and mull over recent events.
  13. After training Dreyrugr went to take his trainers advice and invest in some armour. He goes to Fabian and looks through his armours. He finally finds the armour he was looking for. He tries it on. In a strange way it fit comfortably but it wasn't him. "Sir, it really doesn't suit you. Maybe if you put in under the rest of your clothes." Dreyrugr takes this advice. It didn't feel the most comfortable but he could get used to it. "The rest of your clothes aren't to snazzy either. Could I interest you in some fine cloth?" "I'm done with cloth in fact, here. And this helmet looks about as good as your other one. I'll take 10 gold." "Very well the helmet is worth that, but this is some nice cloth sir. I'd give you 20 gold pieces for it." Dreyrugr felt it was probably worth more considering the endeavour he went through but left it as is buying black knight's armour for 200 gold whilst selling cloth for 20 gold as well as the helmet for 10. 467-200+20+10=297 Dreyrugr then takes out his aquamarine. "Here put these in my gloves would you." "Very well sir. That's another 50 gold." 287-50=247 Dreyrugr leaves a lot less richer but feeling much more equipped. He heads over to the smithy to be greeted by someone with a beard. He hardly seemed dwarf like but Dreyrugr hardly concerned himself with other people. "I want to place this amethyst into this dagger and this sapphire in my shuriken." "100 gold pieces or nothing." Dreyrugr hands over the gold once again feeling poorer but better equipped. 247-100=147 He then heads for his last stop at Portia's. He knows what he wants and quickly picks up a phoenix essence, a nostrum, a soma and a grand potion leaving him broke at 7 gold. 147-50-35-45-10=7 Total calculations: 467-200-50-50-50-50-35-45-10+20+10=7
  14. Dreyrugr walks into the training room. He looks around for a while before walking to Copper Fox. "Ah yes, the vampire. What could I do for you?' "I was a bit pathetic in my last quest. Despite my years I was careless and cut down between two people using teamwork. I need training to avoid that happening again." "Yes, that can happen. It's too bad our own hero's cannot display the same teamwork sometimes. So let's see. Your vampiric abilities would already give you an edge in agility and strength. A raider? Hit your opponents hard while taking their money in speed which they cannot react. A witch, sorcerer? No that wouldn't build on your abilities. A black knight? WIth a knight's training both killing and defending would come at ease. An assassin? Yes, I could see you cut many in an instant." "A black knight I think. In the times I cannot move out of the way, some armour would be nice to protect me." "Very well. Don't pick up a shield. That part will come naturally. Let's stick with the offensive. Try and hit me." Copper fox throws over a sword to Dreyrugr and picks up one himself. Dreyrugr lunges but even his vampiric agility was no match for this mans experience. They swing, parry and exchange blows. Dreyrugr swings like an ammetuer despite his years. The fox however gracefully swings with style and grace. One could tell at a glance he had earned his place. As this carries on Dreyrugr starts to get tired. He looks at copper fox who is still looking as before the practise. This isn't working. As Copper Fox's next slice come down Dreyrugr catches it in his hand. It was a real sword and pain shots through his hand but Copper Fox's side was wide open. Dreyrugr sends a stab to Copper Fox but he simply smiles as he lets go of his sword, while jumping back and picking up another. "That is the mindset you need to get your opponent open for a blow, but you need to overwhelm them with power. What is your darkness? Bring it to life. Use it." My darkness? Dreyrugr looked inside his memories. He saw himself in different places. Observing life. Watching things go by. He looks further back to see more of the same thing. But things weren't always like this. When did he become an observer? Once he was full of life. Laughing, exploring, he had determination. The years had dimmed that fire, but it was still there. He looks to the beggining of his life. He found joy, happiness through the fog. Right next to it he found pain, sadness, loss, regret, ANGER. That memory back there, was all he needed. Dreyrugr starts running towards Copper Fox as a Dark aura wraps around his blade. He goes for a slash, but this was a cunning fox. Copper moves the tip of his sword to the handle of Dreyrugr's as he pushes causing Dreyrugr's entire blade of energy to be harmlessly flinged to the side. He then slowly moves his sword towards Dreyrugr. Come on, move. Dreyrugr could do nothing as the fox tapped him with the flat. "Well done, you manages to materialise your darkness. And you have the proper mindset for the style of a black knight. You have the basics, learn the rest. Even in heavy armour I'd say you can still dodge your opponents most powerful strikes. I'd invest in some armour worthy of a black knight. It will make sure you can still parry an opponents attack after shooting a powerful strike that didn't quite make it." Dreyrugr thanks the strange man and leaves, A Black Knight. Dreyrugr (Vash the Stampede) 1000 year old Male Vampire Rogue Black Knight Level 16 Power: 22 (Level 16+Weapon 6) Defense: 0 Health: 36/36 (Rogue Base 7+ Level Bonus 15 + Class Bonus 9+5 Raw Meat)
  15. Dreyrugr climbed off the ship feeling horrible. He managed so see Karie walk off. He wasn't worried about her business however and went to find somewhere to sit down for a moment. He didn't mix well with water, it even blocked him from doing his best in his last battle. He picked up the aquamarine in his pocket. He could feel the same energy pulsing from it. Dreyrugr smiled at the irony as the aquamarine would soon be protecting him from feeling weak around water.
  16. As soon as the wanted posters were found I made mental notes of who I could turn in later. And for some reason I feel like no QM would let me start a vampire army so I won't even bother.
  17. That makes me feel slightly better. Though either way we really should've used that newtraliser. Knock that encouraging off at least.
  18. Dreyrugr heads outside and simply looks up. The clouds obstructed everything. I wonder if the moon is full. Just like that night so long ago. I still remember every second. It's the only thing that keeps me going. Dreyrugr takes a walk around the town before meeting back up with the rest of his party.
  19. Another perma lucky op item that any of us had a chance of getting our hands on.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  20. Dreyrugr walked up to the individual. "Here is the arsonist that I believe you had a wanted poster out for. He met a rather ironic end."
  21. Manifestation of Lady Luck. .……………I want to face plant a wall right now. Just realized that we could've just used Amorith's newtraliser to debuff Fleur. :wall: :wall: :wall:
  22. Ooc: The quest is over right? You're not gonna drop thieves on me are you? Actually, do.....moar exp. IC: "I'm dropping this guy off before going for a bit of a walk. Any of you can feel free to join me."
  23. Well I agree it was slightly anti climactic with the weak boss but realistically thinking (cause people do that....) the party just went up against a bunch of armed guards, sailors probably trained to fend off pirates, and lots of aquamancers. A pyromaniac with a torch should be no problem unless he learned martial arts or something.
  24. "That's all I asked of you." Dreyrugr heads to the court district while lugging the arsonists body.
  25. Agreed, I'm waiting for him to drop the surprise boss fight........ Just kidding, this has been a blast. Great quest.
