Heroica RPG - Decamon Tournament: Viridian Cup
Vash the Stampede replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Well I have electricity for now. Although I may have difficulty logging on tomorrow (life is convinced I don't want to play decamon for some reason ) so I'll post all my card choices now and hope for the best. Dreyrugr carefully weighs up his options before choosing his cards. Round 1: Flying 7 Round 2: Plant 4 Round 3/4/5: -
Just using the last bit of battery life to say that my place just had a bad storm and is in a blackout. Who knows power might be back tomorrow but if not I guess Dreyrugr will forfeit the Decamon tourney.

"Hoptet was it? I believe I've seen you around a few times. I wish you good luck." Dreyrugr politely said as he extended a hand to shake his opponents. In response to Hoptet having the first turn Dreyrugr played his Death's Rose (Plant 4). For his next turn Dreyrugr plays his Cave Troll (Rock 6). -
True heroism. How oddly accurate.
-
Dreyrugr somewhat remembering the last event mumbled under his breath, "I hope that if this loops a bunch the number of iterations stays below three digits". Drerygur was glad that his money came back and then goes to purchase a shark's hand for 200 gold. (355-200=155)

Rejoice greatly, for whenever you do an idiotic thing I've done it first.

I am 90% sure analysation was the word I'm looking for. 'Your mind powers will not work on me, boy.' Not that English is my best subject in the first place.
-
I was mostly jesting both at TCG's in general and how Flipz has already gone into full analysation mode (interesting, my browser doesn't think analysation is a word). I know there are several more complex things in the world. Like maths.

Heroica the RPG brings you Decamon, The Official Trading Card Game. We may have only developed this recently but we sure as hell are aiming to be just as confusing and mind boggle as every other Trading Card Game out there. Experience the strategy as you build your decks, joy as you collect your cards, and hours of headaches trying to decide which out of the two cards in your hand is the better play. Decamon, The Official Trading Card Game. Pick it up at your local retailer now.

Oh...silly me misread the rules and thought it was 5 rounds of 5 cards played at once. Now rereading its 5 rounds of 1 card played at once. Nevermind me I'll show myself the idot dorr.
-
I'd assume so seeing how there have been some Decamon mingames on some quests. And what would the champ be able to do with their shiny new class if they have no cards for it. A question I do have though what happens if at any time you have less than 5 cards in a round (Say you have horrendous luck or you only bought 1 pack and had a less than optimal round)?

Strange, I'd thought we'd long since tossed logic out the window. Sneaky bugger got back in, hang on a moment. *Opens window* *Throws out logic* *Closes window* Wow, he's gotten heavier since last time.

Although like I mentioned that hinges on one item out of that set which depending on your luck could make collecting parts of a set worthless if you don't get the critical piece.
-
"Maybe after a quest or two, whenever we see each other next will be fine." Dreyrugr once again seeing Pretzel's unhappy demeanor lets a small smile creep across his face.
-
Dreyrugr chuckled to himself not letting the monk's reaction slip by him. Dreyrugr was mostly annoyed at people's over the top reactions at his vampirism but Pretzel's utter disdain was rather amusing to him. "I'd rather you not call me 'master' if you would Matthias, I have an unpleasant history with that term." Dreyrugr dryly said whilst picking up the ale the Gnome had brought to him. Mulling things over in his mind Dreyrugr pondered for a moment before speaking up in a more conversational tone. "The Hunter's Plate is a rather nice piece of armour and quite honestly I'd rather not part with it for good, but I'd loan it to you again for...50 gold or so." Dreyrugr looked up and down the Gnome noticing he'd gotten a tad better and reminisced for a moment as he started drinking the ale. "You seem stronger, that cannon doing good for you?"

Problem then hinges on collecting one artifact out of the set which I think personally would take away from it. Say you had 3 or 4 pieces of Bone Suit artifacts, but not the helm. Rather useless. Although it would make some specials more interesting. Opponent Special: Removes a random artifact from the attacker (If the hero has a set equipped one of the pieces of that set will be removed). Then do you attack again or spend a turn getting the bonus from having the set equipped? Random Note: At the time of writing this CMP has 12345 posts.

Dreyrugr comes back into the hall after a long walk. Not finding any quests on the board he takes a seat in the corner.
-
I thought it took two actions (one from each person) not two rounds. Did the rules change?
-
This made me laugh way more than it should have.
-
Fair enough, guess that's me misunderstanding because that makes a whole lot more sense. (Still think hatching a fully grown dragon immediately is hilarious.)
-
Thinking of which that makes me wonder. The dragons size depends on the owners level, but each Dragoon gets an egg that hatches when they first become one. So say a level 70 character becomes a Dragoon for the first time they pick up an egg. Does this hatch and immediantly spawn an adult dragon? That's one heck of a growth spurt. So yeah, don't hatch one of those in the middle of town, unless that's your plan. (Get it? Hatching a plan.....yeah that was so bad I'll leave for another few months again ).
-
Thank you, I'll take a look at those quests sometime soon. Edit: Five minutes back and the editor is already giving me hell.
-
Well real life was a pain so I took a break for a bit and I'm back now, hopefully to stay a but longer. It seems my browser has completely forgotten what pages I was up to so could someone make a small note of major events/rule changes for me?

Dreyrugr comes back to the hall after a short holiday. He looks around to find both nostalgia, but also finds there are small changes since his departure. "Seems like it's been a while." The small bat under his cloak squeaks in agreement. Dreyrugr then goes to sit down and observe some of the changes.
