    Sorry I'm on a bit late. First page of battle says the sp is 7 on the shield while on loot distribution it says 6. Edit: Read R&D. Now I know why Palathadric said Sylph deserved no loot. I was originally planning to go Assassin but then DLL gave us enemies with levels too darn high so I went the SP route instead, although I am still planning to go Assassin sometime to grab gold so I'd like to hold onto the gloves. I'm fine with missing out on loot for awhile to make up for it. If I got this shield I was planning to give the old one away seeing it's pretty much the same just better so that's fine. "Thanks for the shield. You'll probably just toss this back at me but here." Dreyrugr throws his impervious shield at Pretzel whilst trying on the Dragonbrand shield. "Sure. Whichever way north is down here." Dreyrugr walks to the north/left.

    Actually it says attacks that consume ether and healing consumes ether. (Most of the time) I know healing isn't considered attacking but logically it would nullify healing.

    I'd say it's a good deal however I'd imagine it also makes you immune to clerical healing which would significantly lower its usefulness in a tough battle.

    Actually he is, just that he will argue if there is an obvious error in the opposing statement. This doesn't work well because Pretzel has selective hearing. I'm hoping that after this one Dreyrugr just gives up.

    a) Not in character. b) Altering someones else's character is just downright rude. c) I'm holding back because I know I'd never get away with it.

    "You're impossible to talk to but I'll tell you of one obvious error in your statement. I have helped people getting no reward out of it. Nessa can attest that I pulled some strings and may have gotten someone a job back in Brendeton in the cloth business. Erik can attest I helped a young girl find her friend in where I got no reward out of the quest. Maybe you will not believe me but what about them? And I don't get where you believed I talked about ripping off businesses to 'favour the wealthy'. It's a problem of yours monk. If you believe something is evil you instantly assume every action has an ill purpose behind it, while that is a safe option most of the time there are some things in this world that you need to take at face value. I'll leave you with a question. You keep saying 'my kind' has no will of its own. If you became like me for some reason or another would that instantly mark you as evil? Would you be bend on seeking the destruction of the world? Or would you still retain the values that make you 'you'? Dreyrugr attacks Dragon Dan from the front row only if he is blinded.

    Oh good, I was worried for a bit. Mind you these conversations one sided witch hunts between Pretzel and Dreyrugr are really wearing me out here so I'm going to have to find a way to side step them soon. Nothing against Pretzel but its tiring. I can only dread what would happen if I was in the same timezone as you and we had the option to squeeze about twice as much arguments that they have now into a single day.

    Ok, I made a mistake there but still to my knowledge I haven't been hoarding stuff. Nessa got an opal. Erik got a duel striking weapon. Pretzel got slippers which will make sure he will never go hungry for ether again. Dreyrugr got a shako and Sylph hasn't really gotten anything great but I can't really do anything about that with what I've been given. PS: Giving more loot is always a good thing. Edit: I may not have held all those items but with how they've been distributed I don't believe anyone's been particularly missing out.

    You make it sound like I'm keeping everything for myself. I've given away the phoenix essence, the flash bomb and the opal, other than the 20 gold and the shako I haven't grabbed anything else. If you really had a problem out of character mention it, it's hard dealing with Pretzel who accepts nothing from Dreyrugr because it's been tainted by demon hands. And does it seem like I'm holding onto loot? I didn't think so but mention it if you do.

"You know nothing about me so don't go assuming you know what I think. And as for heroes maybe you do see yourself as one but can you honestly say that most people in the hall are. Last quest I was on we were hired to give the Hinkwells a monopoly on selling cloth. Do you know how many people that put out of business and the mess it caused in the city? And that quest was allowed by the veterans knowing or at least guessing full well what would happen. You might think you're a hero but we're just hired to do whatever job for a reward. If you really thought a hero of yourself you wouldn't be doing 'quests' to help others for profit and you'd do it for free. Don't hide behind the notion that with the rewards you can do a better job, some people use all the money they own to pay for heroica to help and we find enough to get by quite well without it. And why do you think we pay money for good equipment in the first place. People wouldn't charge us if they thought heroica was full of heroes. The very fact you had to 'pay' so much for that wonderful shield of yours shows that even the people of Eubric don't see Heroica as heroes." Dreyrugr attacks Dragon Dan.

    "The hero's way? You realise hero is just a glorified title. Could you say what we did in Brendenton was heroic? Read up on most of the quests done and what occurred and honestly tell me that those who went on them were heroes. Over my years I've seen only enough heroes to count on one hand."

    "Because that's generally what it comes to. For example that necromancer jumped straight into fighting and I'm certain he isn't the first you've met who prefers to fight than talk things through. For me it's much easier to strike first than try and talk things through. Especially when almost everyone I meet has the same personality as the monk. Be realistic."

    Sorry I didn't get on recently. "Shouldn't take long, I'm used to the dark. But if I go by myself I can escape quickly if things get tough. If you think Nessa and Erik should come with me would you mind sparing me a smoke bomb?"

    "......Despite the rotting part I'm guessing that's a compliment. Here Erik, have this bomb and a Phoenix Essence. Bombs aren't my style." Dreyrugr hands Erik a flash bomb and Phoenix Essence. "I've no questions about this Zylstra." Finally a lead.
